Scott you are one of the most respectful of the deceased I know. Yes, you use humor and we all appreciate that, much of what is covered is so macabre.
Scott (and posse) are humorous, respectful, and tasteful. I just worry that he and whoever is in tow take too many risks to their safety like standing in the middle of blind curve lanes of traffic to bring us a video share.

I lived in Orange County, Calif when Nicole was murdered. She was buried in a cemetery up the street from my house. Streets were blocked off, cops everywhere. Very sad. For several years after she died I went and visited her grave. So sad.
Maybe it's time to visit her grave again to tell her the news. I believe everything felt into place. God decided to take OJ from earth.

@@70elcamino.wrong. He did go to prison for theft for several years. Not the murder charge , but he was found guilty in a civil suit. And later confessed and laughed about it in third person. OJ is burning in hell.
My teenage son asked me about this case upon hearing of OJ's death. I told him that, regardless of the lifestyles the families of the victims lead these days, I didn't think OJ's death would necessarily make Fred Goldman, etc feel "better" but that it would be another reminder of what occurred and what kind of person OJ was. A few hours later, I read Fred Goldman's statement on the matter and I was not surprised at all.
I agree with you, Scott - I'm glad we won't see news about him anymore, glad we won't see much about him anymore. NOBODY paid the consequences for those awful murders.

I remember seeing that Debra Tate was helping the Goldman Family with the petitions when Simpson was up for parole years ago. Her and Patti have talked through the years about parallels between Nicole's and Sharon's murders. The media dragging their names through the mud and the obsession with murdered celebrities. I thought it was great that both families were working together for justice. Whether they win or lose.
That's because both cases were hoaxes and media events. Psyops.

There are many people on death row that were convicted on far less evidence than that of OJ's.
He was acquitted in the criminal trial ("beyond a reasonable doubt") and adjudicated guilty in the civil trial ("a preponderance of evidence"). Justice was served; just not the way some of you wanted. Remember: Benjamin Franklin said that it was better than ten guilty men go free than one innocent man hang. Otherwise, our judicial process would have been the same as England's.
The hypocrisy of the news reporters is striking as they criticize you for the tours. The networks pre-empted all their daytime TV shows so they could show not just the trial live, but also the hearing that came before it. Television news is responsible for getting the public as excited and giddy over the whole thing as they (we) were.
As interesting as it all was, I remember complaining about not just missing my soaps but how network and Court TV news did as much as they could to whip the public into a frenzy over this, and why? Not because of the idea that a beloved public figure accused of a horrifying double murder (which had overwhelming evidence of his guilt) had any real impact on our lives, but for ratings. For ratings. They had absolutely no business getting on their high horse for anything.
It was news. Hence the media coverage.

My mum was very into the trial, watched every day sky news, I was twelve at time on school holidays, I remember verdict so well😮
Oh my, yes. Seems like last week the verdict was announced. I lost a a rape trial who was black. He was my therapist. Evidence was there. I remember black people cheering.😢

Imagine knowing not only that your best friend is a vicious murderer but that you might have gotten him off and now have to act like everything is cool. There is a scene in the FX series where he takes his kids to breakfast and says something like "we are Kardashians, we don't do immoral things for money". Later on he did interviews where he stated he had been friends for years but no longer and he felt he was guilty.

They were a pair of drug addicts who were killed over an unpaid drug debt. That American mafia you people are so proud of? There were multiple attackers seen leaving the house.
I have a friend who works in the court system. He told me , a LONG time ago- IF you can afford a $5,000.00 a day lawyer - you can and will get away with anything. (And by that , I mean sentence of 20 years for manslaughter will get reduced to 3 years w/ probation) . One of the factors is : the judges are often FRIENDS with the lawyers (play golf, go out to dinner, etc !) . Disgusting and unfair.

