you really had to work for that one! Nice job. I have tried this twice and it amazes me to watch the cells popping up. Just when you think its done you leave and come back to find way more action. I have used a foam pouncer to absorb some of the black top coat to release the under metallics and that works to remove extra paint to let the pearls pop up. 😉👍 Thank you for your inspiration.

I'm so upset, I bought house paint and all the things Sara Taylor uses , follow all I see, and I got nothing ! So I followed all yours Dwight , and git not one pearl ! What the heck could I have done so wrong as to get "0" pearls ! I did get a fantastic amount of reaction from the new " Liqutex basics FLUID" in the small bottles ! That paint reacts even just to the floetrol ! It's crazy beautiful paint the phathlo blue is crazy beautiful, it's so rich. But still I'm upset .
First of all, you don’t need tons of ingredients to get the white pearls. My last video I only used artist loft soft body white, floetrol and liquitex pouring medium…and water…that is all, no silicone or satin enamel to get cells! It works! Usually I’d say to thin the paints, but I have a video coming out and I show you how thick my white base coat is and I still got fabulous cell! Don’t be fooled by recipes, you can get the same results with less. Plus, house paints don’t work as well for cells! Sara is a fabulous person and artist, and like me, she’s experimented a lot and found what works for her…practice and patience is important! Good luck!
Trying to u understand. Do all the dumps Work together? Or are they different? If you did last dump on fresh canvas , would you get the last one or did it take two underneath to get this.
Jenny Johnson not necessarily...but the effect will look different. Decoarts Americana brand is good for non metallic dump and swirls but you have to thin the dump paint as well as the puddle paint...much thinner than this pour. I’ve used other brands of metallics and finds that folk art works well too. It’s not always easy to do but once you get it down it works great!

So you only used the extreme sheen zinc on the third layer then?
I’d have to watch the video to see what I’ve done…zinc or obsidian works well with white as a dump color!

Probably composition and lack of cells forming quickly enough

Probably just wiping down a wet canvas with my brush
