I have the Oregon 620-120 and love it. Before, I usually used either the Stihl 2-1 or a Dremel, both gave me such inconsistencies and I finally had enough. With the Oregon, it’s always consistent, and I get a much better cut and life out of a sharpen. I switched to the green Tecomec wheels and I find they do not produce as much heat as the pink Oregon wheels, I’d highly recommend trying one out!
Try a cbn. It will cost you a hundred dollars does a better job and you can do 700 to a thousand chains if you do like I said c your getting to big a bite wears Chan and wheel both out quicker
I have got pretty good with a file over the years, but now am using a grinder also. Don't know why but just the round file makes me nervous has for years. I took an ammo can and have extra chains for almost all my saws. I thought that axis angle was supposed to flip for each side Gonna try it 10 degrees up both sides like you showed. Thanks I enjoy your videos
You might be right about the 10 degrees for each side of teeth. I’ve just always left it up for both. I’ll try and experiment also. Thanks for watching.
A couple of tips. You can change the direction of rotation of the grinding disk and you want to grind " into " the tooth . Not away from it. That will not pull out such a big burr and give you a better edge. Second. get yourself a CBN grinding disc. The leave a way better finish, put less heat into the metal and keep their shape way better and last a loooong time. I did a video on how to change the direction of the disc if you want to have a look. You will notice a difference in your cutting speed and edge retention.
How did you reverse the direction of the motor. I've had a spare motor and experimented with it I can make it run backwards but the motor gets so hot you can fry an egg on it. On know you can use a portable and turn the wheel in the opposite direction turn on the switch and pull out the drill.at the same time. That wont work for the 410 or it won't mine I use mine to file gamers. The CBN wheel is a good choice . there is I trick to that when you set the angle you don't turn machine on you set your angle where you can bring it against tooth and turn it by hand it still will rub the tooth set depth gauge exactly the same way. . ill give you a little hint I've learned about getting parts . they have a lot of those things returned under warranty there is nothing they can do with them . if they got a 410 with the parts you need they will take the parts off the 410 and give you the part try it just tell them what kind of machine you got and the seriel number and there is a manufacturer date on it give them those numbers and the parts you need the will send then no charge they is nothing else they can do with them after a warranty replace and they will give you the part you need.
@@rc391995 I just spin it up with a drill that has a cut hex key in it running backwards as you said above .... mine does not get hot though, could be that your capacitor is fried
Great video
Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely try that the next time I need a new wheel.