This trial exposed to white people, that even a black man who could easily afford these high priced lawyers can get off scott free- even though millions of white would not have.
You could commit 1st degree murder and get a suspended sentence in TX in the 50s or 60s if you worked for LBJ. Look up Mac Wallace. That said It's still going on today, it's almost worse because many of the politically connected crimes are just ignored and never even prosecuted anymore or if you're on the opposite side you get a kangaroo court where you aren't allowed to mount a defense.
house was not properly collected and entered into the chain of custody when it was first located. Although it was documented in his notes by Detective Mark Fuhrman, one of the first to arrive on the scene, no further action was taken to secure it.
The detectives who took over Fuhrman’s shift apparently were never aware of the print and eventually, it was lost or destroyed without ever being collected. Other items of evidence were also never logged or entered into the chain of custody, which gave the impression that sloppy forensic collection had been carried out at the scene.
The prosecution had expert witnesses who testified that the evidence was often mishandled. Photos were taken of critical evidence without scales in them to aid in measurement taking. Items were photographed without being labeled and logged, making it difficult, if not impossible, to link the photos to any specific area of the scene. Separate pieces of evidence were bagged together instead of separately, causing cross-contamination. Wet items were also packaged before allowing them to dry, causing critical changes in evidence. Police even used a blanket that came from inside the house to cover Nicole Brown’s body, contaminating the body and anything surrounding it. Beyond poor evidence collection techniques, sloppy maneuvering at the scene caused more bloody shoe prints to be left behind by LAPD than by the perpetrator.
Securing the Evidence
Throughout the investigation, there were issues with how evidence was secured. There was about 1.5 mL of O.J. Simpson’s blood assumed missing from a vial of evidence. The LAPD could not counter the idea of “lost blood” because there was no documentation of how much reference blood was taken from Simpson as evidence. The person who drew the blood could only guess he had taken 8 mL; only 6 mL could be accounted for by the LAPD.
To add to the problem, the blood was not immediately turned over as evidence but was carried around for several hours before it was entered into the chain of custody, allowing for speculation of when and how the 1.5 mL of blood may have disappeared.
The security of LAPD storage and labs was also brought under scrutiny when it was discovered that some pieces of evidence had been accessed and altered by unauthorized personnel. Simpson’s Bronco was entered at least twice by unauthorized personnel while in the impound yard; Nicole Simpson’s mother’s glasses had a lens go missing while it was in the LAPD facility.
A Question of Planted Evidence
Not only were there many claims that the evidence was mishandled in the police lab but there were also claims that evidence was planted at the crime scene. Because the police department did not have proper collection documents regarding Simpson’s blood, it was argued that the police planted Simpson’s missing blood on critical evidence and in critical areas of the murder scene.
The defense team stated that EDTA was found in the samples of blood that were collected at the crime scene. EDTA is a blood fixer (anticoagulant) used in labs and mixed with collected blood. If evidence with Simpson’s blood showed traces of EDTA, the defense claimed, then that blood had to have come from the lab, which meant that it was planted.
However, EDTA is also a chemical found naturally in human blood and chemicals such as paint. At the time, tests were not readily available to differentiate between natural and contaminant EDTA or the differences in the level of EDTA in blood. Some believe that the positive EDTA results may have been due to contamination of the equipment used to run the tests.
A Question of Character
Detective Fuhrman was discredited by the prosecution when he was alleged to be a racist and accused of planting evidence. When asked if he had falsified police reports or planted evidence in the Simpson case, he invoked his 5th Amendment rights against self-incrimination. Fuhrman was accused of planting critical evidence, contaminating it with Simpson’s blood, and falsifying police records. In Fuhrman’s book, he stated that at one point he was even accused of killing Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman himself. This put anything he touched in the investigation under scrutiny.
Understanding Forensic Science
A major hurdle that the prosecution team failed to overcome was the lack of knowledge and understanding regarding forensics, specifically the relatively new science of DNA. The jurors agreed that the DNA testimony was difficult to appreciate since expert witnesses were not able to put their evidence in terms that the jury could understand.
This inability to understand key evidence made the evidence essentially useless; even some seasoned lawyers found the scientific testimonies to be incomprehensible. It is reported that the DNA evidence showed that the chance that some of the blood found near the bodies came from anyone but Simpson was 1 in 170 million. The chance that blood found on Simpson’s sock could be from someone other than Nicole Brown was 1 in 21 billion. Blood samples found inside of Simpson’s Bronco, which was discovered outside Simpson’s home the next day, were equally matched to Simpson and both victims. Such evidence should have resulted in an open and shut case by today’s standards but was not made clear enough to understand at the time.
What happened in the trial of O.J. Simpson that led to his acquittal?
The role of the jury is to listen to both sides of the case (prosecutor and defense). The jurors have to unanimously decide guilt or innocence. Whatever the outcome, the jurors must feel that their decision is beyond a reasonable doubt. This was particularly difficult to achieve in this case. Going in, the public were already influenced by Simpson’s likeability and star power as a pro football player and beloved celebrity. Changing that initial perception was going to be tough. While the abundance of evidence certainly provided more than enough to do so, the doubts cast by the sloppy police work were enough of a window

My sister saw OJ at her cancer treatment every other friday for the last 5 months. They sat next to each other during chemo treatments. She says he was kind of nice. His eyes were empty though and that bothered her.

