I translated this story into Polish myself. As it happens I am much interested in maritime and Naval affairs, and good at languages. The gentlemen from Baket Street have been my good friends for years. Quite capable of dealing with problems of this sort. And West himself deserves to be decorated posthumously with Victoria Cross. ♍🇵🇱👍🇬🇧

Excellent dramatization. For the possible next one, I should propose to include a final scene - one of posthumous decoration of the late A. C. West with Victoria Cross for his gallantry in the face of enemy. Defending state secrets in such gallant way as his was, deserves honouring. ♍🇵🇱♥️🇬🇧♥️👍👍

I was looking for the perfect Sherlock Holmes radio play to put me in a pre-christmas holiday mood....this was perfect. Thanks for uploading and hosting this. I had never heard this particular radio play before today and thoroughly enjoyed the story and the interplay between these two great leading actors.

John Pratick Lowery, Laurence Albert are fantastic Holmes and Watson also. How can anyone listen to Sherlock Holmes without violin. It just isn't the same... I listen to these over and over!

I absolutely LOVE ending a hard day in an industrial kitchen with a hot shower and going to sleep listening to these shows. To quote another franchise; "it's a movie..in your mind." Thank you so much for this nightly treat. Great actors; quality; Foley work..just amazing :-)

Recognised the voice of Robin Ellis. He was a brilliant and stirring Poldark in the first series made back in the seventies. 😊

These are usually superbly done, great scripts and faultless acting but the Watson in this episode sounds like an amateur. In trying to act his socks off he loses credibility and only reminds me he's standing in front of a studio Mike with his script, which is a shame. Every other episode in this fantastic series is brilliant in its realism.
