- Hey guys, I've been getting requested a lot to show how I make study guides for nursing school, so I decided to finally film it! There's not to it, but y'all have been asking so here it is! Hope you like it!

This is SO helpful! I just started my 2nd semester and really struggled the 1st semester. I didn’t make any type of study guide so will be trying this for sure! I have so many class mates that do it and benefit from it a lot!

Thank you. I'm going to try this approach 😁 I keep pausing and stopping my lectures to take notes, and a 1 hour lecture end up taking me 3 hours 🤣 I'm a second year nursing student in Australia, and I'm still finding the best way to study for me.

I do mines the same exact way. but we already get an outline with all the info. So I just add my notes. Super helpful.
I absolutely love this!! Im in my first year of nursing school and making my first study guide with inspiration from yours. How many pages are your study guides for each concept/topic? I feel like mine are way too long and maybe im putting too much info?
Weirdly for my program we have all out textbooks online part of a program which I find odd because I prefer the physical copy of the book for highlighting

If you don’t mind sharing do you have test anxiety? Do you have any tips if so? I do and I think that’s what’s getting me. I’m still getting high B’s but I’m in my first semester and I know it’s going to get harder.
Can you do a tutorial for how you format your outlines? I like the color options on this platform but I feel like my organization in the format falls flat or becomes overzealous. Thanks in advance!

A pre- requisite or Pre-req is a college course required to be taken by your program according to that programs curriculum for the semester .
So for example is you’re a nursing student any course required for you to be taken in your program that doesn’t start with the prefix NUR- would be considered a pre- req .
Pre -req classes must also be taken and passed according to the semester it’s listed in for your college degree program .
Ex . 1st semester Nursing School Curriculum
• Eng 101
• Bio 101
• Mth 100, 99 or higher
•Nur 201
• Nur 203
• Nur 204
I’m order for me to advance to the 2nd semester in the ADN program I will have needed to take all of those classes in my first semester of the program and have passed them.
Now most people choose to take all of their reqs first and then take their nursing classes , that’s the route I took and what I recommend . As you can see from above my college requires a lot of classes in the first semester of the ADN program itself .
Pre- reqs can also be taken before you are accepted into the nursing program .
You will be listed as a general student / general degree .

Hey girl im not sure if you know but you can also pull up the Powerpoint & view it as an*Outline... it will view only with words in outline format! Im sure you may have figured this out by now lol. Just fyi :D

No, usually accelerated nursing programs are for students who already have their BS or BA in another subject and will be entering a BSN program

I do a similar type of thing for pharm! I used to make medication flashcards like they suggested but that was just way too time consuming so I switched it up

it came to a point where i had to do research for online school-
My nursing program tests almost solely on nursing care/interventions, very little patho for my med-surg classes. How does yours test?
My school uses a concept based approach so we don't have separate Patho, nutrition classes, ect. I know most schools do it separately so idk what would be easier! I've never experienced it any other way
