Fully clockwise is Selection Mode. I believe there are 5 different modes to scroll through. The light will flash 1-5 consecutive times, indicating the mode. Return screw to counter clockwise to select mode. I think mode 3 is OBD diagnostic mode. Not all 5 modes will display Trouble Codes from what I remember.
True, he must have been lucky and turned it back after 3 flashes. The 4 flashes (mode 4) is just to clear the memory and reset the same diagnostic codes that mode 3 reports. The extra irony is that code 55 is the All OK code.
This is a great video if you want to know how not to do this. Or how did not do it. I scroll down a little further there was a good video actually explaining how to do this. This is great instructions on taking the seat out. An absolutely incorrect instructions on how to pull the codes
On my computer, while I start the truck, both LEDs (red and green) go out and the truck is not starting either. Then with the key on the two LEDs turn on again and I can even get the codes, but if I turn the ignition on again, the two LEDs turn off again. Does this mean that the computer is failing? Or will it be normal for the LEDs to turn off while it is sitting? Greetings.
I think hes an idiot I let my seat forward as well and there is actually an access on the black cover that allows you to just lean over stick a screwdriver in and turn

Hello! Is there an adapter to convert this type of ECU to OBD2?
Obd2 systems won’t be compatible as the ecu will expect a lot more inputs than there are sensors from the car of this generation.
How do you get to the next code like the first code was 55…but how do you get it to do the second code etc
55 means clear
Error code 55 means: Leave the ECU where it is! Sit on the driver's seat to see the lights and use a SHORT screwdriver.
Error code 55 must mean vacuum out all dog hair 🐩
No joke! :D
So what’s the issue?
Nothing on this care as 55 indicates All OK. Or more to the point, if there is an issue, it's not one the ECU can detect or has detected.
Thank you! Very helpful video!
Thanks Vincent
my 95 pathfinder is mounted with the LEDs facing out the back. No need to remove seat. I think the factory just put yours in wrong.
