please, what is the size of the main fan on the radiator
I've read that this one has loud fan. I see two of them. What are the dimensions of the fans? It seems to be easy to replace them for better and quiter fans. Thank you.
Where can I find the LCD panel? What model number LCD panel is this? The one you pull out at 8:47. It looks like the one I'm trying to fix has several black blobs in the lower corner. Thanks.
@Vasco da Gama I never found one. I remember emailing the company and didn't get any info on this LCD panel. So gave up trying to get a replacement part. The person I was trying to fix this for ended up getting a nice Optoma projector as a replacement. They are now happy with their current projector. If the company offered to fix it or replace it, it didn't seem worth it for the shipping costs vs the projectors worth. Plus I think it's a flaw in the design, somehow one part of the LCD panel gets enough cooling while the corner doesn't and eventually succumbs to heat.
do you know how to get the lens out, mine's stuck even after all the screws removed?
My M18 does a klick noise if I touch it like some part is a bit lost inside.
Any idea which part it could be? Should I open it to have a look?

This machine is a sample for display, it will not be sold. As long as the 1LCD projector does not leave a very obvious fingerprint, a little dust will not affect the projection effect, and it is very easy to clean.

yes this model attracts quite some dust, have mine since a month atleast it looks easy to open it... i have worked on dlps before should be no problem....

Hello, don't recommend changing the Original fan, The speed of the fan needs to be debugged by the motherboard. If the third-party parts are replaced at will, it is easy to shorten the life of the projector.
How do you pop the top off so easily? The hdmi and usb ports are firmly holding down the top shell on mine, I cannot get them to sit behind it so I can pull up. All the screws are out but when I go to remove the top I have no way of getting the ports to not pull up with the top, they are firmly seated in it and I feel like Im going to break them before I can get it out far enough to get them out of the holes.

Did you ever get it apart, Jerry? I had a massively difficult time with it. The angled lip to the right of the USB ports would simply not come over the base. I filed it partly away with a dremel! Made it much easier. Then the left hand side (with the fan slits) would not budge until I realized that there was another screw hidden beneath a little round label on the bottom! AGH! I wonder if the angled lip would have cleared the base if I had found that hidden screw earlier. Good news is the cover comes off REALLY easily now.
agooga sorry for the late reply, yes I got it off, mine was stubborn especially for the first time opening, also probably just being too gentle because I didn’t want to break something, it really feels like your going to when you open this. I understand why they make it difficult but I came close to cutting part of the shell to make this easier as lcd projectors need to be cleaned periodically

There is 12V silkscreened on PCB power input. But LED might run on different voltage. However i would like to add DC input, so i can power this projector from solar system, car battery or something...
@@harviecz put multimeter red probe on +ve led and black probe on -ve led chip side - measure voltage , multimeter in series connection with led chip - measure current

No dust protection in all of these led projectors.it need to be cleaned after every 5 ,6 months.

Any videos or tips how to clean dust in m18
I didn't want to worry about dust, so I built a base to sit the projector into. It blows filtered air under and out past the side of the projector, past the air inlet ports. It actually shoves a little air through when the projector is off and helps it blow extra air through during operation. Does anyone know if i should leave the fan on after turning off or will this cool the led down too fast? Thanks for any help.
Just child play level projectors not meant for professional use.
The technik of this chinaprojectors are not bad and of one side very smart! But the casin is very cheap.. too cheap vor this priceclass. For example epson 5300 for 400euro you became a very solid projektor. And 2 jears garantie and a lot of options (keystone, real 24p, frameinterpolation, real 3d option like cinema and and and...and the case are proffesional designet. But i think to buy a f30 only for fun. Maybe makes me happy.. but i let me suprice. It can be top or flop..

What are the sizes of the fan? How is the heatsink mounted? Does it have a regular cpu socket mount? Is it possible to modify and watercool this beast?
