THe full cast adds so much more than even some splendid audio books and of a different level altogether than the godawful AI voiced stories. Truly superb and gratitude to all involved

Overacting at it's best. But you have to be really bad to ruin a Doyle story, but they gave it a good shot.

What I like about Holmes was that he was more concerned with solving the case than racking up arrests. He was calculating and not driven by his emotions, but he was kind. He was as concerned with the well-being of the poor as he was his rich and influential clients.

This story always kicks me in the gut. Her mother and stepfather were so cruel. Holmes should have lashed them both or paid one of his street friends to whoop them.

He didn't love his wife, he loved that she provided a handsome income from the insurance money!😢She didn't love the children, she was a mental case!!!🙄

The irony here is thick. Conan Doyle himself was a serious proponent of seances and spiritualism. Maybe he was being blackmailed too. Actually I believe he lost a son in WW1

A great retelling of a story I read many, many years ago.

That episode had a couple of poignant moments. Holmes reflecting on how much London has changed, that he doesn't feel he belongs there. Then there's that final scene...

Clive Merrison is perfect as Holmes, I used to listen the original stories on audiobook over 30 years ago. I always used to like falling asleep listening to them, I even took them on my honeymoon😂

The actress playing Helen Stoner, her accent sounds curious. I can't place it.

Thanks a lot for uploading this production. I didn't enjoy the story, it feels rambling and dull until the climax. Simon Callow is pretty good as Holmes but the actor playing Watson is very poor. The inclusion of Professor Moriarty seems pointless, because he hasn't much to do. The tennis scene I'm sure could have been omitted.

That Welsh character was a bit fiery! Reminds me of my father. A good story overall, Andrew Sachs is an effective Dr. Watson.
