Thanks for taking one for the team! I just bought this for $229 minus a $40 coupon on amazon. Now it is $189 same deal no coupon. Anyway the capacity it 8L according to the label on the case. Initially you stated 6L, but understand it was cold :-) I added some closed cell sound insulation (AggSound 157mm) on the metal case and at the base of the fuel pump, as it was banging on the metal bottom. I also covered the fuel line with a fire sleeve(fiberglass / silicone) as it was a wee bit too close to the exhaust for my liking. If you keep the UP button (Arrow) pressed for 3 seconds it changes to Fahrenheit.
Cold-camped with this heater this weekend myself. You definitely need to run a 4” tube! I plan to upgrade to the quieter muffler as well. The current one isn’t too bad especially if you’re running at mid-power or higher. At lower power it seems to drone more.
Greetings. Thank you for your review. Wondering if you were to recommend a diesel heater for a truck tent, what one would that be? What kind of power source would you suggest also? Much appreciated.
Of all of the ones I have tested, the one that goes with me in my trips is the LF Bros N2 Pro. It’s the best built, quietest, and has the best accessories.
What did you think of the hose that comes with the Sunster. I didn't get mine yet but I figure I may have to put an elbow at the heater to go up to my RV window and another elbow to go in the window. The distance is about 6 feet of hose. If this creates too much resistance I may have to go to a 4" hose.
Covering it makes sense to me. Would not be good to wake up in the morning with a foot of snow or a bunch of ice on top of the thing, or maybe a bunch of rainwater inside. However, I watched a video posted by someone who put a big storage bin over top of the heater. Not a good idea in my view since it might restrict airflow and cause the thing to overheat.
Where did you get the hose from? I grabbed one off amazon 3in. And the coil is wrapped tight. Restricting it down to about 21/2. Which caused an overheating issue. And it has a smell when it got hot. Unusable
Unfortunately another video without any information on using the control panel. Non existent on TH-cam or the web . Imagine the views when somebody finally does that.
The neighbor walking their dog is a nice touch.

I just dsid most of all that on the new Vevor heater. This one one wasn't too bad in comparison.

60 in the house You don't need heat
@@ToeJam31stPN We need heat in the house because we live in Colorado and it is winter time. It's currently 34° outside. I would say we need heat.
This unit is a 6 LITER CAPACITY. THEY LIED. I have 2 of them and I can tell you it CANNOT be take 8 liters or 2 gallons.

It's interesting that some guys have gotten these with very quiet pumps and others with noisy pumps.
"quiet" is subjective for sure and I'll admit it is "quieter than others" but it is not what I would call a "quiet pump"
Wondering if it's possible to upgrade the control unit to one with an app.
Possibly, it would depend on the electronics in it. I don't know how to answer that. Maybe try in one of the Chinese Diesel Heater groups on Facebook?

@@TrailTraveler Thanks
Is this a weatherproof unit, or should it be covered in rain and storms?
@@sunshineblueskyznc they don’t claim that it is so I would cover the control panel if possible

I just checked Amazon and the link leads to one of these for $189.
