Well said, a very subjective piece of artisan craftsmanship by Vero. I have to say it's my most expensive UK legal EDC, and yes it's steep, *but* I absolutely adore this. I love it to the extent I have attached an AirTag via a very skeletonise ring/lanyard so it's not lost easily. Personally, I love it, but like the man says, it's very subjective :)
The Hoo knives seem a better option, same M390 steel with a double detent and Ti scale, over half the price. I have a Hoo V3 which am happy with, £170 was an extravagance for a UK EDC cutting tool. Probably only did so after seeing Carl was so cool and passionate about his craft.
Its unfortunate because its beautiful vut doesnt work quite well enough without a stronger lockup I eeckon they will make a v2 thats got a better lockup Maybe even a slipjoint
My man!!! ❤ Amazing vid!!! It’s worth every £, $ or ¥ you wanna throw at it. It’s a looker 👀 and amazing to fidget with!!! If you want a liner lock in it, check out the Axon, I have the mini with jade and red scales, and it’s just as good looking. I’ve also come up with 10 different ways to open mine, it’s so much fun! Would happily send it in if you want to check it out for a vid! Peace ✌🏽
It sure is a looker and crazy sharp and crazy fun to fidget with and I would agree with you but I recently found out that they are made in China which really makes me thing that it's far too expensive. if it was USA made then I would stand by what I said in the video and agree with you! Dude that would be awesome, I'd love to compare the two with each other as I do believe that Vero are an incredible company that make incredible product and I don't want my disappointment in this knife to make it look like I'm slating them because I'm not. It's a really nice looking knife don't get me wrong.. but, at this price point - the fact that you had to mod it yourself to feel safe while using it is just ridiculous in my opinion :D for me personally, somethin like the civivi foldis is a much better option.
I’ll be honest a double detent just is not a strong enough system. Needing to modify a knife that’s £350 just to make it useable just isn’t acceptable. A knife in this price bracket really should also have a high grade steel like magnacut. The sad fact is without a proper lock, us brits just have to accept that only a slip joint is suitable for legal carry. Though a knife like this with a finger choil might be suitable
Ok, this is total crap . Thee best ( and much cheaper ) Uk legsl carry knife is the spyderco ukpk.. The finger choil position means that when it's open ,and being held IT IS LOCKED . an even better value version is the BYRD TERN ( made by spyderco) The knife in this video is legitimately A 20 QUID KNIFE . Absolute shite . Proper ,utter bollox .
@TedHowells That's very perceptive of you ... 🤣 Joking aside, the spyderco ukpk / byrd tern Are the best uk legal carry loophole knives I've ever seen. HOO knives have a similar concept but over priced . They're " non locking " But absolutely locked ( due do the finger choil position) whilst open and held in the hand ,. ( which is where it counts ) ....
I have to agree. Since this video went live I learned that these are also made in China which is very disappointing when it has the exact same materials as the Hoo knives and had to be modded to make it useable which is something I've never had to do to any Hoo knives and they are half the price of the Vero Neuron. It's a beautiful knife and seriously sharp but all of the cons just really make it disappointing.

I completely agree

Very well said sir! I couldn't agree more. I just wish that we could have locking knives and non of this would be an issue!
@ yeah I’m lucky in that I work on a farm so can use a locking knife for work, they’re just so much safer to use
Ridiculous price.
Considering they're made in China I have to agree

Overpriced and flawed. Stop apologising for it.
Awesome knife , horrible price, benchmade prices, sorry not worth that
