Bullion Silver Eagles are only sold directly to qualified bullion dealers from the US Mint. That's why you want to buy from the big names like APMEX and SD Bullion. The US Mint only produces the proof and what they call "uncirculated" to the public at a pretty substantial markup.
I have the coin ping tester. I used it last night for silver eagles. They tested fake but everything else checked out with the coins, I was getting concerned. Then I tried again tonight but pinged the coin on its side, on the edge and it worked, so the point is it very much matters how you ping the coin. I won't be bothering a coin shop on Monday to ask them if I got ripped off now. Yay.
Nice vid! Great job of showing the different ways to test your silver. 👍🏻
Thank you!
Some great tests. You can also use the magnet test which is non destructive. Great video sir.
Of course! Forgot about the magnets! Will have to do one of those next :).
The best way to know true silver is buying directly from the Government Mint! Isn’t it? Best regards

How about the ice test?
A vernier caliper is the best way to test thickness accurately......
Absolutely! I need to pick one up. Thank you!
Do u have a specific one that u like to recommend?
Density test. Weigh it, submerge and divide the numbers. 10.5 for silver
Always check your metals. Good video.
Thank you!
Nickel plated copper
Real silver coins will always be slightly over weight. If they are dead on or under that is a huge red flag.
More accurate scales are less than $10 from eBay, and micrometers are less than $30 at Menard's.
Good information 👍
Thank you, friend!
