      That would be awesome! Will definitely ping you next time. We had a blast last summer in CO - didn’t get to go this summer and it made me sad. Oh well - Crested Butte for skiing instead!

    Why aren't you running any skid plates? It looks like you removed the factory skid plate.

      I still have the factory skids from the bumper back. The CBI replaces the forward most skid. New skids is on the Christmas list tho! 👿

    I live in the Dfw area and would love to get into off road with my gx… do you think a stock 2014 Gx460 will be able to do this trail without any major damage? Have you consider perhaps organizing a trip with other gx owners so we can put our trucks to the test?

      There are definitely areas at Northwest OHV you can drive stock. Stay on the easy trails till you get the hang of it. There are several groups around DFW that organize trips - you can find them on Facebook: Soft Roaders Texas, GXOR NTX, GXOR TX, Texas Overland, etc. i chatted with the folks at GXOR NTX and they are working on putting together a GX outings soon so follow them. Hope this helps!

      @@TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad Today we drove through Northwest OHV on my stock GX460 and it was great! I had never done anything off road related but we managed to have a good time without damaging the car. The Gx felt like nothing could stop it with the exception of the front bumper clearance , we only stayed on the green trail but even some of those had some real challenges. I look forward to finding new places to take the Gx off road but keeping it stock...for now and until I get more experience. I'm glad I found your video, it was a big help in deciding to visit OHV. Thanks.

      @@iM-mf1ke glad to hear it! Northwest OHV definitely has something for everyone and you’re right… the GX can tackle a lot of it!

    Do you think I'll be able to fit 265/65/R18 underneath the spare tire section? Getting some mud terrains soon 😀

    • @TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad
      @TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have 265/65/18’s and they fit perfectly but they are ATs. MTs would probably fit… I would think!

    • @vadim9342

      @@TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad I would think that it should be able to fit. And let me ask you, do you have any rubbing while using a 65 aspect ratio tires? I heard about many people having issues of a bolt in the front fender area.

    • @TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad
      @TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vadim9342 Only rubbing was on the flexible inner fender liner which was easily bent using a heat gun.

      @@TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad Thanks a lot! Pardon me for all these questions. Today, I got a flat tire on my one of Bridgestone Dueler H/T factory tires and I now decided to swap out to MT or AT tires. I live in NY and the quality of our roads are atrocious. Plus I wanted to make my truck more capable.

      @@vadim9342 no prob man! Happy to help! MT’s will be a lot louder but offer better traction offroad. ATs are quieter but not as good as MT offroad. All are better than street tires! 😂
