Aquaman can be such a great character if executed right, he is supposed to be wise, mature, knowledgeable, and a very well trained and capable fighter, a king that inspires his people to do what it is right and to always strife to be better!
If they promoted the King Arthur undersea angle better it would work for Aquaman 2 (Arthur Curry) and then throw back to his All-Star Squadron predecessor Adam Waterman in the golden age...it would be really cool to show that like Hal, Barry, Ray, J'onn and Dinah Laurel...he had a predecessor in the golden age too, meanwhile Wonder Woman and the Hawks are old enough to still be young and live through the golden and silver age all while Green Arrow and Arsenal got time tossed from silver to gold back to silver. Too bad they haven't reinstated the time tossing thing from the 1940's to present for the Shazamily yet and they really should.
Aquaman is a great character as Geoff Johns devised, badass reluctant king with a powerful wife at his side who is his equal. Unlike other heroes he does have to look at his back as his significant other is no damsel in distress. He is a great fighter, has the connection to the life force one of the elemental forces of the universe, Arthur is many things, a hero, a king, a husband and a father.

Also: Mera got a cool voice casting joke on Brave and the Bold. Sirena Irwin. Now when's it Jodi's turn?
My favorite thing about aquaman is how he show that there a difference between what you want to do and what you have to do. Unlike supes or bats he doesn't want to do what he does but he does it cause it his responsibility. That the reason his father is a lighthouse keeper. His father wanted to sail but someone has to guide ships home. It an important lesson that when learned truly shows the difference between a boy and a man
Dc fails at showcasing Aquaman true power. He's telepathy is really powerful and unique in the comics, it comes from the "Life Force" one of the DC forces (he literally was capable of summoning gods), but DC showcases that ability so poorly on media that the public thinks all he can do is "talk to fish".
I've seen some people say that MCU Thor should have taken the BaTB Aquaman route after Endgame instead of what we got in Love and Thunder. What are your thoughts?
The Aquaman being lame joke has always been stupid. He’s so much cooler than people give him credit for. If DC started hiring good writers to do new lines, they could do Aquaman the justice he deserves. But what’s frustrating is that they’re not gonna do it, because they don’t care.
Right now they'd have to do something with Aquaman first. I mean, they're doing more with his sidekicks right now. (Tempest had a major role in the last event, and this year's Pride special features Jackson Hyde visiting New Genesis.)

I think all looks can fit with the character's progression in universe. I will say, absolutely NO chin strap. It's either sideburns/mutton chops, beard, circle beard or clean shaven.
I definitely agree with your take here and I wanted add that some aquaman adaptations I’ve seen really turn aquaman into a more jaded Namor type character where he cares nothing for the surface even though he’s part human and was raised there like that’s always been my biggest gripe with the injustice aquaman
You doing the lords work out here, I really hope in this new era of DC James Gunn helps put more emphasis on the other JL members like WW, Aquaman, Green Lantern, as long it’s not just Batman that would make me happy. I’m tired of the disrespect, if no one else says it, I will. Aquaman is definitely one of my favorite superheroes of all time. Straight up.
@chiranjeevsaikia560 all because the rights of the Aquaman characters were tied to a failed CW pilot. It's strange how Warner Bros. have the rights to all DC characters, but because of weird networking, embargos, and disinterested producers, some characters barely showed up in shows or movies.
@@SecretMagician I know. But that was in JLU. He was still completely available in JL TAS. For starters they could've easily had him extend support to the other league members during the thanagar invasion. And we could've seen the armies of Atlantis aid the surface against the thanagar army. And yeah while the founding members were total 7, they could've definitely made it a roster of 8 members eventually, similar to what Avengers EMH did years later. That way Aquaman would've been more closely tied to the show. And maybe they would've relaxed on the embargo similar to how they did for Batman regarding the Bat Embargo.
