    Thank you, Olga! And, though the news has not been telling us much about Ukraine, I'm still praying for the people and for the country. Too much loss to comprehend! God knows what Ukraine needs. I pray that He brings it soon! I hope it is peaceful and free! ❤️

    Brilliant tip; thank you very much. What is your favourite method of getting straight edges when you’re working half double and double crochet fabrics please?

    • @OlgaPoltava
      @OlgaPoltava  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That really depends on the pattern and on the yarn. In some patterns I use a beginning dc instead of 3 chains and that helps to achieve a straighter edge. Other times I would use 3 chains at the beginning of the row, but then at the end of the row I would make the last dc not into the 3rd (top) chain, but into the 2nd chain of turning 3 chains (actually in my new tutorial coming this week, I am using this method). When working with very thin yarns (such as mohair), I make dc2-tog instead of the last dc, which makes a better, straighter and sturdier edge.

    Fantastic! I’ve learnt crochet on my own so never managed to learn basics i guess
    PS: do you also have a similar tutorial for double crochet and half double crochet?

      Unfortunately no, this technique only works of single crochet. But I did share some tips on how I make my double crochet edges straighter. But I can't remember in which specific video I included those tips 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Thank you. Do you do the same for double crochet?

      No, unfortunately this trick won't work with dc.
