Alright. Some Billy Idol. Is this your first Billy Idol? Some others were reacting to "Rebel Yell" recently, which is one of his most famous ones, but I guess you weren't in that group. He was big in the 80s, and had lots of good hits, then his career died down for a bit, and he made a brief comeback at the beginning of the 90s with the song "Cradle Of Love", that had a cool video that was popular at the time. He even did a little acting. Nothing to brag about, but he was in the Oliver Stone "The Doors" movie, but he's got a pretty small part, and doesn't look like he normally does, so if you don't know to look for him, you might not even notice. He also played himself in "The Wedding Singer". You haven't reacted to any Adam Sandler movies yet, like "Billy Madison" or "Happy Gilmore", but maybe those aren't your thing since you're kind of weird about comedy. But yeah, Billy Idol!
It's too bad you can't post pictures in the comments. I'm sure Bissie's never seen a young Sting half naked in his medal speeds. I think she might like that.
It's "Idol" like "American Idol" =P Billy started his career in a punk band called Generation X, known for songs like Dancin With Myself (which he sorta remaked on his solo career, I highly recommend both of them honestly. The difference is that on Gen X's version it's more punk sound), Ready Steady Go, Your Generation, One Hundred Punks and Youth, Youth, Youth. Recently him and another member of Generation X teamed up with Steve Jones and Paul Cook from the punk band Sex Pistols and performed each of the two bands's songs and called themselves Generation Sex. They did a gig here in Sweden last year (I think), I would have loved seeing them live! Other Billy Idol songs - like I mentioned, Dancin With Myself, White Wedding, Rebel Yell, Sweet Sixteen, Hot In the City, Flesh for Fantasy, Mony, Mony, Cradle of Love, Catch My Fall and I actually do like his cover of The Doors's song L.A. Woman =)
Billy Idol's been my favorite male artist since the first time I heard him back in the '80s. He has so many playlist-worthy songs that it's crazy. You'll have tons of suggestions to listen to his song, "REBEL YELL", and I would encourage you to do so. That is his iconic hit. To really hear him cut loose on stage, you have to check out his cover of "MONY, MONY (Live/1987)" th-cam.com/video/sYYAv-QW38Q/w-d-xo.html. Just clear a little space first, because you're going to want to dance and jump around a lot. Super reaction, my dear, so glad you've discovered this incredibly talented artist.
@@BisscuteReacts I am a trained singer but I have recently been paying more attention to lyrics and their meaning. I have so much fun listening to your reactions ❤
Your "Bad Boy Meter" was working. This is a softer, more of a ballad side to Billy Idol (Eye-Dol). Billy Idol was fascinated with the titles of horror films, including the 1960 French film "Les Yeux sans visage" (Eyes Without a Face). The movie concerns a plastic surgeon who vowed to restore the face of his daughter who had been disfigured in a car accident. This quest led him to murder victims and graft their facial features onto his daughter in an attempt to restore her beauty. By the end, all that remained of her original face was her eyes, thus making her "eyes without a face". Idol saw some parallel between the movie and the moral decay of a relationship going wrong that he experienced living in New York in the 1980s.
If you're looking for some "bad boy" vibes, check out Generation X, the band he was in in his earlier days in music. One of the archetypal British punk bands from the late 70s
Yeah! That has always been a funny thing about Billy Idol. That his whole look was very Punk, but his music was really more Pop. I'm kind of guessing here, but I think that was just a thing in Britain at the time. Oh, he's British, btw, but I think when Punk hit the scene there in the late 70s and early 80s, it was hugely influential on the culture, but also a lot of the music that was coming out of that time, wasn't just one thing, but it seamed like there was a lot of experimentation of mixing different styles of music. So, in his personal life and identity, Billy just might've really been Punk, and he was known to have a pretty wild life, but when it came down to it, the music they came up with just happened to work out to be something else. Unless you're a strict purist that wants to be a dick about it, then so what? Sometimes things just happen however they happen to happen. C'est la vie!
You'll have to incorporate the lip curl into your reactions 😇. And someday share the reason for your mood change 😍. Mony, mony or White wedding are good follow up songs for him. Peace miss cutie.
I don't think this is the best starting point for Billy Idol. Rebel Yell or White Wedding would be better since they are him full out bad boy punk/rock. This would then be a good changeup to see him doing something softer. Mony Mony and Hot in the City would be good follow ups at that point.
So bisscute did you cheat on Billy then:(? He seems to have taken it so hard that he wrote a hit song about it. Also i guess we now know bisscutes weakness..aka bad boys:).
Nice reaction. This is a softer song for Idol, who started in punk rock before going solo. If you want more of the bad boy sound, your next reaction should be "Rebel Yell". You'll see Billy Idol can scream with the best of them. You should also listen to "White Wedding", "Dancing With Myself", "Flesh for Fantasy", and "Mony Mony".
Great reaction and a really good song. White Wedding is my favorite of his songs and would be a great one to react to next. He wrote it about his sister who was getting married primarily because she was pregnant. That was much more common back at that time and it was often called a "shotgun wedding" when you got married because she was pregnant.
A fun fact about Billy Idol. For the movie T-2 he was the choice for the t 10000 but he got into a terrible motorcycle accident and almost lost his leg. Then Robert Patrick got the role instead because Billy couldn’t move his legs. I love this song. She should react to white wedding, rebel yell, sweet sixteen, cradle of love.
A random fact, the guitarist who appears at the moment of the riffs is Steve Stevens, a guitarist who has collaborated with Michael Jackson on "Dirty Diana" and in the main theme of the movie "Top Gun" he is recognized for using a laser gun. toy between the pickups of the guitar, taking the sound of this toy through the amplifier of his guitar, as in the guitar solo of "Rebel Yell" by Billy Idol and the final guitar solo of "Dirty Diana" by MJ

