- Welcome to my channel! Today I tell you a bit more about my art journal exchange with Angela Smit. I will show you my dearest pages, where the collaboration comes into its own, where everything is melting together - and pages that where a struggle for me.

Working in both of the books, we discovered we had many shared interests, like nature, music and spirituality.
Of course, when working together in such an intense way, you also come across differences or at least, different approaches. It looks like Angela feels at ease with large blanco spages throughout the book, while I feel it's necessary to fill things up. I learnt from that that I am able to work with ligher areas in my work, as long as I cover everything with paint, which could also be white or a tone close to white.
Also it was new to me with flaps and things that were just partly glued. I found that strange in the beginning, but during the process I started to love it more and more and added those elements in my own designs as well.

Thank you dear! I’m happy to hear that you like this page. The hollyhocks were there just for one year, after that summer they didn’t come back. Maybe I have to plant some new ones in the garden this year. Xx
each page had a wow element, some tangible, some intangible, w/the 'red thread' connection being my favorite component...like opening a box of godiva chocolate truffles...

De pagina van je tante met de -uiteindelijk- 3 handen op de verschillende pagina's zijn mijn favoriete pagina's. Het dromerige, het 'doorkijkje' die je op verschillende manieren kunt zien, echt sprookjesachtig mooi.

So curious: Please identify brand and model (size) of the books you're working in. It's amazing how much material they will hold.
Hi Corinna thanks for reaching out! The book is from the brand Ranger, it's form Dina Wakley. It has 52 pages, included burlap, handmade paper, kraftpaper and canvas. It's great to work in, but be aware that the books become always to thick! With most of my books the back get broken halfway, but I repair them when I complete a book. Much love from Spain.
