With the RX-77AQ Guncannon Aqua being the latest banner to drop for Gundam Battle Operation 2, it was only fair to give it a proper shakedown and see how far we could go with it. The first match was during the first night of the banner, while the second is the day after. Based on a multitude of rounds from those two days reveals that despite some positives, the Mobile Suit itself feels a bit underwhelming. Despite having a fast reload time for what is the Guncannon Aqua's dedicated stun, the Needle Gun [Discharge] only provides 5% x 6 worth of stun buildup, which can help but falls short of stopping anything with Maneuver Armor. This would be workable if the other weapons for the Aqua Guncannon provided enough supplementary buildup as a means to make players more self-sufficient vs heavy dependant on their teammates. While any buffs that may come to this kit won't happen until the next unit adjustment date, here are some things that we could consider as additions to make this suit more effective. Balancers aren't required but with a melee option as decent as it gets, it does make you wonder why it wasn't included. As mentioned before, adjustment of the stun build-up values of the Guncannon Aqua's weapons would benefit from additional values as the weapons cannot utilize the flinch mechanic without teammate assistance in a majority of scenarios. Lastly, while a lot of the previous topics contribute to the suit's viability, the biggest factor is the lack of outgoing damage. Despite my best efforts over several matches, the Guncannon Aqua never broke past 62k, even during losses. It seems that the Guncannon Aqua was designed conservatively, however, time will tell if it remains in its current state. Let me know what you guys think. Part of the whole ordeal can be linked to skill issue and the random factor of teammates. However, where is the line drawn when it comes to this?