That's because people are missing the big picture when it comes to Aquaman He can live under water, he can swim at any depths any temperatures and as far as him " talking to fish" or commanding fish! 7:52 the reason why the DCAMU (both the Warverse or the Tomorrowverse) both ended so soon was because Warner Bros forced the animation team to limit their movies. With the Warverse limited to 16 movies and the Tomorrowverse 10. Half the time, I wish that whole company went bankrupt.
@@superherochestsymbol1032 at least the Tomorrowverse actually gave some respect to other characters though...and how nice that we can include Vixen as a founding league member...especially after JLU pretty much had her become the equivalent of Wonder Woman as an African American without doing the whole sibling rivalry schtick that pops up with Nubia, Thomas Jr., Morgan Edge, Cobalt and several others, but most frequently Ocean Master.
Aquaman truly has alot of potential. A horror like Aquaman movie would do best in live action, going wild by bringing big threats to the world with gigantic world ending tsunamis, kaijus, Godzilla like beings and etc, I think the best way to approach an Aquaman movie first would be getting Gore Verbinski who directed the pirate of the carribean movies like the curse of the black pearl, dead's man chest and at world's end and also a horror movie called the ring. That is how you truly make an epic, scary and badass Aquaman movie
I saw that you also make videos about Marvel along with DC so I wanted to ask, @MEnterprises, if you could you please make a video about how Ant-Man and the Wasp, specifically Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, haven't been getting much respect from Marvel ever since the infamous Yellowjacket slap? The last time they were in anything prominent was Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes where they were shown as founding members of the Avengers, Janet even names the team for crying out loud! The Yellowjacket slap was apparently so bad, Marvel denied the writers of the Secret Invasion storyline to retcon it by saying that Hank was replaced as a Skrull at the time because it was the most prominent thing Hank had ever done in the comics... what?! Multiple members of the Avengers who are relatively popular now have done far worse in the comics (Tony establishing a police state and locking away prisoners in an alternate dimension, Captain Marvel wanted to arrest people just on the suspicion that they may be evil because of a mutant who can predict the future, etc), but I guess a miscommunication between the writers and artists is enough to blacklist Hank Pym from being a prominent character.
Aquaman is hand downs one of my favorite comic book character ive been a fan since i was six. Hearing hes a lame character and his power ain't cool, hes got super strength, durability, almost omega telepath, and control 70 percent of the world thats pretty impressive. Plus he's got some great storylines From Death of a prince, Time and tide, The drowning, and the trench. The character has always spoken to me probably my love for the ocean and how compassion he is towards the land and sea being from two worlds. Him and Swamp Thing are easily the best characters in DC imo. Great video and im hoping my boy gets more love as time goes on. 🔱🌊
Just yesterday I talked with an Aquaman roleplayer online whose favorite hero is Aquaman. My dad's favorite is Aquaman. Thus the answer is I last talked to an Aquaman stan last night when I told Dad good night.
Fun fact, Aquaman is stronger than base Hulk! The king of the seas can lift at least 150 tons, base Hulk can lift 100 tons, until he gets angrier of course.
You gotta due my man Martian Manhunter next. He’s in my top 5 for superheroes and he gets absolutely no respect nowadays. They booted him out for Cyborg in New 52 which was incredibly disrespectful to him, he’s the heart of the League and deserves some love.
Video is ok. Really wish this video went more into the business side of DC, and how their writers and producers either write Aquaman badly, degrade him, or silence his perspective altogether. I know you touched on it a little, but that's where he real meat of the story is.
I’m super worried how Gunn will handle him. It’s his thing to make light of or degrade the characters he makes and I don’t see him not taking cheap shots all day at Aquaman.
It's no replacement for good writing combined with proper marketing and exposure. But the beard really helps make him look masculine. Until his reputation is repaired, ditch the clean shaven mild-mannered accountant look and keep the mane-goatee combo he ran in the 90s and in the films Maybe the orange armor too. Besides being fan service, seeing bullets bounce off bare skin certainly helps
Man ever since I started reading Aquaman comics it really did make me realize how awesome that man actually is. Honestly I’d say the movies are doing him in good favor tho I liked both Aquaman movies overall
If anyone watched Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, Aquaman is literally in that for like 2 minutes tops and they respect him quite well. Batman warns him the villains he's fighting are stronger than him and he just wipes his face and smiles before saying, "that remains to be seen." And pulling out a brutal combo on one of them. That movie also has one of the best versions of Wonder Woman put to screen.