If you didn't do the tour someone else would have and charged more. The murders are a part of history. Seeing the scene makes it more real than watching it on TV.
It became such a big story because it was so unbelievable that a famous person could commit such a brutal, Jack the Ripper, bloody type murder. The world is a better place now.

I watched the entire trial (sh*tshow).
Judge Ito had absolutely no control over that proceeding. The prosecution was weak despite legit evidence. The "Dream Team" totally worked the system. ( Pro tip...don't get leather gloves wet - they shrink) Witnesses were not properly vetted -(Mark Furman).
It was a sloppy, way-too-long trial that was played to the camera by most of the participants.
oj has never expressed proper human emotion over the extremely violent, heinous attack resulting in a bloody death of two people (one being his ex wife) at the house his children were sleeping in. He never followed up on his "I'm going to find out who did this".
He is a narcissist who blatantly got away with murder because a jury was star struck and needed to score a win.
That expert that picked the jury really won the case. The prosecution bored them and talked over their heads for like 9 months

I was a NYC tour guide with a group of nuns when a Donald Trump’s limo pulled up in front of Trump Tower where we were standing and O.J. and Trump got out. There was a bitter episode where O.J. had a profanity laced incident in front of my elderly nun group. It was the worst incident of my life but the details were horrific! We got to see OJ’s frightening fury first hand!
I'm not surprised at all that Trump and Simpson would be hanging out together.

No doubt OJ had a difficult upbringing, and he had health issues that he had to overcome, but he made it big and that was due to his God-given, talent and determination. However, OJ was an abuser. He abused women, and he took advantage of his popularity and fame, most of us really liked him in the 70s and 80s, but we didn’t know him. Nobody knew until after Nicole‘s death just what an awful person he was. I feel like he never had to pay for killing Ron and Nicole and ruining his children’s lives, but maybe now he’s facing his true karma.

I enjoyed your commentary on this video. I have no doubt that OJ did it. I was in high school and we watched the verdict during class. All of the black students were happy and took it as a victory. I’m sad a lot of it turned into race instead of a double murder.
Yeah we all have sinned, but most of us didn't DO what OJ did (and he did it).
But when I heard about him dying, I didn't celebrate or go on Twitter and act like an idiot to say something vengeful or dumb.
The whole incident, the murder, the bronco chase and his trial were sad, grisly, and the chapter on this story can now be closed.

It's not for me to judge. That's what courts are for. Sadly, more times than not, they don't care much about justice or truth.

The documentary I watched, said that Ron Goldman only went to return her glasses that she left at the restaurant . She called and needed them back, and he was the one who offered . The documentary said the affair rumours were unfounded and made up by tabloids . Does anyone know how true this is at all?
He asked to leave the restaurant early, went home to shower and change and then walked to the condo to return the glasses. They were not intimate on that evening.

I think he was romantically interested in her. There isn't one thing wrong with that. They were both good looking and single. The glasses being returned was an excuse to see an enchanting woman he met on the job. Unfortunately he ran into a crazy murderer. the glasses belonged to her mother, not Nicole. So I can understand why she wanted to get them back quickly for her mom.

I was in a hotel in Munich Germany. We Just got back from a somber tour of the Dachau concentration camp with some of the veterans that actually liberated it. It was a month long tour with WWII veterans.. which my late father had served with. We turned on the tv and saw the Bronco /police chase on CNN International. I cannot believe it has been almost 30 years since then. Scott you were one of many that helped document that time and feeling in L.A. history, and that is a good thing. It happened, and should be remembered👍. P.S. you never go on too long for the people that appreciate history!

