Just started watching videos of buying and investing in precious metals and had a question. I know next to nothing about any of this but if you were to buy silver to turn a profit as well as keep your wealth safe could you then convert that silver to gold as it is much more static then our devalued dollar and much less prone to influx?
I like and have both but my Maple Leafs are before they started putting lines all over them and the leaf sides are _really_ pretty. I also like the slightly more chunky feel of the Maple Leafs.
Thanks Silver Dragon... I am glad you included the MINTSHIELD Trademarked technology. Since 2018, The Royal Canadian Mint has included this coating to help with any potential 'milk spots'. I agree wholeheartedly with your final analysis...Go Maple Leafs!! LOL

I really just wish the us mint would step up their game and give us the proof like finish on regular coins like Canada does.. that mirror like shine on a coin that isn't sold as "proof" is just so nice.
I did the spread math at my coin shop and the non DNA maples are actually better than generic rounds if you can believe it. While the rounds are cheaper to buy the purchase price is lower enough that the maple comes ahead. The DNA maples is another story however as they cost me quite a bit more to buy and don't reward you with a much higher buyback to match it. I have to say I also HATE looking at prince Charles so this is another good reason to be buying the older maples. Mind you I don't like looking at Queen Elizabeth either... I do have to say that the maple itself both on the silver and gold coins looks really amazing and has a special "sparkle" to it that I really like.
I have lots of both but prefer Maples due to lower premium and Mintshield. Coin dealers in general are not giving you much more back for ASEs over Maples when premiums are low

I definitely preferred the Canadian Maple Leafs to the type 1 Silver Eagles. But the type 2 Silver Eagles look incredible! Same with the type 2 Gold Eagles.
@@ronaldchew4147I have been thinking about that. Officially you’re allowed to take €10,000 ($11,000) of currency when traveling abroad from the EU without having to declare it at customs. So since Eagles have a denomination of $1 and because they are legal tender, technically I should be allowed to bring back 11,000 Eagles (or apx 4,000 Maples) without having to worry about import fees and VAT. Not sure my little scheme would work though 😅

woudlve been cool to see graded examples as well, also the fact of grading Soverieng bullion, grading standards for sovereign bullion, how they grade differently, the costs etc. Kinda hard to believe you can compare the two coins without having and showcasing the coins graded, the coins grading standards etc. Not every coin that comes off of the minting process is perfect, thus why and how theyre graded determines many parts of that factor. Which country mints their bullion coin better, which uses a better metal, or higher quality planchet. For instance Did you know every single US Eagle made is actually A Sunshine Mint Bullion/Round Planchet; basically every eagle is basically a sunshine mint round, but the US mint uses their dies to press the design onto the coin. Canada uses a different mints brand for their planchets, or they possible use their own made planchets now. I still think the video is cool, but seriously so many content creators make this type of video, video format but still they never go fully into it. With more in depth details, intricate details etc.