I don’t fuck with the king of the sea. Dude can control a whale, shark, squid or any of the other millions of terrifying animals to woop someone’s ass. Plus he’s super strong, durable and in some iterations controls water. Don’t fuck with him. It’s outrageous to do so.

Aquaman is one of the most fascinating characters in DC. He is so different than the rest, he is not just a superhero, he is a bridge between two worlds. He is a king although a reluctant one, a badass warrior who doesn't hesitate to kill if required, he has by his side a beautiful and powerful Queen in Mera whom he treats as an equal with no hidden identities. A father to Andy who is destined to be a powerhouse in her own right. His problem at DC is that with Geoff Johns gone there is nobody who can write him, those who tried all want to leave their mark and instead inflict more harm. When all they had to do was follow Johns direction for the character, Jeff Parker did and it worked, the others failed because they could not resist using the rehashed plots and ideas.
Aquaman is my favorite DC superhero ever. He’s so knowledgeable, kind, respectable, and you better believe POWERFUL! He has done feats that people don’t realize. He can go one on one holding his own against Lobo and Martian Manhunter, can control any being of aquatic origin which includes humans and even give Kryptonians major headaches, he legit sent the Shaggy Man to outer space to save a whole city, he saved his wife and reclaimed the throne with a whole army, he stopped Atlanta’s deadly strike that would’ve ANNIHILATED all of Atlantis with his BARE HANDS, He’s aided the Justice League greatly since he’s a founding member, He’s beaten Despero, Gorilla Grodd, Superboy, Atlan, Wonder Woman, and even a slightly weakened Superman which is no small feat. He could even kill Superman with his MAGIC trident which can control the waves. I’m glad there others who actually respect him because he deserves recognition for his badassery! I’ve read the comics where he’s done justice and appreciate them greatly. Aquaman is a true hero. He is a KING.👑 👱🏻♂️🧡💚🔱🌊
You forgot one of his greatest feats He severely wounded Darkseid which few to none ever achieved. Aquaman's uniqueness is that unlike other heroes he so many things. For a start, he will not hesitate to kill if it is necessary. He has on his shoulders the burden of a kingdom, the rest have just few to none of such burden. Aquaman does not have to look back at his shoulder, as his queen is no damsel in distress, Mera is as powerful as he is. Together they form one of the most powerful badass couples in DC. His mission is to be a bridge between two worlds, besides being a king, a husband, a father, a warrior, a hero all at the same time.
when you marry someone like Mera you are always a winner. You have a powerful beautiful redhead that digs for you, Wake up in the morning and she's there sleeping next to you, don't even need stupid hidden identities with her and can be yourself. she is not the typical wife whom your enemies will target as they would regret it. What else do you need in life? Not to mention that you are good looking yourself having a wide range of superpowers, you have done your fair share of heroic deeds, a trident that can kill anyone, a cute little daughter who adores you, rule an advanced civilization, an army at your disposal....... to hell if people say "you talk to fish" Clark kent is a journalist he works for others, Bruce might be rich but pretty creepy unhappy person and Diana a lonely woman. While Aquaman is a king, happily married and a father. Who is the winner?
@@tytheaniman497 yeah🤣 but lets keep to the current continuity... If I was Aquaman let them talk - let them sneer while I get being served the best food and drinks in Atlantis whenever I feel like, I am served all I require, I am much richer than Bruce and don't need therapy to deal with my traumas. While clark has to worry every day that lois does not end in the hands of some villain. The last time Manta attacked my wife he nearly ended up being fried alive. barry my wife ages at a much slower rate😂The ice is melting at the poles? your problem not mine, it increases my kingdom and decreases your living space. Hey Diana still seeking a mate, or you're queer now? maybe you can ask your father to make you a child out of clay? Wait Andy come to dada. Hal when was it you last saw carol, has she married the other guy and remember to charge the ring.
