Really need to add an explanation on how to keep the valve from dropping in to cylinder when spring and keepers are removed. Otherwise it’s a good video.

Yeah lmao, I imagine someone watching this, not thinking about what happens when you take the valve seal off, and then *poof* the valve is now gone!

I've read some people put nylon rope the spark plug hole then rotate the engine until you feel resistance. There have been accounts of rope ending up between the valve and the head. Another way is to pressurize the cylinder with like 45psi to hold the valves up against the seats.

@KurtisSaiyo that's the method i use, with the rope. It's very efficient and works every single time.

I've got a question. How much pressure will this compressor hold. Will it do double and triple springs. I do them off head but I've got just one on the exhaust side I need to do triple spring and I'm just wondering if it will hold that pressure. Thought I'd weld a socket to the top because you'll never do it by hand on a 2200 pound triple spring. The manufactured doesn't give the information. I know it will do double springs

Man I swear!!!! I’ve had probably 5 of these exact spring compressor tools… I’ve absolutely never had luck with them working for me no matter how I use them…. Unless….. I use zip ties to keep it tight in place as I tighten it down

If you clamp it onto the spring properly, it works fast and easy. The trick is clamping it well

This tool is good but not work in all head

This tool only works on big srpings and in heads with a lot of space. The tool needs massive amounts of space around the spring
