Just rented the 1.5 tfsi one in Spain for 4 days & i was really impressed. 56 mpg, very comfy & a bit of fun in dynamic mode with the paddle shifter. Could seriously move between 60 & 160 on the motorway! Did struggle getting into the cocooned cockpit though. That bolster pad on the driver's seat would be worn out in no time unless you're a skinny teenager! The cost however is just eye watering for the one you'd want ie. the top of the range!
came to this video as waiting on a new build golf gti but kind of needing a car asap so bit of a wait have the a3 in stock for delivery but made my mind up ill wait on for the gti
Though red is not necessarily my choice of colour but it does “pop” on this A3. Overall, this latest iteration of A3 Sportback is probably the nicest looking.
As below. Previous generation was/is a far better looking and indeed designed hatchback. However! Simply buy a higher spec VW Golf and forget the Audi " snob" badge. Or even better save even more and grab a Ford Focus S Line and experience how a hatchback can handle and put a smile on your face and save a fortune!.
good job to introduce. what about cabin or road noise. previous version noise was high, but we all wonder about if there is any upgrade for isolation to minimize cabin noise.
Sad to see that Audi are still charging premium prices but not giving us quality products. Gave up with Audi in 2022 after more years than I care to remember 100 Avant, A1, S1, many A3’s and a brace of S3’s. Skoda Superb beats Audi for quality now!
You guys are more worried about the interior plastics than the actually engine lol I care more about the driving tbh. Skoda doesn't drive like an Audi.
@@andrecardoso6941 when I want to have an enjoyable drive I uncover my 2014 Fiesta ST3 Mountune (210bhp) which is a far better drive than either of the S3’s I have owned.
Epic review, where do you get the time to do all these cars?! Working hard! Previously had an S3 - except my neighbour told me I was mad and needed to get a Golf GTI. So I did. Changed that for a TTRS which was unbelievable and had insane build quality. But - seems like Audi build quality has gone done a lot, and the options list is getting longer! Could I justify an S3 over a GTI? Probably not.
@@NobbyOnCars Well your review of the GTI CS sealed the deal for me - got one after watching. Zero regrets - genuinely a fun car to drive everyday ... ! And a worthy replacement for the TTRS in the end.
I bought the 1 series after watching your review in 2020. Waiting for the update 120, so looking forward to your review of that. Annoyed they have removed the I drive and the exhaust pipe though! Jeez!
You might also want to check the boot size on the 1 series. It’s actually only 310 litres of usable. The underfloor is included but not regularly usable. The 120 was the 118, same engine but mild hybrid with the extra battery under the boot floor. I liked mine a lot.
If you’re in the UK, right now you can get £4250 of deposit contribution from Audi. This beats the Golf and many VAG other cars for value at the moment. The exposed paint of window frames isn’t an issue for most people. Why are you resting your knee against the centre console. That is weird! Maybe check your driving position. It’s actually bang on 8 seconds. Most people don’t actually need sub 8 seconds going by their driving skills.
It’s called context, these things used to be wrapped. And your knee rests against it when you’re driving an automatic. Now one of us drives a few hundred cars a year and one of us doesn’t, let me see who gets to notice / compare things in cars within seconds of sitting into them. You?
Many of those plastics look VERY cheap and nasty. It seems Audi quality is not what it used to be. For the price I’d expect better and certainly wouldn’t pay that sort of cash for that level of "quality"! AND, no sat nav!!!!!!! Audi, you are having a laugh!!!! 😂🤣 They MUST be joking, right?!…
Picked up the saloon version of this last week Far better looking in my humble opinion.
Prefer the hatchback

Is this not the black edition? Love the black window trim.
Really wish they'd offer the 3 door version again. Better looking in my opinion.

Audi:- Options list to pay for you say .
Would sir like a steering wheel?
Mmm, the poor things are so strapped for cash since Dieselgate. Schade!

My OCD those number plates NOT CENTRED
Is that the new “progressive red”? Would love to see a review of the more affordable standard Sport Model..
Correct

Had a sprint blue S3 myself back in 2007 and 3 GTIs before that, one MKIV and two MKVs. S3 was 60k back then, God knows how much now!

Audi - the kings of ‘all bottle no shampoo’.
You have viewers in Scotland, so please give mpg as other reviewers do. Thanks in advance.

Hopefully getting a look at it in October

Lovely car. Pity about the price. It looks like a Focus side on.
If you’re in the UK check out the deposit contribution right now. 😊
No mention of the glitchy MMI system? Wipes your settings at least once or twice a day!
Nothing wrong with it in the car I tested. Get your dealer to do a software update.
Same problem in my 2021 A3, have to reboot about once a week !
I have a 2024 previous model, and the front in this new one is odd. Maybe the logo position...
Super picky, but the off centre reg plate would annoy me as an owner
@@Fox04k noticed that myself 🤣

The plastic grill looks really cheap

Sure is
Can I just buy the new seats and the gear lever console to replace the ones in my 2020 A3 😂....£45k is alot of money...
Great video , but I prefer the Civic Advance.
Audi shouldn’t be classed as premium anymore
Why is that
Overpriced and hyped I’m afraid
Too much money and looks a bit odd from the front.
❤
Only snobs buy Audi these days. Sensible people buy Skoda.
😂
With golf you get better value for money…what a rip off