I also think Momoa being Aquaman makes people think “Oh yeah aqua man’s lame but Momoa is cool so he’s cool in the movies. So it gives dumbasses another reason to say Aquaman looks like a word that rhymes with bag in the comics and cartoons. Even tho being blonde tall and buff, he looks EXACTLY the same as Captain America. A character who catches NO HEAT! I enjoyed Momoas Aquaman but I agree that he should be and should have been Lobo. Whenever I saw him next to a BLONDE Patrick Wilson in the movies, especially when he had long hair and a beard like in the JL cartoon. I was wondering what their thought process was behind making Aquamans evil brother look more like said character than he did.
When I was a kid, Aquaman had the hook and a Viking appearance. I always thought he was cool. My favorite interpretation of Aquaman, however, was Jim Krueger and Alex Ross' Justice. If you haven't read it, I definitely recommend it.
Thank God Brave and the Bold Aquaman exists, he is both awesome and goofy but never lame, show creators really struck gold with that one in the midst of modern Aquaman being written so hard into being taken seriously it backfires on itself John Dimaggio's welcomes the camp of the golden age but makes him powerful and useful.
Without a doubt, Super Friends, Family Guy and Robot Chicken are the biggest factors in why he is made a laughing stock. But there was one single solitary commercial Cartoon Network aired way back in the 90s where they even poked a small subtle jab at him. The commercial went The Legion of Doom captured Arthur and Diana and was lowering them over a vat of acid. They showed him using his fish telekinesis which didnt work and he said to Diana "It seems my abilities to talk to fish doesnt work Wonder Woman" The camera cuts to Diana and she didnt say anything but it did show her rolling her eyes in disgust and disappointment.
They were promoting the Power Puff Girls at the time in that one, but to be fair they also did a short that showcased why he season 1 of Super Friends power set should have been kept and coined the Aquatelepathy phrase he uses now instead of it taking a dive in All-New. I mean super strength, super speed, he can use his hydrokinesis like Katara and that Aquatelepathy works on Cthulu if he feels like it...don't make fun of Aquaman (Arthur) or his predecessor Aquaman (Adam) who was not only a Seaman in the Navy, but throws polar bears at enemies...said enemies better hope that wasn't a Mama Bear (which knowing how Adam Waterman had 90's Aquaman's attitude in the 40's it most likely was.)
It needs to be said recently DC cares more about Aqualad (Kaldur'ahm) and trying to make him the New Aquaman, then anyone in the Aquafamily including Arthur Curry. Be thankful he ain't Garth (Tempest???) cause before his replacement stepped on to the scene DC showed no love for him compared to the other hero's in his generation. Mans was last to get his own identity and it wasn't even done by Marv Wolfman who has done it for all his Super-friends.
There was a reason why Speedy and Aqualad were only recurring guests in the Wolfman-Perez run. Wolfman was of the same mind as everyone else who watched Super Friends at the time...he felt that Garth Bernstein was even more useless than Arthur Curry and found Roy Harper redundant at first...but later he found a way via Roy's "wrong kind of heroine" problem to use him by having him work as an advocate for getting help and working with the CIA. Garth had also kinda always been the one who is doomed since day one...he's Theodore Cleaver better known as "The Beaver" undersea...and that's the one thing that's consistent about him...he's a worrywhale with high anxiety (highly relatable in my case), but he means whale, even if sometimes he's a little out of his depth...but you'd need to find another tidal zone to find a better magic user than him...because purple eyed atlanteans are the best non-Dr. Fate level magic users...he's also got one hand of heat and another of ice...perfect for storms.... and that's why Tempest is Superman of the Titans!
On the other hand of course.... I actually think promoting legacy characters as the new group works, but do it in a way that makes sense. Golden Age JSA Silver JLA Bronze Titans Dark-Pre-FP YJ New Titans- Current.
In the comics, he's Jackson Hyde, not Kaldur'ahm; his father is Black Manta. Eh, Garth's showing up a lot in Titans now. He was actually a key player in the last event, albeit as a villain.

