    What helped me alot with the problem off added loft/spin to my drives was forward pressing the hands at address quite similar to the position they wud be at impact , and just swing from there, big difference!!

    I'm a Korean,
    Just like you, I practice swinging the ball with the toe of my left foot. I also try to maintain a hand first without loosening my left hand during impact. You are a wonderful swing choch. I cheer for you. Good shot.

    I looove the impact bag! I have an archery target bag, and a couple drivers I don’t use. So if they get damaged it’s no big deal. Just tried the exercise with one, and it’s great.

    I agree 100% with this! I would suggest to any you must have a device like prgr with your speed training. You can not progress with out measuring it. I always thought i was one swing thought from 300yrds. The prgr showed me i was 20mph away from 300yrd! When swinging at 90mph reality kicks in. Speed training will change your swing and you will go from 90 to 100mph plus!

    If you don't have an impact bag, then I'd suggest making practice swings with a super slow downswing lasting around 15 seconds. Making sure your feeling your body turning. Overtime, after hundreds of slow swings, speed it up gradually until you can start hitting balls.
    Going suuuuper slow makes a big difference.

    The most difficult thing for me is always to maintain the loft of the club stable and low while also having at least 4 degrees of attack angle. Hitting up on the ball while keeping hands bit ahead at impact. This is the most challenging thing to translate to body/arms/hands mechanics...

    Man I'm having the same issue! I've been hitting 4000 spin rate with 2 degree up attack angle and even with 157 ball speed I normally hit 260 but I should be hitting 280 at least if with 2000 spin rate. I had to flick my wrist like what you did at the start of the video to hit better cuz I always hear people say that club go ahead of hands! Your video seems like a really good tip and I'll give it a try tomorrow at the range. Solid content.

      Club goes ahead of your hands only in certain situations. Hackmotion reviewed all of th major swings and there are two clear winners. Go look up push draw, and pull fade. It's important to know that the wrists aren't the same for both of these. So figure which is natural and then play that. Unnatural will always be a poor choice if there is a more natural option.

    Senior golf swings can use this if:
    Backs hold up, balance, neuropathy, & hips handle the stress, spending weeks to train can happen! Seniors would be low hanging fruit in going deeper off tee!

    My tip is to address a couple inches behind the driver and half an inch inside. Then just try to hit this spot as the swing low point.
    Nailed drives incoming!

      @introaether937 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nice, Take this to the extreme and set up about 18 inches behind the ball. Tee it real high and absolutely let it fly. It goes all over the place, but just occasionally you'll bomb one 300!!

    Great content thank you. I am a little confused as you seem to just turn your left hip to start downswing without getting weight onto your left side? Is it because it’s a driver swing and not an iron swing?

    I just had a driver fitting. My swing speed was around 100mph. First 2 things the fitter said is your spin is way too high. Had a push baby fade. And my aoa was terrible. He had me set up like you with a baby step with the left and a big step with the right and changed my shaft. I went from 245 to 265 in about 5 minutes. Going to get a rip stick now

    @jchowngolf I can really see that first drill keeping the hands too far in front of the club easily causing a ton of blocked driver shots out to the Right for people not releasing the Driver correctly with the feel the impact bag is giving you. That type of Lag feeling is more for iron shots, right? Too much of that with Driver could lead to big ole’ Blocks.

    • @jchowngolf
      @jchowngolf  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Yes if the same level of shaft lean with the impact bag happens with the ball it will be way too much, but if a player (like I was) struggles with adding loft, there is no way that player will ever replicate that amount of shaft lean, but they absolutely have to feel that to move the needle. Exaggeration is key, if you’re not exaggerating your desired movement pattern, you won’t change that movement

  • @ThinkingMan482
    @ThinkingMan482 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Funny how we all have our individual problems in golf. I have the exact opposite patterns. Too much body, too late with the release, and too little loft at impact. I have to work on exactly the opposite things from this lesson in order to get good launch conditions. Hang back with the body, throw with my hands, and stop my hips racing ahead of my arms.

  • @iancanoy3888

      @@jchowngolf sorry I meant yours for optimal distance. Your old numbers are similar to mine currently: 101 swing speed, spin rate 4000+. I do not slice, my swing path is 8 degrees in to out but I have been told by a pga pro I have excessive wrist / hand action. My ball flight with my driver is high ( i forget my launch angle numbers ) and drops almost straight down at about 240 yds with little to no roll. My driver is set at 10 degrees nuetral with a 60 gram regular shaft (Callaway Epic).

    I'm so confused pal. I've had 5 different lessons now. Each time something different. The last one earlier this week said to put my hands behind the ball lol....because I over rotate my hips and shoulders and create too much lag in the club. He said I do the opposite of everyone else where they use the hands and arms too much, so now I'm trying to throw the club down and turn less :O
    Feck, about to give up I think.

    I recently got back into playing golf after not playing for over 17 years. Somehow my clubhead speed is 109-111. I grew up playing a lot of sports, mostly baseball so I’m sure that helps. My current carry distance is around 260-279, roll out up to 285-289. I’d like to break that 300 yard barrier
