❤❤❤❤ Yes yes yes I am so here for it! I love me some Sherlock Holmes! I'm grateful for the upload!!! You have just made my night! Shout out all the way from Baltimore Maryland 💜💜💜💜
Watson would have AGREED that much can be determined simply by observation. Conan Doyle was a doctor who based Holmes on one of his professors who was famous for his powers of observation. Examination of a patient starts with INSPECTION, (followed by palpation, percussion and auscultation).
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE NIGEL STOCK HE DID 5 DRAMAS IN THE LATE 1960S WITH PETER CUSHING AS SHERLOCK HOLMES THESE WERE ABSOLUTELY SUBLIME BRINGS A TEAR TO MY EYE TO THINK THESE WONDERFUL GENTLEMEN HAVE LONG SINCE DEPARTED BUT AT LEAST THEIR WORK WILL STAY WITH US FOREVER. R I P PETER CUSH AND NIGEL STOCK FROM DAVID EAST ANGLIA COAST NORFOLK 😊♥️🌈🙏
One of the best versions in which SH and Dr W are not reduced to inane exagerated stereotypes. In the US versions Dr Watson is a gibbering idiot because of the scriptwriters feeling the need to explain even the most simple twists in a plot to the audience! We see the same device in the CSI series where there is always a trainee staff member who needs to have everything explained to him.
That's so true! I don't like those versions of Dr Watson... To me the best version of him is with Jeremy Brett...I really can't get with the ones where he is fat and stupid!
Holmes never dies in canon. Doyle tried to kill him off so he could stop writing the character, only to cave in to public demand and bring him back with a "faked death" storyline. He eventually retires to keep bees in the countryside, and that's where Doyle leaves him. Anything else is ultimately just fanfic, no matter how sincere or well-written an homage it may be.
What a rare treasure these recordings are.
The great Nigel Stock….top notch 👏👏👏👏👏😊👍👍
I can't believe it. There are tears in my eyes. I am getting old and foolish.
NO NOT FOOLISH NOSTALGIC SAME AS ME 🙏🌈😊

You have to be smart to become a doctor.
How many of these shows are there ,they are really good
I'm new to Sherlock Holmes. Is this really how Sherlock dies?

DOYLE BROUGHT HIM BACK MUCH TO THE SHOCKED DR WATSON AND THE RETURNING STORY WAS ONE OF THE BEST THE EMPTY HOUSE I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT 😊🌈🙏♥️
He was a very good Dr. Watson but (for me) that other NIgel takes the prize as Dr. Watson.
Don't like the voices at all.
