Annie... because of you I took the leap and bought the Epson P900. It was delivered today, and I'm watching and rewatching this video to make sure I'm doing everything correctly. I'm taking all of your advice. Thank you SO much for sharing this!! I'm so grateful.
This is great! Thank you for sharing. Please do a simple, detailed video like this on how you turn your physical art into a digital version to print.
Yes, please, this! 👆🏼
Sure thing! ❤️
This was my next question as well, please!🤩
I agree, firstly, thank YOU for this amazing video! And I am very interested in how you digitize your originals.
Yes me too please. I loved this video. And also how to package your prints so they don't tear
This is one of the more detailed videos I have watched. Thank you.
Sharing successes and bringing others along is why women should be in charge of the world. Thank you
Why can't we all share in that....men and women?
I guess men have never done that...?
Men and women can both be generous and expansive, and they can both be ego driven narcissists, many have been damaged by such women …
I love how you let your personality shine through in your tutorial! You have the kind that makes everyone say, "we could totally be friends". Thanks for the information on the paper as it is so hard to find the right one. As far as the printer, I just bought the Epson xp-15000 since I wasn't sure if my art would take off. I hope that since it's not archival ink that I didn't make a mistake. I guess better to make it that way than spend a lot and not sell anything.
Take care!
That is THE KINDEST compliment!! Thank you! And don’t worry about starting with the Epson xp! I think what is more important is that you are moving forward 🥰 If you get to a point where you are ready to upgrade, you totally can!
I completely agree, Lisa!
Great video! Thanks for making it!
This is so honest and helpful!❤ Thank you for being so authentic, I really love the way you talk and present everything. You make lovely paintings and great content!
Thanks for this video and beautiful art! Question: are you printing in RGB or CMYK? I’ve never been happy with CMYK results. TY
This was the best tutorial for printing! Thank you!!
This is exactly what I need! Thank you so much for taking the time to create this extremely valuable information. (Gorgeous artwork btw!)
This information is so useful! The canvas paper looked amazing!❤❤
It’s my FAVORITE 😍

YAAY!! I’m so glad this video helped because I know it can be tough decision. Cheers to growing your art ventures!!❤️
I love this video❤ Thank you for sharing.
Thank you. Ive wanted that printer for a while. But i had not heard or had it demonstrated as to why it was good. And the help on the paper for watercolor and acrylic/ oil was so helpful. Teeth first, printer second unless more money comes !
Lol yes!! Teeth always first! I am so glad you found this video helpful because I get the same way when researching printers. I wanted this video to be the type of review I was looking for when I was researching printers.
Great video and thank you for sharing🎨🥰
Thank you, sincerely. I have been stewing over this decision for a while. Your artwork is beautiful!

Thank you for sharing this technical explanaition about printing. It was so much fun to watch and the canvas paper makes a lot of difference.on the Art.
Hi, do you scan your original art or make photographs? I would love to see your process before you get to the printing stage.
Thank you sooo much for sharing your process. I am just starting to share my art and this has been so helpful. You are sooo lovely.
This is so incredibly helpful! I just love your whole aesthetic and these videos are fabulous. Congrats on your new channel. Looking forward to watching more! 💞

Oh, I forgot to say - your artwork is beautiful.
I really appreciate you being so generous in sharing this information. I’m a fairly new artist & have been toying around with whether to eve try making prints or not. This video made me feel like I could do it. You just have a kind &
encouraging attitude - thank you again!!
Thank you so much for ALL of this information! I know that I needed to start to look into printing but I just could not wrap my head around it. And now you have done that for me! You have provided so much detailed information and I feel like you discussed your thought process for each decision you made. Thank you again!
You are so welcome!! I am so glad you found it helpful!
Thanks for sharing! Id love to hear how you go about getting high quality pics of your original art as well. I take mine with an iphone but im not super thrilled with the quality.
Are you asking for reproduction quality? That would be a high-definition professional scanner. I would think Kinkos or Staples, but it's been years since I've had anything done. 30 years ago my prints were done from professional quality transparencies into Cibachrome photo prints for sale. Today if I had something nice that I wanted to ask a fair amount for I would use Giclee'. If you're just showing them for sale, see if you have professional settings on your iPhone camera. I've had them on my Samsung flagship phones. You want to set your phone on something to stabilize it, so that is completely perpendicular to the painting, and have only moderate zoom so that the edges are square to prevent distortion. You don't want to show your images online in high resolution format anyway except in small crops.
This is my favorite video yet!!! You are sooo talented!
THANK YOUUU🥰🥰🥰
Well done. You have a nice on screen presence and a clear way of describing things. I've recently decided to begin selling my art and then have learned about art prints. I'm thinking I should outsource the printing first to see if there is even a market for my work before I invest in a printer. But it sure is tempting!
