@@trackercatfishing5851 keep those videos coming! I subbed a while back. I’m hoping to have pretty much the same setup as you’ve got as far as boat and all.

@@trackercatfishing5851 The level wind and the spool bearings. Main gear will get chewed up too if you're really putting heat on the fish. I have 4 of them 2 are toast. I'm interested in seeing if you have better luck than I did with them. They may have upgraded them. I bought mine 4 years ago. Like your boat. I fish a deep v tracker.
@@trackercatfishing5851 I hope they work out for you too! I switched to Penn Squall 20's for boat fishing. That reel will take a beating. I fish it in saltwater and freshwater. They are easy to work on too. Parts are cheap and available.
Got my buddy a xmh 8ft 6 spinning rod with a 7000 penn long cast. Was comparing it to my big cat fever casting rods the eyes are thinner and the rod is super stiff like no bend hardly in the tip. My mh and heavy bcf def seem softer tip and the material it feels like it can bend and bend without breaking but the slime cat is so stiff it feels like it.may snap which it prob won't. It's alot lighter than mine though and if it is durable it's a awesome rod. The eyes may be thinner since it's a spinning reel model vs my casting models with smaller thicker eyes
Yeah the eyes are made way thinner on the casting rods. That’s any brand though. Just helps with the performance since the reels are way different between casting/spinning. I have the 7’ 6” XMH and in my opinion it doesn’t feel stiff at all. I used TWC for a long time and like you see in the video they’re way more stiff than the slimecat rods. You should go watch the slimecat videos, he absolutely tortures his rods showing how strong they are and how far they can bend without breaking.
@@trackercatfishing5851 the spinning rod is wider and thinner than my bcf is what I meant. The 2 piece might be diff on them stiffness wise. This is my first experience with it. It's lighter and stiffer than mine. Can cast wayyyyy farther than mine though. Hoping he likes it for sure. The green is neat. Mine can.be mistaken for a ugly stik lol
@@trackercatfishing5851 he is like a father to me. Been wanting for like 8 months wife keeps telling him he don't need new rods. Has old cat daddy poles that are garbage
After using TWC for years and these SlimeCats since the beginning of this year. Id say the backbone is about the same in both. The real big difference I see is the speed of the tip. The SlimeCat has a way faster (lighter) tip than the TWC. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
Just ordered a few myself! Glad I found your channel! Thanks for sharing
Absolutely! You’re gonna love em.
Those are nice looking. Can't wait to see them in action.
Watch out it has a plastic gear and issue with rods and reels he doesn’t stand by his product
Nice rods! Those green rods will be easier to see at night!

i have the XMH SLIME CATS and i have had a small bull head on for bait and you can see it move thats how fast the tip is
Still waiting on that spinning reel from Slimecat.
Thought about getting 2 of those rods and putting either penn squalls or 6600 c4 can’t decide which
I use six Squalls, Penn all day best made best drag
The slimecat I got him is a foot longer than mine and 2 piece I'm sure he will love it
How are the reels holding up? I'm debating on getting one and some of the reviews have me worried.
Those reels are just ming yang cl60's. I didnt have much luck with those but the rods look pretty cool!
What issues did you have with them specifically? What should I watch for?

What lights you going to get for you’re boat?
Ended up getting the blue led strips from Walmart
Are the reels good for saltwater.
