But the Central Bank Governor said to Derana 'salakuna' programme that his point of view is ' when the car imports start, the prices of new fleet should be placed at a higher selling prices compared to the current selling prices of used cars as he needn't want to expect a sharp price reduction on them to hamper such car owners' 😂 But my point of view is that he is not aware about the fact that all current selling prices went up sky rocketed way subsequent to the import ban. All cars used for 20 to 30 years went up by many folds & ended up at unrealistic prices. He is not least worried or cared about the depreciation of values over the 20 - 25 years old stuff being a responsible officer who decide & fix tax policies at higher level. In this circumstances people will be compelled to carry on the current unfair price structure build up since the car import ban & never get an opportunity to buy & ride a new used car at a reasonable price as expected during the past few months. 😢😢