Annie, YOU.ARE.AMAZING! You are soooo full of generosity and helpfulness! I already LOVED following your art and even purchases your online class years ago! But, this is so awesome to learn from you. Thank you for your sweet and kind spirit as well. 💕
btw...you had asked for suggestions for other videos. It would be wonderful to hear how you scan your art and what scanner and settings you use to do that. Thank you again! It is SO great to have you on TH-cam!
Aww thank you so much!! I am so glad you are enjoying my TH-cam channel!! ❤️
My next video will be about scanning artwork so stay tuned 🥰
Yeah!!!
Thank you so much! I have been asked to print my work to sell and I wasn’t sure what to do and this was very helpful. You have a nice friendly vibe and your easy to listen too, lovely video 😊
You are so welcome! I hope this felt like a good jumping off point for you because I know sometimes it can be hard to know where to start. Happy printing!!

Thank you, Annie! Your video is so helpful. I took notes and hope to refer to them once I'm ready to invest in a printer. Thanks for sharing your behind-the-scenes process.
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video!❤️
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Would you talk about your framing process?
This video has been really helpful. I second the request below on a video on how to digitalise art for sale. Thank you!
Such a great and informative video! Thank you!! I hope you will consider another video soon that goes over where you buy your sleeves, backing, and packaging for shipping, etc. 😊 Love your process!
Also, what print shop did you use beforehand?
I’m so glad that it was informative! That is definitely something I can go further into :)
Also! I used Gicleetoday.com! They make BEAUTIFUL prints but with the quantity I was ordering, the turnaround time was just too long. So just keep that in mind 🥰
your smile 🥰
I have two Epson large format printers and always used the Epson Presentation Matte finish. But I am intrigued by the paper you use! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you Annie. This is very helpful... An excellent, clear video...
Thank you very much for sharing! You have beautiful artwork!
Great info! Thank you for sharing! I'll be saving this for later❤
This was so helpful! Thanks for sharing your knowledge so generously!
thank you for sharing this 🙏🏼 I’m no where near ready for it but was so helpful learning from your honest experience:)
You are so welcome! Hopefully it will be helpful for you down the road 🥰
Thank you for sharing your printer information. It was very help helpful 😀
You are so welcome! I’m glad it was helpful 🥰
Thank you Annie! I’m needing to upgrade my printer and this was hugely helpful! Can I ask why you don’t leave a border around the images so that buyers don’t lose any of the image when they mat and frame them?
I'm in Denmark and I have a really nice place that print any size for me. I sell my prints, without frame, for around $100 for A3 (C3) size. It is printed on 350gms archival art paper and I pay $20 each print they even pack and ship them to my customer for that price. My customers doesn't know where the print come from, my address is printed as return address. This is the cheapest option. You can also choose passepartout, lot of different kind of glass and frames, get it printed on canvas, glass, wood, alu, giclée, acrylic aso. That I why I probably never will print myself. I never thought that printing yourself would pay off in America where the competition is so much bigger
It would be great if you did a video about how you capture the image from your original. Do you scan them? Do you take a photo? And either case, what is the equipment that you use? While this was great a review of your printer, it left a lot more questions about the entire process.
Agree...getting artwork "digitized" is an important first step. I think she likely scans them in. I was told by someone at a printing biz that scanning your artwork is better than printing from photos...that are typically in jpg format. He said that with high resolution scans, you will get better prints, esp for enlargements.
So good!!!! Thank you. I’m sharing this video with art friends.
Ahh!! Thank you!!❤️
Thanks so much, great video and so informative - love your artwork too xx
Thank you so much for this helpful information!!! I would love to know specifically how you get your paintings into your computer. Do you scan on a scanner bed? Take a photo with a camera or your cell phone? That is one of my biggest struggles. I'm trying to paint bigger but my scanner bed only accommodates a standard letter-size paper. Your work is very beautiful, by the way!!
This video erased my fear of being successful in my art lol
I should be so lucky! But, if so, I know the way forward. Thank you!!!!
Thank you for all the information you are giving us. Love everything about what you do. your style and much more! You are an inspiration! Love to see a video on how you scan your artwork or take pictures of it? and how you play with colors digitally to enhance the colors a bit?
You are so welcome! I’m so glad you are enjoying my videos!
How to scan artwork was widely asked about after this video so I will be doing a follow up video next week answering all of your questions so stay tuned 🥰
This is such an informative video, thank you! I have been looking for flat file furniture like you have but am not finding much that I like. Can you share where you got yours?
Thanks for the info.. great video! I’ve been thinking about investing in a printer. You’ve provided lots of great info! ❤
I’m so glad you found it helpful 😊
I think you’re the most down-to-earth person I’ve ever seen here on TH-cam! Just subscribed! Are you a Libra, by chance?
Oh my goodness thank you so much!😭❤️ that means the world. To answer your question, I’m not a libra lol.
Thank you for your information, very helpful and very generous! 💕
You are so welcome! I’m so glad it was helpful!!
This is a really great video. Thank you for sharing.
This is awesome, thank you so much for sharing. Very helpful indeed.
I’m so glad you found it helpful!❤️
Sooo helpful! Thank you!