He is a great fighter, has the connection to the life force one of the elemental forces of the universe, Arthur is many things, a hero, a king, a husband and a father.
@@chrisgrech7992 Johns took a lot of that from what was back in the Bob Haney/Nick Cardy/Paul Norris/Mort Weissinger days and suped it up for the Nu52, because the Peter David reinvention in the late 1980's and early 1990's as nice as it was...he overdid it like what happened with Wolfman and Perez overdid it when rebooting Donna Troy to exist without Diana because Titans continued on after the Crisis and Wonder Woman did not getting the "Blank Slate who shows up after Jason Todd's already Robin" treatment which made no logical sense due to how the Titans are intrinscially linked to Wonder Woman via Donna being the one to name the team and them just gathering together on their own to stop a mega-powered Mr. Twister (and rule number 1 in comics, if your name sounds like you work for Carmen Sandiego, go find V.I.L.E.'s location if you like being a joke villain...because you probably do.) calling himself Anti-Thesis. Mera never was a DID. It was only because of the Filmation Cartoons goofing her up as Aqua-Lois that people forgot she's known as Aquawoman for a reason (even if she doesn't always use the codename), even when JL and Batman: TBATB (also based on the silver and bronze age Adventure comics) showed her actually being Aquawoman...and she got a better deal on Batman: TBATB since every other week was an Aquaman team-up...and even though episodes were airred Fridays at the time, we actually found out what day Aquaman team-ups are...and that so long as she and AJ get to play too, Mera's cool with it...and AJ actually got to make it out of training pants for more than one issue here!
It an important lesson that when learned truly shows the difference between a boy and a man
The only few adaptations of Aquaman that actually seem to respect him is his Justice League and Batman: The Brave and the Bold incarnations.
New 52 Aquaman run was great from what I remember in terms of comics
I don’t even like aquaman but even he dosen’t deserve this disrespect
Dc fails at showcasing Aquaman true power. He's telepathy is really powerful and unique in the comics, it comes from the "Life Force" one of the DC forces (he literally was capable of summoning gods), but DC showcases that ability so poorly on media that the public thinks all he can do is "talk to fish".
He can also control fate and the past with it too and warp space time
So basically wish version of Flash timeline manipulation @@Corazon444-
I totally agree!
When did Aquaman's telepathy ( not marine telepathy, general telepathy) get established? If used properly it's OP.
Never would Batman casually weave Aquaman blows and disarm him nonsense 😂😂😂😭
The Brave and The Bold Aquaman is the best. He's campy and over the top but in an endeering way, and he can hold his own in a fight.

I'm an Aquaman fan. Like seriously. DCAU Aquaman is my favorite interpretation.
I loved the jason mamoa movie version and the DCAMU version too
Black manta and Aquaman are some of my most favourite rivalries it's all about the cycle of hatred for those 2
The Aquaman being lame joke has always been stupid. He’s so much cooler than people give him credit for.
If DC started hiring good writers to do new lines, they could do Aquaman the justice he deserves. But what’s frustrating is that they’re not gonna do it, because they don’t care.
That's the sad reality we live in
Right now they'd have to do something with Aquaman first. I mean, they're doing more with his sidekicks right now. (Tempest had a major role in the last event, and this year's Pride special features Jackson Hyde visiting New Genesis.)
@@jonbrewer297 they can do something.
The Golden Age has been getting a fair amount of love...so let's do something with the All-Star Sqaudron's Adam Waterman.
Make a movie or new one shot about why he fights *bear-handed*
It's like Scrappy Doo. His public image is totally damage via memes and, while the movie did make him look cool, people and WB will keep mocking him because "that's what everyone does"
@@FGenthusiast0052 Yeah, but people hated Scrappy in the 80s, so before the internet.
Can we talk about that one family guy joke that made Aquaman look like the cool guy compared to Namor? Seems like at some point they started giving him more respect
that brief scene in the beginning of new 52 did more to make me like him than several decades in popular media
I entirely blame the super friends show. It sucks that people don't actually read aqua man comics. He's so awesome in the comics.
