Jesus who is the one and only true God and Creator came to earth 2000+ years ago to go to the cross to pay our sin debt in full. His sacrifice was sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). A created being could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God. Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. And He did all that because He loves us and wants to save us and have a relationship with us. JESUS is the only way to Heaven, only He can save us from sin and from hell ( Luke 5:32, John 14, Romans 6:23). Jesus is waiting for you to come to Him, He won't cast you away from Himself if you come to Him. He calls us all to repentance, He loves us and wants to save us. believe and have faith in God then the Holy Spirit will come in and lead you to repent of your sins and God will forgive you of your sins and cleanse you by the blood of Jesus and you'll get born again by His Holy Spirit and have His salvation, you will become a new creation (John 3:3-19). 2:16 These few seconds are the most brilliant and suspenseful part of the entire movie. We all know that Sweeney is out to kill The Judge, and now his enemy sits before him in the chair, rather defenseless. Before this, Sweeney starts singing somewhat of a reprise to the song My Friends, and begins to sharpen the blade. Now, as we watch Sweeney raise his blade and arm, we await the slashing of The Judge's throat. However, this part never comes. Instead, Sweeney gently glides over the shaving cream, and continues to sing Pretty Women to The Judge. It's just so brilliant and so bone chilling that you realize that you had been holding your breath ever since you saw Sweeney raise the blade.

As much as I like his performance I think the movie misses the character a bit. The reason a lot of people like depp more is because he has a sort of suave to him that no other performer brought to the role. I kinda like the Broadway sweeneys better because (in my opinion) his character is supposed to be almost repulsive at least originally. Nothing against the movie but they changed things that I sorta have a love hate relationship with
Wade Wilson I absolutely agree, I've seen the broadway version of Sweeney Todd and... no thank you. Johnny Depp sang way better in the movie than everyone else who ever played Sweeney Todd combined.
This is such a gorgeous song. They did a great job performing this song. Alan's voice is such a gorgeous baritone and Johnny's is such a pure tenor. The melody and the harmonies are just luscious. You can tell they worked on this piece on their own a great deal. I wish Alan Rickman was still alive and these two could do more work together. I would have loved to see Alan Rickman and David Tennant do some work together.
This is the first time I've forced myself to watch Alan Rickman since his death. Alan Rickman had such an impact on my life and I am beside myself with sadness. Rest In Peace you beautiful man.

Did this scar appear along your throat? xD But honestly, I understand that, too. I first saw it at a young age. Not young enough to warrant a month’s nightmare patrol, but young enough to not grip the full story.
That is why this song and scene is a masterpiece in Sweeny Todd. Johnny Deep freaking awesome!!! And Alan Rickman totally amazing. And he may now rest in peace.
Sweeney Todd is, and will always be my favorite musical. Thank you to whoever created this masterpiece. You've given me songs to sing to, scenes to cry to, and music to listen to. God bless you.
I was shocked beyond words of expression when I heard Alan Rickman has left us. He was by my reckoning one of the greatest actors of our time and this track from Sweeny Todd is-in my opinion-some of his best work. Rest in Paradise Alan, your presence will be sorely missed though your talent will always be deeply loved. So say all of your fans....
People like to shit on this movie a lot in comparison to the Broadway version but Allan Rickman's voice is fucking magical. So every other Sweeney Todd thing out there gets a -1 point for not having Rickman in it.

The reason a lot of people like depp more is because he has a sort of suave to him that no other performer brought to the role.
I kinda like the Broadway sweeneys better because (in my opinion) his character is supposed to be almost repulsive at least originally.
Nothing against the movie but they changed things that I sorta have a love hate relationship with
nope, i think so too you're not alone
can someone gives me a link to broadway version here on yt?
Wade Wilson I absolutely agree, I've seen the broadway version of Sweeney Todd and... no thank you. Johnny Depp sang way better in the movie than everyone else who ever played Sweeney Todd combined.
Nope same
Alan Rickman had such a charming voice. It's sad we''ll never hear it again.
Miranda Robbins what impact???
Why am I watching this?
Can't stop crying.
RIP Alan Rickman!
Rip the Snape
He doesn't like to be Snape he is a sensitive guy 🧖🏼♀️😘
Grindelwald trying to kill Snape but Young Grindelwald prevented it. Bellatrix is downstairs baking pies. While Petigrew is out there collecting taxes.
What more can bus harry Potter fans want
I'd do anything Alan Rickman tells me to do, just because of that voice of his
And another comment that describes my life^^
You are the future! Lol, I know what you mean! I love him, he's great! He was in a movie adaption of sense and sensibility and he was so amazing!
Grace Batterson he was? You know if I can watch it somewhere? :)
+MyHeartisLostinMusic
I don't know but, it's super great! For once, he isn't playing the antagonist or the antihero! He's wonderful! I'll give you a link to some scenes though, if I can find them!
Grace Batterson
Well, thank you very much :) Huge disadvantage of the country I'm living in: Nobody knows Alan Rickman but everyone knows Snape... annying, though^^
Shaving will never be quite the same =*(
Rest in peace, Alan Rickman. I never had the pleasure of being in your company, but I must thank you for portraying a character such as Severus Snape by brilliantly capturing such an intricate, personally relatable character. Like the other great talents who we've lost this week, you were taken far too soon.
3:07 I like how Johnny Depp wipes off the razor foam in tune with how Alan Rickman is singing “glancing”, it’s absolute perfection - 11/10.
I suggest you make haste with my shave, someone could think you're...
up to something...
MISCHIEF! MISCHIEF!
Goodbye Professor. You are now sitting on a beach earning 20% :'(
sniff* he found his detonators....ill miss you hans gruber!!!
+Andrew Hoak I'll miss Metatron...or morelike just Mr. Rickman....
+Captain Cartman .....what?
+adrian graf You need to see more Alan Rickman films. Professor as in Professor Snape. His earning 20% is paying homage to his character Hans Gruber from Die Hard.
+adrian graf Also just in case...The man in the chair is Alan Rickman...who recently passed away :(
1:04 I can just imagine Snape skipping merrily through Hogwarts to the horror of Slytherin students humming this xD
LOL🤣🤣🤣🤣 and Slytherin students be like: UMM is Professor Snape ok??