It's "Idol" like "American Idol" =P
Billy started his career in a punk band called Generation X, known for songs like Dancin With Myself (which he sorta remaked on his solo career, I highly recommend both of them honestly.
Woman =)
This song breaks into such a badass iconic riff...heavy as hell🤘🔥
Eyes without a face.. You can see but does what you see have substance. Perception is reality
Great comment
@@BisscuteReacts I am a trained singer but I have recently been paying more attention to lyrics and their meaning. I have so much fun listening to your reactions ❤
Pronounced 'Billy Eye Doll'. Next song > 'REBEL YELL' is amazing and more representative of his sound.
I've loved this song for 40 years... still my favorite Billy Idol song.
Nice reaction!
In the US, his name is pronounced with the long I, (AI), like "ah-ee-dol"
An Iconic rocker from my teen years.
Hola hermosa.✌😎❤

BTW, Billy Idol's last name is pronounced like "eye-dull"
HELLO Biscuit. William s

Checkout Flesh for Fantasy by Billy.
Yes he looks like a bad boy but he's a really nice guy in real life. His songs 'forgot to be your lover' and 'Rebel yell' are a must listen to.
Thanks will add on the list right now
Nice reaction.
I will add on the list
Very good
"Rebel Yell" for the opposite of this
Try also
White Wedding
Flesh for Fantasy
Hot in the City
Mony Mony (Live 1987)
I should add on the list
Oh, he a bad boy. Try "Cradle of Love"
Thanks will add on the list right now
Great reaction and a really good song. White Wedding is my favorite of his songs and would be a great one to react to next. He wrote it about his sister who was getting married primarily because she was pregnant. That was much more common back at that time and it was often called a "shotgun wedding" when you got married because she was pregnant.
Thank you so much
WELL YOU NAILED THAT BOOK LISTEN TO REBEL YELL AND WHITE WEDDING
Rebel Yell and White Wedding are some of his most popular songs
True
Love your reaction as usual Miss Bisscute and your pijama💓💓💓, great musical choice, next you should react to his classic song: white wedding.
Thanks will add on the list right now
A fun fact about Billy Idol.
Billy idol's a legend.🔥🔥🎸💪.. Check out more.. Rebel Yell next
He is
Amazing song, and that guitar part is a KILLER!
You should react to Duran Duran "Hungry like the Wolf". Trust me this is good.
Thanks will add on the list right now
I recomend you listen to def leppard
Love this song! Next you should try doing a reaction to Creed! Six feet from the edge!👍🏼✌🏼
Thanks will add on the list right now
A random fact, the guitarist who appears at the moment of the riffs is Steve Stevens, a guitarist who has collaborated with Michael Jackson on "Dirty Diana" and in the main theme of the movie "Top Gun" he is recognized for using a laser gun. toy between the pickups of the guitar, taking the sound of this toy through the amplifier of his guitar, as in the guitar solo of "Rebel Yell" by Billy Idol and the final guitar solo of "Dirty Diana" by MJ