The problem with that is every other leaguer had other media to compensate. Aquaman didnt have any at the time outside of his original cartoon
I actually really like Aquaman. He's cool.
Everyone making fun of Aquaman is annoying and overdone, the joke that talking to fish is his only power is so lame
I dont't even get how that's a bad ability. Ordering a giant squid around sounds awesome.

Aquaman: the joke of me being useless has gotten out of control!
France: first time?
Ok but the real question is do we like Arthur Curry clean shaven, bearded, or with absurdly huge sideburns.
I like all the looks but clean shaven looks the best to me.
I prefer aquaman with long hair and a beard. I maybe biased because I find guys with facial hair attractive.
All of the above, but I like him with the long hair and facial hair a lot more.
Short hair and clean shaven is more practical for swimming.
Justice league animated series changed Aquaman to a baddass so since then he got his due respect
True. But even then he was heavily under utilised. Considering he is a founding member in the comics.
@@chiranjeevsaikia560 company embargos are weird.
@@SecretMagician I heard that Wonder Woman had the same issue. Is that true?
That's because people are missing the big picture when it comes to Aquaman
He can live under water, he can swim at any depths any temperatures and as far as him " talking to fish" or commanding fish!
He can control some Earth's mightiest Apex predators like the the killer whale, the great white shark giant squid and The Megalodon!
BTW I thought that Aquaman in the super friends was pretty cool
aquaman has been my favorite superhero since childhood when my dad gave me his vhs of the aquaman cartoon
So fucking real, I wish they do him justice
Aquaman is my favorite... since watching the cartoons from the 60's 70's 80's and now still my fav. He's my Screensaver , homescreen on all my devices
One of the coolest and most powerful characters in the verse. Definitely disrespected
aquaman sadly was mocked in the past for years, while hawkman green lantern and martian manhunter were not even remembered to get mocked and get jokes made of them, jokes aside i love all this characters, sadly aquaman was mocked for very stupid reasons, aquaman its a strong leader of atlantis wise and genius, its useful in water and outside water and a super useful and respected member of justice league, respect aquaman
I’m a little surprised you didn’t touch up on Smallville’s version of Aquaman. Then again, much like Clark, he technically wasn’t Aquaman yet.
Aquaman is my favorite tbh
His lore goes deeper than most
True, so much stuff to work with. But underutilized by DC
In the 90s they had a whole run that didnt feature aquaman, showing Atlantis and its history from when it was founded till when aquaman was born. It was realy good
Batman the brave and the bold made Aquaman one of my favorite dc characters, but I’m still mad with that birds of prey song when they were making fun of other heroes and said Aquaman had a “little fish” when singing how much of a chad Batman is by comparison, like wtf lol
I agree WB makes the dumbest decisions and somehow they rarely if ever learn.
The dcamu was basically animated new 52, and the amount of characters they disrespect that isn’t Batman is just wow.
Dude 100%!!! Even I talk sh*t about Aquaman! And it’s not even because of how he’s written. It’s mainly because I feel he could be so much cooler!
Remember that video of that kid getting excited about getting an Aquaman action figure. So wholesome!
That's actually pretty cool
Fun fact, Aquaman is stronger than base Hulk! The king of the seas can lift at least 150 tons, base Hulk can lift 100 tons, until he gets angrier of course.
You gotta due my man Martian Manhunter next. He’s in my top 5 for superheroes and he gets absolutely no respect nowadays. They booted him out for Cyborg in New 52 which was incredibly disrespectful to him, he’s the heart of the League and deserves some love.

Aquaman is my 9th grade english teacher's favorite DC character

Video is ok. Really wish this video went more into the business side of DC, and how their writers and producers either write Aquaman badly, degrade him, or silence his perspective altogether. I know you touched on it a little, but that's where he real meat of the story is.
Aquaman is my 2nd fave in DC after Hawkgirl. The New52 Aquaman run is so good
I’m super worried how Gunn will handle him.
