I love this arc so much, just when one side of the succession war (mafia sideshow) slows down in pacing Togashi can quickly switch to other characters. over the next twenty chapters I think we will see absolute chaos start to take hold of the entire ship.
I love how literally more than half of everyone on the ship could die before even making it close to the dark continent 💀

The way I read is that the nen Kacho knows they’re a nen beast and that their function/design is to take care of Fugetsu, which is worrying for them giving how her current state is.
nen Kacho is a single object (person), you should refer to her as she, not they. But I guess you're gay or something...

Fugetsu might be cursed by 2nd prince with her untouchables. Or because they are twins, it's nen after death and is closer to what Hisoka did. Just no contract, but the nen jar might make its own nen contract, more so since she's a twin.
The fact that Kite came back in another body, without being consumed by the chimera ant queen, makes me believe that souls truly do exist in Hunter x Hunter, and can be transferred into another body. If so, I think a nen beast could absolutely shift kacho’s consciousness from her dying body to the nen beast.

I thought the nen beast at first was just acting like kacho to make fugetsu think she's still alive, but it appears he entire soul from her attitude, consciousness, thoughts, it's actually kacho who's been reborn as a spirit beast
This batch of chapters made me respect Togashi as a storyteller even more.

That Fugetsu abnormal behaviour & her freely able to use NEN beast ability really caught me off guard.
Where exactly are those evil spirits coming from? Is it something to do with the succession war that prevents the princes participating to escape the ship? And it looks like if that's true, and fugetsu is truly been going in that tunnel multiple times a day to the same location kachos body is, she just keeps getting cursed for trying to escape
@@patrickzalatoris3206 People are speculating that it's the 2nd prince Camilla's bodyguard. There was a chapter that explained her underlings called the untouchables who are able to curse people.
found your channel through that video on chapter 383 (kacho's death) you did, that was my favorite chapter so far in the arc and your review of it is the best there is on youtube imo and been sticking around your channel ever seen, thank you for these reviews mate you did a phenomenal job with them
I love this arc but man it's breaking my brain a little. It's like condensing multiple one piece arcs into one, in terms of density. I've read chapters 340-390 multiple times and it's still difficult. Remember that Ging and Pariston formed a group to get to the dark continent? Remember that Pariston has a small army of chimera ants? Remember that 13th prince Mayram is inside a sort of pocket dimension with his bodyguards? Also, how does the 3rd prince know about Kacho's death, or is that a typo (chapter 390 I think)? My god it's so much. It'll probably be easier to follow if it ever gets an anime adaptation.

Regardless, Hunter x Hunter has risen to become my second favourite manga. Behind Berserk of course.
If you have a bit of extra time on your hands, you might want to check out this new monthly (-ish) shounen manga by the same author as Fullmetal Alchemist, Yomi no Tsugai (English title: Daemons of the Shadow Realm). I think I just want to hear someone talk about it lol. I'd say read at least the first two chapters if you're interested, the first chapter alone is a bit chaotic.
Regarding the third prince being aware of Kacho’s death; going off of chapter 400, it seems like news of her passing was travelling fast.

They do even their character designs have some similarities to Gon and Killua
You forget prince Luzurus the stoner, the rap lover, the mafia lord... Maybe he wants to use Senritsu to give the other princes some magic brownies 🤷
I'm just thankful that we even got 10 new chapters of Hunter x Hunter this year. However long it takes for the new chapters to come out, I'll be patient. Togashi still loves this story and it's great to know that he has not forgotten about the fans who love this story.
now i know why togashi decided to kill shalnark and kortopi before the succession war. imagine shalnark controlling anyone in the ship to spy lol or kortopi creating copies of people and shalnark controlling them/ creating copies of objects and planting them to princes to locate their location using kortopis en they would be unstoppable without even risking their own life. well played togashi

Not so much the technique itself but more how everything goes to shit after it.
I could honestly see the entire Kakin dynasty being wiped out and the Kakin mafia becoming the de facto government of Kakin.
This has the potential to be a top tier arc

Maybe I'm crazy but Ive seen the reddit and some vids regarding fugestu spirits behind her and no1 mention Luzurus Nen Beast. If you look at the wiki it says it "set traps by materializing whatever the target desires as bait. When the target satiates their desire, the trap is sprung and the ability activated." Now combine this with the fact Fugestu showing up to Kacho and saying "I've Got a Massive Game Changinging News" regarding her ability. The liklihood is that Luzurus Nen Beast a Desire She wanted which was to expand her power and took the bait somehow. Now the trap has been activated the trap is slowly killing her and the way to prevent her death is to "return" that desire she got from the trap. Feel like this is the most likely case but no1 has said anything aboit it
If im not mistaken the prince Tebeppa is in alliance with the 4th. Maybe knowing that info made Kurapika say yes.
so many questions: how does kachos mother know about her death..did nasubi tell her ..does it have something to do with the urn ceremony conditions ? what are they .
now for kacho condition they are few possibilities : it could be the her interaction with the nen hands tha killed kacho ..could be the curse soldiers of camila ..or its just the drain of her nen by having 2 nen beasts as melody said ..by imo fugetsu found out about kachos death perhaps a gut feeling or she sees her disapear when she gets tired so now she forced herself to stay awake to keep her sister around
this is just a small subplot cant wait to read how it goes and more in 2027

You watch/read Akagi at all, Ryan? HEAVY w the dialogue and narration, arguably one of my personal favorites (next to Monster).
Kaiji (Season 1) is just as solid and is created by the same mangaka (Nobuyuki Fukumoto). The manga "Gin to Kin" is ALSO created by him and is DOPE AS F*... a MUST read, without a doubt.
All that aside, is it possible for an ex-user of Nen whom lost yet re-learned it to then become a teacher of Nen? Just curious..

