This is an amazing story. Really happy for them. I stuttered all my life. I still do. I'm 38 now. It knocked my confidence growing up as a kid in Nigeria until I told myself I wasn't gonna be bothered about it any more. Today I'm a doctor in the UK with a wife and two kids. Getting over it may not be as easy as Steve says. But even if you don't get over it, you can still be all you can be even if you stuttered. People are just gonna have to deal with it. There's no point feeling sad if you have a stutter. No point whatsoever. Go out there and be the best version of yourself.

I can relate to them. I struggled stuttering to the point I couldn’t say anything. Now I can talk in front of large groups of people I still stutter but I’ve gotten a lot better. Reading out loud helps as well.

He is absolutely right that no one can understand the pain we feel and no one knows the battle we are fighting with ourselves... My daughter stuttered when she was a toddler and she grew out of it. What's amazing is that her dad stuttered and he grew out of it. His family would say, "Take your time." They would repeat that phrase until he stopped. Amazing
Thats crazy my son studdered until about 6, i think he was just excited. Id tell him the samething...in a sweet voice id say....take your time baby, and think aboit what u gonna say....ready? And then he would speak clearer. Low and behold, thats basically Steves advise. Thank you Lord for giving me the wisdom in that moment to help my son.

Been struggling my whole live with stutter. In the end op high school I had to decide what do i want to do in college. I always wanted to work as a administration worker. I didn't do it cause I've been told that I couldnt cause i can't come out of my words properly. So i decided to do sales. After 2 years of feeling unhappy i finally decided to atop with work and go to school to finish my administration education. I am not thinking now that my stutter is a problem, but it is a gift from God to grow and to learn to be confident and to love myself. You can do anything just believe in yourself!
Have you tried the technique Steve mentioned, by any chance? I'm interested in hearing people's experiences with this technique. I don't have a stutter myself, but I have friends who stutter so this might be a good technique to share.

There are moments that STEVE has where you see the man and not the entertainer, His First moment with Alaina and his conversation with Monique. I'm sure there's more but those moments are stand out for me.
I saw her the first time when she came out with her stutter during Ask Steve. I applaud her courage and strength for reaching out and letting herself be vulnerable. It took guts. A stutter could be embarrassing but it was obvious she was smart, courageous, and really beautiful. She has a lot going for her and even if she isn’t fully “cured” people should take her seriously. On a follow up it seemed like she fixed a lot of her stuttering-good for her. Regardless, we should all accept one another for our strengths and shortcomings. Not one of us is perfect. It is so sad that society and media create this “ideal type” especially for women to strive for that is nearly impossible to attain yet women kill themselves chasing it. To me, imperfections are character. Beauty is only skin deep, and its what’s inside that counts the most.

I saw her the first time when she came out with her stutter during Ask Steve. I applaud her courage and strength for reaching out and letting herself be vulnerable. It took guts. A stutter could be embarrassing but it was obvious she was smart, courageous, and really beautiful. She has a lot going for her and even if she isn’t fully “cured” people should take her seriously. On a follow up it seemed like she fixed a lot of her stuttering-good for her. Regardless, we should all accept one another for our strengths and shortcomings. Not one of us is perfect. It is so sad that society and media create this “ideal type” especially for women to strive for that is nearly impossible to attain yet women kill themselves chasing it. To me, imperfections are character. Beauty is only skin deep, and its what’s inside that counts the most.