It’s his thing to make light of or degrade the characters he makes and I don’t see him not taking cheap shots all day at Aquaman.
Big bang theory as well.
Ah. The show written by dumb people to make fun of smart people appealing to dumb people. Surely they had a faithful knowledge about the comics
It's no replacement for good writing combined with proper marketing and exposure. But the beard really helps make him look masculine. Until his reputation is repaired, ditch the clean shaven mild-mannered accountant look and keep the mane-goatee combo he ran in the 90s and in the films
Maybe the orange armor too. Besides being fan service, seeing bullets bounce off bare skin certainly helps
Geoff Johns is the last man who did him well.
Man ever since I started reading Aquaman comics it really did make me realize how awesome that man actually is. Honestly I’d say the movies are doing him in good favor tho I liked both Aquaman movies overall
I've always loved Aquaman. Thank you Brave And The Bold.
I wanna see the hook hand version of Aquaman in the dcu
6:22 he did say he wanted play Lobo before getting the part for aquaman
I don’t fuck with the king of the sea. Dude can control a whale, shark, squid or any of the other millions of terrifying animals to woop someone’s ass. Plus he’s super strong, durable and in some iterations controls water. Don’t fuck with him. It’s outrageous to do so.
That Injustice 2 super for aquaman literally made everyone realize Aquaman like that fr
Honestly I need a similar video like this with Tim Drake. DC has really been mishandling him for a decade.
HOW CAN THIS MAN PUT SO MANY MEMES IN HIS VIDEOS WITHOUT REPETITION AT ALL
Probably for the best he didn’t appear in Suicide Squad
New 52 & Rebirth kinda saved him from being boring but he's had a shit reputation for the longest time. Longer than anyone I think.
Best version of aquaman to me has been brave and the bold he had charisma inspiring stoic and funny. in fact many people hoping that version becomes a skin for him in multiverus
I need that version of him as a skin in multiversus. Aquaman got leaked to be a character coming to Multiversus.

I love aquaman because of brave and the bold he peaked there for me.
Well said Aquaman is so many things and yet different from the rest for the reasons you mention.

Young Justice did a good job of making Aquaman (and Atlanteans in general) seem powerful.
As someone who grew with Batman the brave and the bold interpretation of Aquaman. I always thought Aquaman was cool but can still be goofy.
When I was a kid, Aquaman had the hook and a Viking appearance. I always thought he was cool. My favorite interpretation of Aquaman, however, was Jim Krueger and Alex Ross' Justice. If you haven't read it, I definitely recommend it.
Aquaman will sadly always be mid af
Thank God Brave and the Bold Aquaman exists, he is both awesome and goofy but never lame, show creators really struck gold with that one in the midst of modern Aquaman being written so hard into being taken seriously it backfires on itself John Dimaggio's welcomes the camp of the golden age but makes him powerful and useful.
I actually liked both Aquaman movies, those were more entertaining and interesting then the recent DC films , except Blue Beetle that one was good
Ngl the first thing I thought of while watching this video was ‘bro, everyone hates and disrespects Aquaman’ lol
That was so funny like everyone is flabbergasted when he sit down and ordered fish and chips 😂😂😂
"What? Fish eat fish all the time."
As much as i liked the Aquaman movie, i actually think Jason Mamoa was miscast. Patrick Wilson, the guy who played Orm, would've done amazing in role.
Agreed he was blonde like Arthur as well bro looked like the spitting imagine of him.
@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 I know right! Plus he could've done very well with a more serious Aquaman.v
The Brave and The Bold Aquaman is my favorite version. Fun loving, boisterous, courageous, loyal, family man. He was outrageous!
Golden Age JSA
Silver JLA
Bronze Titans
Dark-Pre-FP YJ
New Titans- Current.
In the comics, he's Jackson Hyde, not Kaldur'ahm; his father is Black Manta.
Eh, Garth's showing up a lot in Titans now. He was actually a key player in the last event, albeit as a villain.
I dont likw how they took his crown and kingship
After I saw the title I said "not as much as me"