The book of tyson is his own creation. The reason anyone who reads it is because of his nen beast. It was also explained that the nenbeaats cannot be used to kill or attack any of the others. Also the princes are unaware of their nen beasts. Their main goal is the proctection of thier prince. Tyson wont be able to affect the king also tysons nenbeast will only work on someone that actually reads his book. The princes do not have nen abilites. Their was only 1 or maybe 2 kings who had knowledge of nen and i think Benjamin was the only one who was trainef to use nen before the war. And when kurapika told everyone this only a few princes had someone come and teach them nen.
Hi, I really loved those last chapter 🥰, and I got something else, at the end of the 3th page we can see the giant boat surrounded by a bunch of birds, it could be nothing but a lot of times in movies seeing birds near a boat implied that we are near a land. So we might arrived sonner that expected or find a unexpected island 🤷♀️

Yep we're done for now again and it's awesome to be at chapter 400. I loved how all the strings are coming together phantom bros gonna be near the transmitter soonish, princes are moving in a cool direction and sucks to see Fugetsu in that state then Melody gets a love confession good for her plus she's about to be at the center of something massive also Kuripika shows up right at the end lul

This chapter was my perfect Christmas gift. Kacho is my favorite Kakin prince and I'm so happy to see that she's, well, even if not exactly "alive", at least not completely "dead" since it seems that her conscience has survived in her guardian beast 🥺.

Nice review, and merry christmas. Relax. Some of the community tends to be kinda critical of TH-cam reviewers because sometimes misinformation tends to spread that way, but you did an amazing job here, and honestly that is more on the fault of the anime community sometimes placing TH-camrs too high on a pedestal rather than the reviewers themselves, who are just normal people who happen to have a platform.
On Caesar/Kaesaru/Ceasar (the glasses guy from the Ministry of Justice who is befriending Melody), the guys from Tserriednich's army mentioned that they are planning to also make their move to take control of the government, and that they don't like the Mafia's ties with the Kakin royalty, which is more than likely why he wants to kill the older princes. The ministry probably hopes that a younger Prince wins the Succession War because they'll be easier to control, and that is probably why they are helping Melody, Kachou and Fuugetsu.
On the curse, yeah. I think it was probably one of the Untouchables. They only had to touch the Prince to activate the curse at max power so it would overcome the Prince's Nen Beast, but since Fuugetsu would be very tired due to her overuse of the door, it is possible they just placed the curse from a distance. Moreover, among the Untouchables there was an old lady who was a Nen exorcist, so it makes sense that Camilla could be planning to blackmail Melody into performing so she can kill the other Princes.
Tyson took over her sisters mind fugetsu is now serving tyson the rightful king of kakin, im rooting for you tyson !!!!!!

Ryan my friend so the big question is. The characters we been following all have been independent within their own storylines. Do you think we will see the phantom troupe meet up with Kurkpia or Hisoka. We have not even see Gon or Kulia in a long time. I really will be disappointed if some of theses characters do not have interactions and die before they make it to the dark contentment. Who would you like to see have interact before they either die or land on shore.
I love your Hunter reviews and would love to see your theories on upcoming chapters and plots. Will they ever reach the continent, what will happen there, Troupe vs Hisoka, Kurapika's plot etc. Also, yes to you wearing suits 🌟🌟🌟

You forgot to mention Silent Majority, this Tubeppa's guard could be THE Silent Majority because if you go back to ch 372 Benjamin’s guard said there’s a hidden nen user in the room who pretend to learn nen from Kurapika. The guard believes that this hidden nen user is a master and the actual assassin.

Maybe Melody determined coin wasn't dangerous by the rhythm of the 3rd prince's heartbeat
The price still doesn't know what the coins do. He knows he can produce one a day but nothing more on its ability. So from his point of view the coins are not dangerous. He probably gave one to melody becouse she is not a subordinate of his and wanted to test if anything would happen in the future or if someone who is not loyal to him got a coin
Kacho knows that she died, but doesn't know that she's a nen beast

This is why I don’t read HxH no more, I just follow TH-cam reviews. I find it so hard to follow what’s happening because of the hiatuses and long dialogue heavy chapters introducing many new characters. Thanks for explaining each chapter
"Parody of Togashi's writing style with insane book-length dialogue" Yeah, it's weird to have "book-length dialogue" (whatever that means) in a book. How dare Togashi do such a thing smh.
Togashi needs to stop adding all these sub plots. There are way too many different things occuring at once and with his hiatuses you practically need to reread the past 10-20 chapters to remember what happened last with a character
Well if thats what it takes, then thats what it takes. The progression and intertwining of all these subplots in HXH is what separates it from mediocrity.
Chaoter 400 was a bust. I hated it. Nothing happened and kurapika was teased bad only shown in one little box at the end. Everything was a let down! No fighting, no progression, just talking and muttering. 🤦♂️🤷♂️ And now another hiatus. Nice Togashi. Real nice.
This is not a series focused on action and fighting, and even less since the late Chimera Ants arc (so like the last 10 volumes/100 chapters). If you wanted fights, I'm sorry.

Who is the prince they targeting? do they thought that Fugetsu is possessed by one of the prince? That is why they want to find the perpetrator and negotiate or poison him.

Why would someone want to poison princes? The point of the succession war is to be the last prince standing..
Its the succession war, they want to kill other prince so that fugetesu become last person standing and become a king. Fugetsu can't escape the ship, so its either die by getting killed or join the succession war
