This was explained in books. He didn't go to college because he wouldn't age and they wanted to stay a few years in the same place which wouldn't be possible if everyone notice that they aren't aging. So, they will claim to be as younger as possible.

From what I remember of when I read it at like 14, some vampires will occasionally run into someone with blood that smells so good to them the need to drink it is almost drug like. But it’s like specific to that vampire. Apparently Emmet ran into someone with blood who smelled like that to him and he downed them like a kool-aid packet. So you put a permanent teen next to an actively smoking weed bud and expect him not to end up with the munchies? Nah. Not gonna work out.
I laugh every time I read the beginning of Midnight Sun. Bestie was really like, "I can snap four or five necks per second, if I run up the left side of the classroom first they'll never see me coming...they won't have time to scream..." It was just too much
I think they did a good job in the movie, considering they decided to use Bella's point of view. Even before I read the books, I always felt that in that scene there was a lot going on inside Edward's head that we couldn't understand, because we knew nothing of him at the time. So when I read his part, it made a lot more sense the restrain i saw in the movie.
@@cosmik411 actually she started writing Midnight Sun in 2007ish so she actually gave Robert Pattinson the rough draft of what she had written so far of Edward’s POV then the draft got leaked in 2008 so she stopped writing it cause of how heart broken she was & spent the next decade going back, stopping, going back, stopping, until finally she was like “DAMN IT IM GONNA FINISH IT” in like early 2019, finished it at the end of 2019, then the pandemic happened & she thought about holding off releasing it but then she was like “fans have waited 12 years for this, I don’t want to make them wait any longer just cause we can’t go outside” Also she felt like it would be nice for people who were stuck at home. So yeah that’s the basic history of Midnight Sun & she’d gotten 12 chapters in when it was leaked so she’d written that scene already so Robert Pattinson definitely read a rough draft of that which is why he made the acting choices he did throughout the movies, cause he’d gotten a hint of what went on in Edward’s head & how tortured he was. & that’s also why Robert HATES Edward so much cause, again, he’d gotten a hint of who the guy was on the inside & Rob was like “this guy is a fucking awful, unlikeable, miserable piece of shit” 🤣🤣🤣 which I respect that view point from him 🥴🥴
