Its so funny! No other axe gets as much hate directly as the X27!😂😂😂 The X27 was my first axe and what opened the door to the axe world! Unfortunately most all the wood i get is Elm and all i do is handsplit with all my handles and vintage axes! Im not bragging i just enjoy the process! Great video!
Bought the Fiskars, and didn’t really use it- something about the handle and feel that I didn’t like. Returned it and bought the Helko Werk, and loved the way it felt, and I’ll keep using it from now on.
If you wrap the grip in skateboard tape or pistol grip tape, it helps SOOOOO much with fiskars. That poly handle is slick and you mentally just wanna death grip it
That lifetime Warren comes in handy if you split innhe winter and leave your maul/axe in sunlight often. The handles rot after 2-3 winters in the snow. I have had mine replaced twice.
You’re a brave man splitting elm by hand!
Sometimes I regret it! 😂 But with the right axes and a strong back I get it done. Thanks for watching.
if the fisker was a religion i’d be a disciple 😭🙌🏼🙏🏼
Fiskar…..😎

The helko werk does feel great. Nice wood handle with a very comfortable curve to it. Can’t beat the feel of wood. Thanks for watching.

Good point. Thanks for watching.
Frozen wood is so much easier to split than green wood.
Agreed! I enjoy splitting in the winter.
