I still can't believe that Mozart hated the flute, still he composed many pieces and concerti for it, each of them with immeasurable beauty. For me, that's the definition of professionalism.
sounds like same tempo as Flute and Harp concerto - MY VERY VERY VERRRRRRRY FAVORITE Mozart composition - I LOVE Mozart's horn and flute compositions, its like Roger Federer's backhand .... a WINNER every time .... XOXOXOXOX to all my fellow Mozart lovers reading this. we are all sooooo blessed to have Mozart make our spirits s o o o o a a a a a r .... Amen Hallelujah :)
for some reason, the first mvmt of this concerto sounds like the first mvmt of his clarinet concerto and the very beginning of the second mvmt is like his serenade gran partita
He actually wrote a letter to Leopold saying that the flute was "an instrument I cannot bear". Mozart is also famous for this statement: "the only thing worse than one flute in the orchestra is two flutes." He didn't meant the modern-day flute, but the flutes available in Mozart's days. they were horribly out of tune (even in a professional player's hands) he also disliked the harp because of it's intonation.
i heard a rumour that he didnt HATE the flute, but the girl he asked to play his flute pieces was a bad flute player, so he disliked HER flute playing XD poor girl...
One of my favorite Mozart flute concertos! Genius, unparalleled in the world!

Exquistely beautiful sound of the solo flute together with appropriate support by the orchestra. Marvelous!
Love Mozart’s music very much !!
0:00 Allegro maestoso
9:04 Adagio ma non troppo

Mozart made a whole concerto for me!
Nadie iguala a Mozart en composiciones para un solo insrumento. Flauta , clarinete, fagot, oboe, trompeta...etc...

Two solos during the Opera, and two solos during the overture, that's it. I was expecting more.
magnificent!
true it really only has two parts where it is featured.
Sin embargo la composición que me eleva el ánimo a los cielos, al espacio, al universo.. Es ésta!
1 dislike???? For me it's the best perform of this concert in whole youtube!!!
Excelente video amigo, me has ayudado mucho.
What kind of mp3 player? If it came with a USB cable then you can just copy over the file from your computer...I guess.
Mozart, genie cheri, je t'aime.
I think that too, yet, when I first watch it I thought the flute would have a little bit more of protagonism, after all it's in the title.

lol i auditioned on this last year, its not that bad after a bunch of practice. best luck
He sure did, but it was just because he was in love in the harpist. Because he, we could say hated both instruments.
So I think this is the pice that I will auddition for district band, and now I am screwed.
That happens also, when you can keep your work, your art, and your personal life apart.
Adagio non troppo: bij 10,15
Can anyone direct me to the flautist and cello combination playing Beethoven's beauties?
does anyone know who/where this was performed?
I lol'ed.
9:04 blue Danube waltz anyone?
That tittle didn't depend on him... Hi just put the music
Omg.......
where is this church (or cathedral) at 15:00''???
it's the Rathaus (city hall) in Vienna
I think his best work is "The Magic Flute"