I'm still denying Alan's death, he was so talented
Sameee
It's been nearly 6 months since Alan passed and I still can't get over that he's gone. One of my favourite actors ever. R.i.p Mr Rickman. your incredible talent will live forever.
It's been 3 years and I still can't get over it 😢😭

Rest in peace to one of the greatest British actors of our age
I feel this is the most beautiful male duet piece of all time. Alan Rickman and Johnny Depp - beyond brilliant. They made magic.
R.I.P Alan Rickman. You will always be loved.
Sky Marie not for me hahah
@@nehuenpalacios7438 What??

RIP Alan Rickman (1946-2016).
This is and will always be the best version of Sweeney Todd. Just a brilliant masterpiece on all fronts
"Who in this wide world does not know the great... Alan Rickman?" :'(
My mum and dad my friends my friends parents

I can't believe. He was one of my favourite actors... Rest in peace Mr. Rickman.
He's one of my favourite actors too, I really really miss him. :(
Rickman and Depp's voices work so well together in this song it's ridiculous.
"Even when they leave you and vanish, they somehow can still remain there with you."
Goodbye Alan Rickman
I watched this when I was 9. The scar has not left yet LMAO
I, too, was exposed to this at a young age because my brother played Judge Turpin in his High School play. I was 8!!!
Did this scar appear along your throat? xD
But honestly, I understand that, too. I first saw it at a young age. Not young enough to warrant a month’s nightmare patrol, but young enough to not grip the full story.
Love your profile pic.
Sophia Salido tim burton
You just get chills from hearing Depp sing- he's so good!
4kkjwkaz Alan sings better.
4kkjwkaz Well, Depp's Voice was altered by many effects, Rickman's wasn't.
@@nickkohlmann where did you get that?
@@HappyHauntsMaterialize I think I got it from the extras of the DvD or wikipedia, been a few years.
Best scene of the whole movie!
At the end, Grindelwald looks on in horror as his younger self enters his shop.
Looper 2
I was shocked beyond words of expression when I heard Alan Rickman has left us. He was by my reckoning one of the greatest actors of our time and this track from Sweeny Todd is-in my opinion-some of his best work. Rest in Paradise Alan, your presence will be sorely missed though your talent will always be deeply loved. So say all of your fans....
Best actor.... RIP January is this year, a month of SHIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring back Alan and Bowie !!!!
+florian13001 and Take Trump, Kim Kardashian and Justin Bieber. (Celine Dion's hesband died as well)
don't forget robin Williams
of course
And now Prince is gone...
Gene Wilder.
The harmony when they sing "Proof of Heaven" is just immaculate!
One of my all time favorite musicals!
along with almost every drama person.
I feel like Alan Rickman would have been perfect as javert
Warren McFadden Oh my god yes
I feel he would've been good, but I do really like Russell Crowe's performance of that character
get the pilosevers stone here reanimate alan and make it hapen
Stanley Schlosser ah yes, a full metal alchemist reference, nice work
That would have worked welllllllll T_T
This scene is lit and blocked so perfectly - the blue and dark tones...perfect.
People like to shit on this movie a lot in comparison to the Broadway version but Allan Rickman's voice is fucking magical.
So every other Sweeney Todd thing out there gets a -1 point for not having Rickman in it.
+The Dee Rest In Peace Mr. Rickman.
I had to come back here and comment. I simply can't believe it.
+The Dee strange isn't it, leaving a comment like that then a month later that person dies :( I just watched Love Actually over New Year. And last week I watched Extras and was laughing at the David Bowie episode then days later, he dies :'(
+The Dee I quite enjoyed the movie. This song in particular is chilling because it's essentially a "love song" but one sung by two of the darkest characters in the film.
+The Dee I adore the way both sang this song. It is sensitive and not overbearing. On stage gusto is needed, yes, but it often seems overdone.
You want to talk about overdone? Compare Phantom of the Opera's overture between the play and the movie :P
Movie:
Auctioner: Perhaps we can... frighten away the ghost... of so many years ago... with a little illuminaton. Gentlemen?

Dude, chill. Did you forget your meds again?
Have to listen to his voice on this tragic day. We'll all miss you Alan! One of the best actors of all time.
In high school choir class, my music teacher played this movie scene. Wanted to show how bass and tenor can sing together. Made me appreciate this movie more lol
play this every time I shave.
R.I.P Alan Rickman :(
Their voices work so perfectly together, Alan Rickman was such a talent
At first I thought Alan said 'Water' at 0:58. I was like: 'Yeah. That is obvious. #AlanLogic' xD
+Mei Misaki This comment is underrated
+L.L White indeed
+Mei Misaki: Dammit now I can't unhear water LOL
:)
0:14 Jesus, Depp. Give Alan some room to breathe.
This musical collaboration is beautifully done...the passion in Depp's voice.
❤👏❤👏
This scene gives me the tingles. So soothing!
Great harmony. Didnt know Johnny Depp could sing.
He dropped out of high school to be a musician.
He can't sing.
Nick Mayor Like you could sing better....
After this I was really hoping Alan Rickman could of done more musicals. Such a beautiful voice! RIP Alan
Despite the context, I find this one of the most beautiful pieces of work Sondheim has ever written. The orchestration is breathtaking.
