It would be fine if you always have someone to cover your back when problems arise where you work but most companies do not have proper procedures to fix any type of problems in a company, and therefore, you need to develop skills and tactics that you can use to always go nuclear in response when people in the company go against you in any way. It's not responsible of you when you are employed to never consider the nuclear option because the opposing individuals that are going against you have already planned your exit before you have even prepared anything from the start. So, you will always be lagging initially whenever any type of work flow is initiated.
