    You covered all the bases I think except for the Enhanced Uncirculated finish. They came out with those in 2013 as part of a special set.

    I'm glad you mentioned the $2.35 premium. I'm always arguing with people who thing the ridiculous premiums currently on ASEs is the Mint's fault. Personally, I think the Mint should charge a little more. Also, I think people should be allowed to buy bullion directly from the mint, maybe a very limited quantity, like a roll. I've purchased only about 8 ASEs since 2020 because I refuse to pay those premiums.

    SW, the public should be allowed to purchase the ASE’s from the US Mint and not just the dealers. These dealers buy them for just a couple of dollars over spot price and then they mark them up to a ridiculous price for maximum profit. After you purchase them from the dealers there is little chance that you will ever make your money back,so it appears that only one person is making a profit from sales and it’s only the dealers. Why is the US Mint supporting only one kind of customer and not everyone. This has the hallmarks of a monopoly and the individual customer is taken advantage of.

    My question would be, why would I pay the US mint 60-70 bucks when APMEX is selling the 2022 unc, in its box and with CoA for about $45 probably sold out by now

    Hi, Wolv. There are six different finishes on the Silver Eagle. There is the bullion finish, and there are the four different finishes in the 25th Anniversary Set of five coins. The 2011 Mint State Enhanced Finish coin is a one-year example. There is also the newest and sixth finish, the Enhanced Reverse Proof.

    Thanx for the info. I think too many people confuse the bullion and the mint marked uncirculated ASE. The enhanced reverse proof is the best of the best followed by the enhanced uncirculated. I'd like to see more of them in the upcoming years.

    How do you know if you have 1989 W American Silver Eagle Bullion Coins or 1989 S American Silver Eagle Bullion Coins? is the only way to know is if you have the org. packaging?

    • @SilverWolverine95
      @SilverWolverine95  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It would have a S or W Mint mark on the reverse. If no mint mark it's a bullion Silver Eagle.. Bullion coins don't have mint marks...

  • @StunningCoinage787
    @StunningCoinage787 ปีที่แล้ว

    Agreed! Many differences throughout this series. I Love the 2021 T-1’s as best Eagle of all time! Closely followed by the ‘88’s and ‘89’s due to their oftentimes semi-prooflike nature and sometimes fantastic toning!! And the 2006 3 coin proof set(s) are quite nice too. The 2006 three coin gold set is on my bucket list of hopefully one day coins’!

  • @borisbuliak3626

    Ok it took me a while, but APMEX repackages bullion ASE in “official” US mint boxes, then right next to it in the same box is the W minted coin for $100 very deceitful on their part. It looked to me like an un burnished. Thanks for putting out this info. It’s a jungle out there

    I get the bullion eagles for $3-4 over spot from a dealer. But the eagles from the mint are $80-90. Screw that! In the end they're both just 1oz silver.

    Q1 Does the U.S. Mint release mintage numbers? Tens of millions of business strikes seems like a lot.
    Q2 Does the Mint release an list of the official dealers? I'd like to compare prices from dealer to dealer just for fun.
    Q3 How many monster boxes are made each year? Does the Mint price a monster box the same way as individual coins? (X amount over spot)

  • @tjmmcd1
    @tjmmcd1 ปีที่แล้ว

    The proof coin is unmistakable and could never be confused. However when comparing uncirculated to the burnished coin the difference is also remarkable. Even though they aren't placed on a flat surface, @ 7:22 the eagle depiction on the 2 coins look entirely different. Not only is the 'burnished/matte' coin MUCH more highly detailed, it looks like a completely different eagle altogether, aside from the missing mint mark. For starters, the branch looks far thicker on the minted coin, the wing angle is different and the eagle's head is different. Wth?

    What about the difference between the U.S. Mint website crashing and some people were able to order the 2019-S enhance proof silver American eagle? After all, back on November 19, 2019 I tried to order the 2019-S but the stupid website crashed because of Ryder’s stupid bots and I wanted to order it wearing my tutu and Mrs. Silver Honda‘s bra, lipstick and her heels for nothing.

    BU stands for Brilliant Uncirculated, not “Burnished”.

    • @SilverWolverine95
      @SilverWolverine95  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Correct I didn't say otherwise. However the UNC Silver eagle with the W Mint mark is on the Burnished Planchette. Yes it's known as a Burnished Silver Eagle but the US Mint calls it Uncirculated.

    • @rickbruceroche2038

      At about 5:38, “They may be called a Burnished uncirculated coin. These are the ones sold to dealers for sale to the public. They are listed as BU, and, when you google that, it is Brilliant Uncirculated.
