I come back to this video at least once per year and learn something new! If you can take the time to master this and Quadrafuzz, you can accomplish nearly every effect you will ever need. Thanks again!
OMG!!!!!....this is an insane plugin!!!...i need more power in my computer to run all this but i cannot wait to have it... i assume it only comes on the Cubase Pro?... Thank you Dom for always sharing your knowledge!.....muchas gracias!!! 👍👍👏👏👏.. I love when you get so excited making new sounds...i totally love that feeling...and just play around with it lol LOVE IT!......YOU ARE THE BEST CUBASE TEACHER OUT THERE!!!..keep up the great work!.....MARABILLOSO!!!
So, I had a specific delay effect I wanted to add to a part of a vocal in my track (the last line of each verse) and I did what I often do...'let's see what Dom has to say about using delay!' Mate! Two hours (2 1/2 technically because it was a 30 minute video) and many creative rabbit holes later I have a completely different delay effect than the very basic idea I started my journey with. This is an AMAZING plugin and you, my friend, are an evil sorcerer! 😂 Really great video! Informative, inspiring and a little bit distracting...in all the best ways. Thanks, Dom!
Just what I needed. This thing was so intimidating that I didn't know where to start. Now I can see so many more creative possibilities! Thanks so much for this video!
I’ve opened this plugin so many times and never knew of or used more than 5% of its abilities/facilities but that will change from today! Thanks so much Dom! 😍
The delay is boss for sure, thx a bunch for showing us this. Although, i wish i knew all this before our album was done lol. My girl loves her delays so this will make her happy
Dom you inspire me so much to keep learning Cubase. Thank you for your time and effort in making this videos. I hope somehow you get financial compensated doing this because we do not have to pay a single penny and the quality is amazing. When my new CD gets released you will be in the credit list!
Ouch! Great not only in itself but as a springboard and inspiration for figuring out things to try with dedicated FX like if you have a specific convolution reverb impulse response from somewhere special you happen to think of when you hear these otherworldly sounds. Your brain gets drained and there is only 24h in a day and all that, but if you have all these in one plugin it makes things possible which you'd never thought about.
That erase delay was a secret weapon of the Lexicon Vortex. Try a long loop on high feedback and just jam odd synth notes over an initial riff so that just portions erased and the new notes are inserted, amending the riff...
You had me intrigued with this review. That said....holy cow that plugin is a resource monster!! I just picked a preset with some crazier parameters, just to wet my beak and...BOOM...resource meter started spiking. I was running at below half on that project on it's own. AMD Ryzen 8 core CPU
@@DomSigalas Just updated and yes, the spikes seem to have gone away. Good because it is a cool plug in and if it remained unstable, I would simply ignore it and do without. Now....I need to add an additional FX channel to my template. P.S. dug your video on MidiGate too. Great work!
Ricky Rubio looks like he could be your twin lol! Great content as always 👍🏼👍🏼(Btw you're Greek so u must like sum BBall.. Panathinaikos, Olympiacos 🤷🏻♂️)
Thanks. Very good review. Now I have started to understand the plugin settings. But I can't understand how a mono guitar on your track gives a stereo signal in the plug-in? Please answer.
Dom thank you very much for this tutorial I was expecting Multitap and an impressive wonder I have a question to give you advice to use it in INSERT? or in SEND? since it has the MIX parameter to adjust between DRY and WET
Hey Ivan! I would use it 90% of times as send effect. BUT I would use it as an insert if I wanted to use it as a creative effect (sound design) as part of the sound e.g. a synth or a dreamy guitar/vocal soundscape. It works better sometimes if you remove the dry signal a bit so in this case insert is a better choice!
Thanks so much for nice explanation. I am looking for a Delay plugin that works a bit different, for example 2 different instruments where the midi notes are on exactly same position but where one instruments sounds first and the second sounds after some milliseconds, and without the echoing. Is there some plugin like this ?
Yes! The Stereo delay in Cubase! Check my video for my favourite plugins - I say exactly what setting to use to get that effect (haas effect). You can apply this to separate instruments too.
Hi Dom. Do you think Steinberg Cubase MultiTap can do what TC Electronic 2290 is capable of? If you would have to choose one of them which one you would pick up?
Is there any news on next cubase big update to 11 or is it being held back because of covid? It's understandable if it doesn't this year, oh and excellent video
Quick question regarding Multi tap delay. Just having an issue with a couple of things; 1] When using the Tap Parameters with FX, I can't seem to adjust individual Taps without adjusting them all at the same time? 2] When using the Panorama I am not getting the option to use left or right, is this because I have a mono sample? Thanks
Too bad, the Multi-Tap Delay is quite intense on my computer's CPU. Good thing though, you already made a video on how to render-in-place, too. Thus my Multi-Tap-Delay does not remain unused. Any other tips on how I can deal with that?
Hay Dom You are my Cubase Guru i will be very grateful if you tutor about Steinberg Ambisonics plugins how to use it and more Thanks hope for your positive response
How does this compare to the features in Soundtoys ECHOBOY? Is it worth buying Echoboy or does this pretty much cover moest of what you can do? Anyone had any experience of both plugins? Cheers 👌😎
I own Echoboy. Multi tap Delay is more versatile in my opinion, but Echoboy has its own unique sound. I would say, if you learn MultiTap delay inside out and you feeel you need some extra flavour go for Echoboy too- you can’t go wrong!
@@DomSigalas Thank you for that Dom! The 'dealmaking' plug-in that made me upgrade to Cubase 10.5 - Nice one Dom
Glad you enjoyed! It’s indeed worth the price of admission alone!
Thank you Dom! Finally diving into the stock plugins and really love the GUI on this one 🤗
Wow, very powerful, see no reasons why this delay wont go to be for all DAWs like OTT compressor. Thank you for another great video!!!

Absolutely excellent run-through, thank you so much!
I'm convinced! Great tutorial, as always. And again you showed me not to ignore the Cubase stock plug-ins. Thanx Dom!!
Before this Video i thought the PrimalTap would be the craziest delay. Thanks for showing and explaining
YEs! PrimalTap is indeed a killer delay (I own it!)- but MultiTap kills everything in terms of versatility and features imo :)
They are both great ,but Multitap from Steinberg is almost for free because it is included with Cubase and that is WOW
Awesome video! Thanks a million Dom!
This plugin is mind blowing! I have used it a little bit, but haven't had a chance to go that deep... I definitely will after this video :)
Have fun with it Morrigan, I am sure it will do wonders for your vocals!

Wow. I commented on another video. But shit me, this covered exactly what I wanted. There's so much stock plugins but they barely get any airtime.
Dom, McDSP EC-300 has the downsample thing. ;) And UVI Relayer has a bunch of this also. But it is so cool this is an included plugin!
