    I think it's a good idea to take a sharpie and write the correct capacitor size near where it mounts. Saves time on the next call and keeps down confusion. Sometimes technicians get creative with those capacitors LOL

    I did a lot of caps last week. Mostly 40/5. You should get one of those Turbo 200 universal caps, they come in handy. You should bring a new disconnect also for the hot wired one.

    I am fighting my AC. It's an old r22 bastard Lennox. And yeah it's hot today.
    Been spraying thr condenser coild with a hose set to mist all day so I can get a little relief.

    Great video Jeff stock up those capiciters and when they come in put the correct ones on and
    Jeff if you carry r 22 keep it in the truck but offer them a conversion if necessary this is not the time with this heat to be replacing systems and ordering new ones it's just keep em running time and fix them.
    But keep r22 on the truck for those you know just need a small amount jobs. But if it has a leak offer a conversion.

    1) Probably stop that JARD crap. Turbo HD?
    2) Suction pressure would still be normal with overcharge with a TXV metering. Fixed metering it would be high. TXV restriction would give you low suction and could give low head as well. It could be an overcharge with that high subcool and high head.

    Cap graveyard. At least they were simple calls and not those calls that have you head scratching I’ve had a tough summer as well nonstop calls working 60 hours a week. I learned early on to always keep a minimum of 5 each of the common size caps because the chances I would run that many service calls in a day with the same issue are slim then I restock anything I used before heading out the next day. For emergencies always had a Turbo 200 they are pricey but they will save your ass.

    • @TwangTown
      @TwangTown หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @carlbass4449 that's after burning for a few hours in the hot Tennessee sun, trying to do a mind meld as to what the hell is causing it.
      I'm 95.555 percent sure it's got a slow leak in the evap coil. But... I'm a guitar player not an HVAC tech.
      (Which is why I do all my own electrical, plumbing and HVAC repair)
      If only mine was just a coil. But heck the heating coils are Trane, Air Handler an old Lennox Elete out of a Payless shoe store that went under.
      I can't really complain too much. I traded a Forrest Custom guitar for unit. It's 20 plus years old. But I keep it running. Put a QWIKLUG QT2812 kit on the compressor 4 years ago. That's how rotten this old dog is.

    • @TwangTown
      @TwangTown หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It was extremely low on r22, and the liquid line was obstructed so one side of the evaporator froze up immediately after adding inline leak sealer and r22.
      Working good now tho.
      I don't envy you guys. That's a hard job, doesn't look that tough, but any DIY guys could do more damage, plus the heat... Today's gonna be even hotter.
      I think I kinked the liquid line getting to the squirrel cage a month ago when I first started noticing it wasn't blowing cold. And that caused the obstruction exacerbating the problem.
      Luckily I have a couple good HVAC friends.
      Love your channel man. Stay cool!

I installed a AMRAD 40/5 and we just bought this house and I know it has the original compressor in it.Should I be worried about it? They used a marker to mark the date on it.PS.