Pretty hypocritical of the press to go after you when, as you said, they were there for the same reason you were: because people wanted to see the crime scene. How much did their ratings go up during their coverage of the case?
The press was mad because every vehicle driving thru with “site seers” blocked their cameras or interrupted their recordings.
The press has no leg to stand on in being judgmental about what grave tours do. The press is the WORST for harassment and getting in the faces and lives of victims and their families and friends. You folks simply drive by scenes, you don't camp on their lawns, go through their garbage, look in their windows, knock on their doors, follow the families around asking stupid questions, etc. The general public is pretty curious, *I* certainly am, that's why I watch your episodes and others about true crime. My dermatologist was across the street from the restaurant and I drove down Bundy to see the place. I was struck by how tiny the muder area was. I also took your Helter Skelter tour. We are witnesses to history.
To quote Clint Eastwood, "he had it coming...we all have it coming." Keep up the great work. The history is great, but nobody gives you a look at the streets of LA like you do. And, as many have said, "the gloves fit now."
These places that get a lot of attention, the Simpson scene , menendez, Tate, etc., are always crimes that are unspeakable and so far beyond imagination. Folks are drawn to those particular scenes to maybe come to terms with the fact people are capable of such horrific acts.

one of the weirdest things about the blow by blow case were all the tight knit rich of the Brentwood small community who came out. Remember the guy who lived in the same condos a few doors down from Nicole, he was some sort of producer and the night of the murders he had flown into LAX and he was on his way home when the murders were going on. I remember he said he knew exactly what time it was because he had a weird habit of timing his trip home from LAX. Also the lady who OJ almost ran into blowing through a light in the Bronco. It was such a weird cast of characters.

Part of why it became such a drama was that they preempted the soap operas and we just watched this real life drama instead. All the networks competing for the most salacious bits

It always baffled me why they never questioned the fitting of the glove. The plastic gloves made them not fit correctly. But not one person ever mentioned it. I know the reason for the plastic gloves.
This is the first post I've watched on this and the last. I am apathetic about his death other than I hope it brings some emotional relief to the Brown and Goldman families.

Scott, I’m from and still live in the Greater LA area (Whittier , along the LA/Orange county borders). My family used to go to LA a lot for theater. The Amanson, Pantages, ect. Anyway we would go to the sites too. One afternoon we drove by Mezzaluna, OJ’s house. then Bundy. All during this time frame of the mid 1990’s.
My brother was goin to a private high school in Orange and the day of the Bronco chase, my mom was convinced my brother was on one of the over passes watching the Bronco go by. My mom read all the books. That trial was in our house everyday. My mom who watched it from beginning to end was convinced they were going to acquit him. People who watched the trial tended to feel that way.
You did nothing differently than everyone else did.
One final note. I think it was in 2018-2019 my sister was living in Brentwood. My mom and I visited her. Then we went to eat. Her apartment complex was 3 blocks from the condo where the murders happened. We drove by it then. It’s changed of course. The entrance has been changed and people live there. You can still see it. So ya. I don’t think it’s wrong. People are curious.

Scott, I think you handle your topic with respect. It was twenty years ago, and I can see your maturity to the situation now. My uncle was murdered and the person who did it died this year, so I look at this differently, but trust me, my family made some black humor cracks when we found out that he was dead.
On your tour we went by Gretna Green. It looked a lot different than when Nicole lived there. We didn’t go see the house on Rockingham
At that point we couldn't. They sealed off the streets for blocks. They had police stationed in front of Bundy and pulled people over for even touching their brakes, claiming they were impeding traffic. Which they were.
I had a friend who went to the same school that Ronald Goldman went to
and she remembered him as a nice person and the girls all had a crush on him.

Even if Ron wasn't the guy she was waiting for - it was none of oj's business. They were divorced. She was free to be with whomever she wanted to be with.
It always bothered me, that no one considered calling in a leather expert, to explain, how leather can "shrink" when saturated with liquid... blood or water... of course they no longer fit by then. That was a missed opportunity by the prosecution.... so I ask again, Where was the questioning, testimony or affidavit of a leather expert?????

The prosecution 'probably' DID consult a leather Expert, so, guess WHY they 'DIDN'T' call a leather expert as a 'witness'??? Does every owner of gloves have to replace them when they get Wet!? @@davidwicks9538 If you recall the trial, when they gave him the gloves to put on, he splayed out his hands, and that with the shrinkage, no wonder they didn't fit properly, AND he wore latex gloves as well, which would also throw off the fit of the glove but his hand did get into the glove. I have experience working leather... and yes, two different gloves can shrink the same if they were both wet. But, most of all, the gloves didn't have to fit perfectly... as it was a crime of passion, he probably grabbed the first pair of gloves he found. He did it, without question... and I will NOT miss him.