Totally agree. Silver has a tendency to tarnish or turn milky. Having the coin that had resolved that problem is a big plus. Maples all the way!
Great video brother thanks for the info 😀
I really enjoyed your videos. I been learning so much from you. Thank you
I'd be curious to see a series like this comparing a few of the low premium niue coins against the maples the same categories.
i prefer maples ,im a big buyer of the privy maples,i just love the reverse proof on them
Fantastic sharing. Love it
I can't stand looking at King Charles either. The Maple is a beautiful coin.
He is a Dork
Maples are best but I do have 1 silver eagle because I got it as a gift.
Maples all day...until I finish my box :)
Maples all day…no milk spots
Another great video ! Thanks
I have many more Eagles but I have a fair share of Maple Leafs as well as Silver Krugerrands
I like the eagles but I love the maples.
I like both coins ,maples are good for stacking!
Just started watching videos of buying and investing in precious metals and had a question. I know next to nothing about any of this but if you were to buy silver to turn a profit as well as keep your wealth safe could you then convert that silver to gold as it is much more static then our devalued dollar and much less prone to influx?
I agree Dragons on the Maple leaf, I buy more, but still love the Eagles when I get a good price.
I'll take Maples over the Eagle anytime. Price is just too high on the Eagles, not worth it.
LOL
They'll never win the cup again! ;-)
I like the type 1 eagles better than the type 2 but the newer maples woth the radial lines are very beautiful coins and I like those better and I think they are my favorite bullion coin. However my favorite mint it the Perth mint the kookaburra and the lunar series even the 125th anniversary coin are works of art
If you’re ever up north in Olympia, my coin shop American Rare Coin would love to do an interview/video with you!
Maples hands down. Not paying the ridiculous premium for ASE. The ML is the most beautiful bullion coin. Both silver and gold
The king is ugly. ASE ftw
I'm in Canada, love the Maple, and love the savings.
That said, stack the coin of your realm. If things get weird, you'll want the home made stuff.
So that is an ASE if you are in the US.
I agree with you about not wanting to look at King Charles, lol. That’s why I’d get only the Maples with the Queen (2023 and earlier).
Informative and beautiful
maples 100%...they dont milk spot...that matters when time to sell.
Love your show
I was just looking at double maple Leafs on the computer. Pretty cool. Does anybody have any negative opinions on them? I might just buy a couple to collect.
They are very cool. They are 2oz and fat! They are really a step up from a standard maple.
@@sinesaii Wanted to thank you for the reply. Just got a few in the mail. They were hard to find. Seems like anything with Queen Elizabeth are being bought up. These coins are beautiful and just like you say nice and chunky. Quite a spread with the buy / sell but I plan on keeping them anyway. Even put one on display in my curio cabinet.
Both are beautiful coins. Wish I had some of both
Maples for sure
I have lots of both but prefer Maples due to lower premium and Mintshield. Coin dealers in general are not giving you much more back for ASEs over Maples when premiums are low
Today I picked up a 2012 1 kilo Australia koala coin with the queen on the back and it is a gorgeous chunk of metal.
Maples, hands down...🧐
i cant wait for the day i have my first tube of coins but till then im just a beginner and got my first coin (2024 maple leaf) and i hope ill be able to buy more , when i first wanted to buy a coin i just looked at them with zero knoledge and bought this one because of how good it looks and to be honest the more i find out the more i like my purchase , next big goale is eitehr continue to buy 1oz maple leafes or buy a 1/10 oz gold maple leaf , but cant decide so could you tell me the better option?
Hi, another awesome video. You're right, the maple wins. Thank you for the information.
I like the Maples. They also have 1.5 and 2 ounce versions as well which make them even better.
Maples look more polished and precise. Gotta hand it to the maples.
The proof eagles are great, but not the plain ones
I definitely preferred the Canadian Maple Leafs to the type 1 Silver Eagles. But the type 2 Silver Eagles look incredible! Same with the type 2 Gold Eagles.
In Croatia (Europe) Maple coin
is 36-43 Euros, and Eagle coin is 41-48 Euros ,all prices with VAT 25%.
A vat on silver? Brutal.
Can u buy Ag and Au elsewhere (example Singapore) and bring home?
@@ronaldchew4147 i can buy silver coins from private selers, this prices are from 30-36 Euros per coin.
Recognized you by your laugh at Harry’s this morning but decided not to call it out since you don’t show your face.
Thanks for showing me that Alexander coin.
Coin of the realm leads me to prefer silver Eagles here in USA.
Bingo!👍🏼
Absolutely 💯
Somebody gets it!
Don't get me wrong ... I have some Maples and Libertads... But the VAST MAJORITY OF MY SILVER is AMERICAN EAGLES!! 😊
Handmaid Tales, what if you bugged out North? Junk Canadian and Maple Leafs are good as a second choice
I really like both but I'd have to go with the silver eagle's 🥈👍
Which local coin shop has the live pricing on their website?
I have a tube of both
I’ve been wanting a new video on this
Well I remember you talking about the walking dollar and the maple because the American has silver and copper depending so the market is going to value the metals be safe everyone
I love both of them equally 💯
Just got my first stack of eagles, 2013. 20 for 680. Definitely fun
Great video!
Please make Maple Leafs vs Australian Kangaroos 🙏
I cannot decide which to pick as my main stacking coin and they’re priced exactly the same where I live
maples because of the mint shield, unless spotting doesn't bother you.
Nice Video
woudlve been cool to see graded examples as well, also the fact of grading Soverieng bullion, grading standards for sovereign bullion, how they grade differently, the costs etc.
Industry standard is 9999 silver, so it can be used like it is without further refining.
I love them both! ❤
I'm on the SD Bullion site, but I don't see how to apply for the sweepstakes. Please help.