Thank you, Annie, so much. I’m in my 70’s. I’m retired and would like very much to do something like this. I’m wondering if you photograph your image with your phone or do you use a camera? I subscribed
This is such a helpful video ~ thanks for sharing! ❤
I’m so glad Marci! 🥰🥰
Thank you for sharing. I appreciate this so much. ❤🎉😊
Beautiful artwork ❤
Thank you so much!❤️
Thank you so much for sharing! Great info and you are beautiful!:)
What a helpful video!! Thank you so much!
Thanks so much!❤
You're welcome 😊
Hello! You’re an exceptional person. Thank you for sharing. Do the art prints you produced from that printer fade? Do your customers say any feedback regarding their color fastness? Thank you so much for your video and information.
Thank you Annie, so helpful 😊
I’m so glad to hear!!😄❤️
Thank you for sharing!! Curious to know, do you sign your prints? How do you package to send them?
This was really helpful thanks
I’m so glad! You’re welcome 😄
Do you scan your artwork? What software do you use to edit your photo?
I do! I always prefer scanning over photographing because scanning gives the most consistency. I use photoshop for photo editing.
@@AnnieQuigleyArt Thanks :) Do you have any recommendations for a scanner?
This one is a great one: amzn.to/3V1lRtG 😊
@@AnnieQuigleyArt awesome, thanks! :)
Wonderful video! Very empowering! I have a trivial question. I loved several of the prints you showed that had a bar, top and bottom, that hung from a chain. What product is that? I love it with your landscapes!
4:12 I need a tutorial for that watercolor painting you did! It’s so beautiful 🤩
Ill add landscape tutorial to the list 🥳
@@AnnieQuigleyArtyay thank you!
Anna - I would love to know how you actually scan your art so you’re able to print them on your amazing printer. I’m struggling and want to start selling my work.
Would you share a video on how you do that?
My most recent video walks you through scanning your work and I hope to put out a video this summer all about selling your work :)
Hi could you do a video on how you package and ship the done art work?
Definitely!
I’m only 1/3 of the way through the video and had a question. You have said that how the monitor looks is how the print comes out. Did you download Epson printer profiles? I have seen others talk about this but honestly don’t know how to do it or how it works. Also someone talked about calibrated monitors. I don’t really know about that either. Did you do either of these things to “print what you see”?
Gotta get back to your video! Thanks for the help!!
Amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this information and your experience. I would love to watch a video about how you create the digital file of your artwork. Do you photograph your paintings or scan them?
I have the Epson 1430. They don’t sell it anymore but I want to help my dad print his artwork. I will try that Epson paper and see how it works with the 1430. Thanks! ❤ I bought refillable ink cartridges for my printer.
That is so sweet of you to do that for your dad ❤️ I hope the epson paper works well for you! I love it :)
Hi Annie! This was such a helpful video. Do you have a tutorial, post, or any resources on how to scan/stitch or photograph an art piece for print? That is where I get stuck. I have an Epson scanner and a Nikon dSLR. But I get paralyzed by fears that I didn’t capture the art well enough. I don’t have a laptop. I work from an iPad Pro. So I can’t see the whole image on a giant screen. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you for being so generous with your talents and heart! ❤
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Thank you for this detailed video! I would like to know after you scanned and edited the drawings on PS, do you save it in RGB or CMYK mode? This is the one thing I get so confused because many people said for printing we always have to save the file in CMYK, but I also saw some POD sites asked for RGB! So what is your settings like? Thank you! 😊
This is a fantastic video! So much good information! I feel like I’m missing the first part though. How do I turn my artwork into a high quality digital file?
your video was very helpful. thank you. i do have a question. how do i find out what kind of paper i would need for different mediums? for example: charocal, pastel colored and oil, watercolor.
What is your scanning process?
Wow tank you for sharing,, very kind of you. 🤗 I wish you continuous good luck in your business.
I wonder how much can you adjust in the soft wear program before you print? And is the soft wear Epsons own or are you using something else?
Do you know how well the ink stands, I mean color fastness over time?
Thank you again for sharing. 🤗
You are so welcome! Epson print layout is just for printing. I don’t think it hs any color adjusting options. To answer your question about ink, I think it lasts about 200 years for color and 400 for blacks and white :)
You are adorable Thank you for all your info 🙂
Great video!
Do you take your own photos of your paintings for prints? Like digitize them yourself? Edit colors? Do you use photoshop/lightroom?
How much should an artist make before printing in house instead of from a printshop?
I scan my art whenever possible and use both photoshop and Lightroom. I have a video coming next week explaining my process :)
Looking forward to seeing your video on the first step.. photoshop etc.
Epson surecolor p700 is 800 and rebate gets you $200 back - drawback is that it basically comes with no ink and it costs over $300 to buy all 11 ink refills
Thank you for all the information. Who did you use when you outsourced? I cannot afford the printer at this point.
I used gicleetoday.com and they are great :)