I saw an interview Thursday on Nancy Grace with Keith Zlomsowitch. He was involved with Nicole at the time of her death. He owned the restaurant, Mezzaluna, where Ron Goldman worked.
You have a business because people want to see this stuff. I love graveyards and these kinds of tours. You are always respectful. I love how the news people were questioning you but they were there more than you were. Well, it is done and OJ is no more. I think poor Ron Goldman was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. RIP to the victims.

I didn't know you were associated with Grave Line Tours!!! I wanted to go on that one of the many times I visited Hollywood with my husband, who was from LA, but never got to.
The hearses were not air-conditioned. A summer fact people forgot. But they sure looked good.

Nicole's murder happened on my 35th birthday, she just turned 35 the month before. It's just a very sad situation all the way around.
My moms bday is June 12th too, she turned 39 that day
As a battered woman in the past this was a slap in the face for us. He was so guilty. I’m sure he will get justice. And might be pleading for ice water.

🌹I lived in San Francisco for a long time and was aware of OJ's childhood difficulties. His father left their home to live a gay lifestyle, stayed close-by though, and saw his kids a lot. Still, it was hard. OJ seemed very talented, and I rooted for things to go well for him.
I had a friend whose family was friends with Nicole's family. They went to the beach together, etc. He said Nicole changed drastically when she began dating OJ, that OJ took her over completely; and my friend and his family felt concerned.
OJ, Nicole and Ron were all known to be openly hypers3xual. Since Nicole didn't go with OJ when he traveled for his career, I knew their marriage probably wouldn't be monogamous, which, of course brings problems.
People wonder if Nicole and Ron had s3x. What I say to that is, "Why not? Why wouldn't they? They were both hypers3xual. They liked each other and weren't in monogamous relationships."
I thought OJ was probably responsible for the murders and would probably get a slap on the wrist. I didn't want him to be guilty, but I thought he probably was. I felt floored when he got nothing.
Nevada made-up for it though. They really overdid it, so I guess it all came out in the wash.
In Nevada, OJ was trying to get back his sports belongings that he'd asked people to hold for him. The court saw it entirely differently. 🌹

At the time of the killings I lived off San Vicente in Brentwood. The number of visitors to the neighborhood was shocking and when I overheard one driver with out-of-state plates telling another driver with out-of-state plates where Rockingham Drive was (I vaguely knew where it was) I realized that there was intense interest in the case. After seeing the grave line tours hearse, friends and I booked a tour and we did a few other tours with Scott and visited the museum. 😄
Overall tragedy.
What he did to his victims was horrific. They had no chance. He was high as a kite and angry as hell. The jury selection was a joke too. So, so sad. Good riddence to bad rubbish, i say.

I was on the grave line tour on June 13th, the day the news was breaking. Had no idea what was going on until we got back to our hotel and turned on the news.
It broke on the 13th? There were a lot of 9's, 13's and 33's surrounding the OJ situation...

Actually OJ did confess. he did an interview that never aired on FOX about the book "If I did It" he explains the whole thing. It is available on TH-cam.
I think that visiting scenes of murder in many cases is a physical representation of an elegy. It presents to you a paradigm shift from the time before the event to the time afterward. I certainly felt that many years ago when I visited Dealey Plaza where Kennedy was shot as well as Ground Zero in NYC. A reminder that regardless of cultural or historical importance, that the reality we know can change in an instant.
Right after OJ's acquittal, my daughter and I had occasion to visit LA. We drove by the murder house and then his home on Rockingham, just to see how long it took. We were sure he did it anyhow, but making that drive was eerie. People were standing outside Simpson's home with a large banner stating "Justice is dead, murderer is free." Made it so real. As crime buffs, years later my daughters and I have taken some of Scott's tours and appreciated what he does. I believe it was in August of 2009 that we went to dinner at El Coyote with Scott and many others on the anniversary of the Tate murders. Thanks for what you do Scott.
If 'You' drove the route from Nicoles residence, the murder scene, to OJs house, how long (in minutes) did it take? Assuming "YOU" took the correct route!! "YOU'RE SURE he did it! RIGHT??? ... The fact is Johnny Cochran could not stand Oj Simpson. He took the case because he knew that Ojs initial atorneys were not legator's and they only made deals for pleas. Johnny wanted to milk this case fo his own notoriety

The OJ trial was my realization that people obviously guilty as sin can get away with anything if you know the right people.
