Came back to give a review. I used the revolutions Plex for a month and my hair has never felt more dry and damaged. Don't recommend for fine hair that gets greasy roots and dry ends.
I’ve started using all olaplex products I’m on my second month and I’m starting to see changes in my hair on the ends are starting to look healthier. Also I’ve heard k-18 is supposed to be the best now could you do a review on that brand please x
I can’t justify the cost of Olaplex, but I do use the Revolution conditioner after Tigi blonde shampoo. The shampoo’s made the biggest difference to my hair - my blonde looks more vibrant and I have lasting volume. Alcohol in products doesn’t really bother me; it’s usually included to help deliver other ingredients into the hair, skin etc, but I think some types can be more drying than others, and it also depends on the formulation. Having a healthy scalp is key to “healing” hair - the hair itself is dead, so it can improve a bit in condition but focusing on growing healthier new hair is probably more effective - certainly what I did after years of colour and bleach.
I use Olaplex as well as Schwarzkopf Blondme products to lighten and maintain my platinum blond hair! They work wonders together and my hair looks and feels amazing with no damage I mean none! Wouldn't trust any other products!
Hi, can I ask what olaplex products you use? Two weeks ago I had a balayage done and for what I paid I I'm looking to preserve my blonde and keep it soft. I went to Ulta ready to purchase olaplex and was talked into Redken acidic bonding shampoo and conditioner... I am just not feeling it. I used an Aveda color preserve shampoo and conditioner and my hair was much softer with that line over the redken, but I really want to try the olaplex line. Sorry if this is long-winded and thank you for any help!
I got a few Olaplex products because of your recommendation but I have to say that they’re overhyped. They did nothing for my hair. Once I stopped using them it didn’t have an effect anymore. After that I listened to the beauty brains (two cosmetic chemists) and they also said it probably doesn’t rebuild bonds as the company claims.
They make a huge world of difference for me, but that's only when my hair needs it. I only use it when I color or use too much heat on my hair, otherwise I find it unnecessary as a daily thing. Alot of times what you need is just protein or moisture which are entirely different things. Olaplex is supposed to be for the bonds which we nickname the bones as hairstylists, protein for the cortex which is kinda like the muscles, and moisture for the cuticle which is like the skin. You focus on treating your skin the most daily cause it gets the most damage, occasionally strain your muscles, and you don't treat your bones unless you break them, think of your hair like that.
🍋🍋🍋I've loved ya all this time. You rock especially being a latina/Portuguese Girl POWER. God bless you and your beautiful family. Sending you love from Orlando, Florida
🍋 been here from the beginning and can literally say I have saved tons of money because of it 💪 For the first time my hair is healthy and still blonde 🥰 My biggest take away from your teaching is I can still be blonde without OVERLY bleaching my hair . Lol I use the Redken Infusion 6nn and 8ag for my gray/brown roots and the baby light technique and my blonde hair look more soft and healthy . I use a mix of Redken Shades eq 9p, 9nb, 9g, and clear to get the results I love . I am not a hair professional, just taking tips from you and learning my own hair . It’s been a lot of fun .❤️ Thanks for all the amazing videos . They help us all tremendously 🥰
Thanks for doing this! I probably would've bought the whole line and thought I was doing something lol. When you get a chance if you haven't done it already, could you do a video about the whole Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate line? My very platinum very damaged hair needs to know if it's worth it. Lol.
Hello Elle ,I am new to your channel. Wanted to ask if you or your clients have had any experience with hair loss using Olaplex?? Only been using the Olaplex line for about 6 months ,I am seeing more and more hair loss. Never has happened with any other luxury hair line. I have read other reviews for Olaplex causing hair loss. However I do not use online reviews to judge products performance. I usually use them to judge the performance. That being said ,I really like the Olaplex products ,how my hair feels and looks. But I can no longer ignore the hair loss. Your thoughts?? Thanks. Love your videos.
considering olaplex isn't a scalp care line I cant see it being the reason why you are experiencing hair loss. I would recommend exploring other possible reasons why this is happening. Again I have said this many times on my channel, there is yet to exist an ingredient or product that makes hair fall off. If there was such a delicate product as "haircare" that removed hair from your scalp (the largest folicles we have) the waxing, laser hair removal and shaving industry wouldn't exist.
@@Ellebangs Subscriber and love your content but this is absolutely not true. The fact is that any topical application can negatively impact the health of the scalp. The scalp has its own particular microbiome (fungal and bacterial). For example, Cutibacterium acnes and Malassezia globosa are affected by what we put on our scalp and this can cause or exacerbate hair loss. The skin on the legs or wherever is not the same. We are well aware this is true for face skin which can be more reactive and sensitive. So yes, Olaplex or any other product could cause or exacerbate hair loss if your scalp environment reacts negatively to it. It is very individual and it’s for you to figure out. My advice is just in case to also check your nutrition to make sure there are no deficiencies. Iron, vitamins…do a panel. As we age, we may absorb less protein so even if we have a balanced diet a deficiency could creep in. Test before supplementing iron - too much is not good either. Check thyroids…stress, not sufficient restorative sleep…There are many possible causes but start with easiest: bad reaction to a product, diet, and thyroid issues.
I had to stop using Olaplex #3 due to a sudden hair loss. It took only two applications one week apart. I even contacted the Olaplex company on the matter, and had been advised to stop using the product. It has been 4 weeks since last time l used #3, and the hair loss subsided dramatically.
Too much protein can be bad and cause breakage, you’re probably using more than you need to, and should swap to moisture masses without protein. Then rotate them. Buts mentioned, have things like your thyroid/hormone levels looked at if it continues after that.
Also I remember the 🍋🍋🍋🍋💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛 went back brunette for a number of years and have recently gone back blonde and the first thing I've done it come back to your Chanel! 😍🍋💛

I had really greasy hair the first time I’d started but I kept using it and within 2 weeks of washing probably 2-3 times a week I had the change where I’ve lost the dandruffs, greasiness and had really healthy Look and my scalp didn’t grease until I washed again … maybe try again ?
@@MissDanielas That’s super interesting, I used it for 6 months straight. I use it here and there, but I won’t go back to it full time. I use Purelogy, the Hydrate one and love it.

Hi Elle, I was told by a hairdresser that using Olaplex 3 alone (without any other Olaplex products) wouldn't help that much and that you need more products from their line for it to work correctly. What are your thoughts? Love you and thanks!
I can assure you that's not the case. Initially it was the only product to take home. However you do see better results when adding the 0 and the 8 and styling with 6&7 etc
That is 100% accurate she has a video that she states you Need Olaplex 0 on the hair for 10 min first. Olaplex 0 primes the hair to be bonded By number 3. So it’s like wood- you wouldn’t cut wood and straight away stain it. It needs to be sanded and primed first. Or like carpets can’t shampoo a dry carpet. Need to rinse it first. Like your body or hair, you need it to be wet first before washing up.
