It's amazing how talented Oliver Jackson-Cohen is with playing sweet and honorable Luke Crain in "The Haunting of Hill House" and troubled & manipulative Peter Quint in "The Haunting of Bly Manor", Cass.
and his role in The Invisible Man! he's SO underrated
Love Flora’s “dead doesn’t mean gone” and Owen’s beautiful speech about his mom. I can only hope that when I die, someone remembers me that well.
You asking “what would happen if we chopped the head of one of the dolls off” made me spit out my drink 😂
I love the stream-of-consciousness type of commentary that you provide while watching the show; it gives us a wonderful glimpse into how your mind is processing the story as it unfolds (as opposed to having large chunks of pre and post-reaction comments that most other people do). I tend to overthink things and have an internal dialog running in my head when watching shows like this, so I can relate to a lot of what you say out loud as part of your reaction.
"Alcohol you later.." lives rent free in my head
Rahul Kohli's (Owens actor) speech was beautiful. As someone who has had someone close to me pass with dementia it was absolutely heart breaking. Rahul did such a great job and really in that moment sold me on how great an actor he is. It's one of my favorite moments in the show despite being quite sad.
Same here, and what's worse is it runs in the family so now i'm dreading it happening again. Getting old sucks.
the accent Ygritte and Jamie have is Northern England. I also agree i love the accent, on the topic of game of thrones i love Davos' accent im pretty sure its geordie (Newcastle dialect, very similar to Ygritte and jaime), which is where im from and he sounds just like my grandad. Davos is such a comfort character of mine
You know how the narrator tells the story here and there? I find it so warm and soothing and beautiful. I mean part of it is the writing, sure, because the Gothic style is so poetic. But still, I wish they would produce audiobooks this way.
I find this show so calming even though it's a horror show. The writing, especially the narrator parts, is so beautiful plus the acting... makes it the perfect type of show for me and I really like your reaction and insights.

Yeah Peter is a walking, talking RED FLAG the size of major city! Yet, we will learn enough about him to understand why. Why, but that does not mean he should not be stopped at all costs. In fact, on some level, I think even Peter knows that about himself. Which is an amazing nuance when you think on it.
The accent is kinda/sorta Northern.
The lady in the lake wears a dirty white dress. Just sayin'

Miles has seen Peter too in the window after he pretended to pass out. I couldn't tell from your editibg if you understood if that was the same person ornot because when they transitioned intokbe year agoto his reflection in the window you didn't seem like you recognised him as the man in the window, it seems like you only recognized him from Hill House haha.
And I'm sure you understand now that the footprints isn't from the kids, but from the lady ghost walking around, right??
Speaking of that, the kids protecting her from the ghost goes back to when they locked her in the closet. They weren't being mean, they were just protecting her.

Her main genre of music is under indie/alternative but she also has a lot of elements of rock and pop. Your lyrics break downs are the best and i feel like Mitski is great for that, her songs are amazing lyrically. The series veered away from the original Henry James novel by giving us a backstory for the ghosts.
This is my theory: I think Dani's boyfriend's ghost haunting her is her own homosexuality haunting her, that's why he appears every time she's with Jamie or after she's been with Jamie, but now that she's kissed Jamie, she's embracing who she really is, so she's not afraid of him/it anymore.
That's what I thought as well and I've read somewhere that he is not a ghost like the others in the show, but kinda like her compulsory heterosexuality like you commented.
to me it seems like he’s her guilt over his death haunting her and preventing her from getting attached to people/into romantic relationships
