When i first started playing couple years ago, i actually went full f2p, untill i got enough for a bond. Really brings memories of setting up trades overnight for some weird niche trade items, such as heraldic items, trims and just various low level items with weird trading margins. It's interesting how runescape economy on a low level is a microcosm of it's entierty, since in a lot of cases you can see how some of the trades happen, just by following where the items will be used down the line, no matter how "useless" item is, there is always something people miss, untill there is a spike on a graph.

those staff of airs are probably being bought by lava dragon bots, they use them from 1-75 magic then go to tridents. ive killed tons of them over the past 2ish months and theres about 3 bots every world. theres also other people pking them. (30k-100k per kill, was making over 2m a hour w/ loot keys) I could be wrong but thats my guess
I never had membership when I played as a kid, so even these days when I play, I spend my time in F2P. There's just way too much membership content and I never know what I should be doing. It doesn't help that it's time-limited (Especially with bonds), so I feel kind of obligated to learn quick, especially if I hope to make back enough money to buy another bond. I still haven't found a good "Here's what you should do after leaving F2P for the first time" guide. Most of them just say to do a bunch of quests, which are the most boring part of the game for me lol.
grind that first bond, then figure out a mems money maker you enjoy, now that pays for the bond itself:) when you feel you’ve got bonds or cash locked down try some other mems content out!
I started flipping with fresh f2p account in early august and currently I'm sitting at 2.6m. Never done it before, so I'm pretty glad with it. Total playtime so far is less than 5 hours, so pretty decent :D
@@TheSuperSwain low volume items can be put into the GE for ridiculous sell prices, to which a person trading gp can put in an offer to buy the items at similar ridiculousp rices, causing the money to go through the GE. less relation between players, at least is my guess.
i would say it doesn't help anybody , if anything it hurts people because the correct thing to do on any fresh account is to just buy membership with real money and develop your account while preserving your cash stack trying to go full free to play is the biggest noob trap, even after you get your first bond you have to very often stop doing productive stuff to go grind 5.5 million gp with low level money making methods and yeet it into the void

Awhile back I realized it was much faster to earn a bond in rs3, and since the two games share a membership might be a fun video to make 2 accs, one OSRS one RS3. Train the OSRS while making money on the RS3 one and see how long it takes and what level you can get on OSRS one.

So the key to making gp in f2p is really to find those profitable shop to GE or vice versa trades. That and patience to sell for an actual profit. "Only 24 hours" is very misleading in that sense. I didn't count up all the time you mentioned coming back after letting things sit overnight but it actually took a couple weeks it sounded like.
Also most of the teleportation magic moves require air runes. And if I remember correctly, three of them each time, so stuff of air is ideal to spend less runes

Im making a low pure to sit in f2p at that shop to see if I find anybody. Isn't a steel mace used for a morytania quest? Like where you need a bunch of steel items? Might be good items to keep an eye on. Flipping takes patience as much as knowledge. That being said you have a knack for finding some crazy flips. Unless you're buying them in the G.E. on your other account. Lol
Need a guide like this but for more leveled f2p players or a guide that shows you how to profit most while leveling and doing f2p quests so they can be fairly leveled and quested to make the most of a bond when they do get one.
I did the ruby and other necklaces, amulets, and such, and sold to Grum, yup, quite profitable! Also, I don't know when you recorded this, but this week, I was able to pick up 3 bonds for 5.5M each.
When I started back not too long ago I saw someone had sold something like 120k cut sapphires to the general store in AL Kharid. I bought so many and made so much good profit from turning them into rings.
just make 4 f2p accounts then get them all to level 40 crafting and optionally 1 account with level 55 magic for high alch then just make all of them run ruby necklaces and have 1 of them high alch then you will have enough for a bond in 1 aggressive session or a few less stressful sessions
Last i remember i was making dough, pies, chocolate stuff and pizzas. Bonds were about 2m at that time. After a few weeks I finally had enough. Bonds went up to 3.5m. I quit.
I'm a bond-only player that never spent a dime on osrs. It's a grind for sure and if you have the money I advise just paying for it, but to me the game isn't worth the money (broke college student) and most of my time playing rs as a kid was f2p, so I'm used to it. I made it through dragon slayer and got mid 30s combats before getting mems.

Also was training every single other skill and from scratch on a f2p in an inefficient manner that hopped around in skills + haven't played rs in years before that. It was a journey.

One of the issues with this is that starting off members with those stats. I can't see sustaining that bond unless get lucky in 330, with someone sponsoring you a mil or two, repeating what you have been doing and maybe HA + BF. Or flipping some random members stuff. Or maybe PKing those dragon bots for the staff of air back ;)
I've always found buying at shops and selling at the Bandit shop is the best consistent money maker on f2p. If you remain low level less Pkers get you.

this video reminded me when i started OSRS a random guy in rune armor was following me around. i avoided him for a bit because it was a bit creepy. he followed me even after i warped back to lumbridge. i finally asked him what he wanted and he just sent me a trade, gave me 2 million gp and then logged out. i haven't logged back in since that day but i probably should keep playing OSRS, esp since i'm still just a f2p
I earned my first bond doing mining and smiting. (when I didn't know any better, lmao) but I eventually made an alt and I yelled grabbed wines of zamm. they used to be alllot more too tbh. but still can be done ngl
24 hours of playtime is still much lower than what it takes normally. From new account to bond took me over a week of in game time 💀 Got to like 600 total level though so not too bad
You can make around 800k-1m per hour depending on how fast you are and how much money you have from buying feathers from port sarim. After a while it takes a while to sell the feathers, but 6 hours worth of that would pay for a bond.

An easy way to check is to check the wiki on the shops for what they buy things for. Speciality stores (places that trade armour/weapons/jewellery) or the west ardy shop/karamja shop/bandit wildy shop. The key info is the “buys at” price. This is the percentage of the “value” which is a preset price by jagex. The best shops are those that buy at 55-60% of the value price. This is give or take the same as high alch price. Check the “value” of the items and then you can see what the shops will give you for it

i got my crafting to 90 in f2p like month just making profit and making necklaces made enough for. like 4 bonds . lol takes a lot time but profit is dope had no one teach me how to make cash f2p just getting back mathing and making it happen

Yeah I killed 3 bots one night near lava dragons. All had jugs of wine a fire staff and of course full lava dragon inventory
The wilderness bandit shop was the way i earned my first bond in f2p, was making close to 2m an hour( not including buy times on ge)

The channel “Dicerz” has a good video on how to maintain an OSRS membership while making progress as a new member. He was my go-to.
Before the GE, I used to sell wildy capes for 5k each. They sold like hot cakes. Massive hit of nostalgia for me
making any of the consumable jewelry is profitable in f2p, as they are used a lot in p2p (Games necklaces, digsite pendants, recoils, duel rings)

If you really want to yolo it, collecting and alching earth staffs in the wilderness is pretty damn quick.

i got my crafting to 90 in f2p like month just making profit and making necklaces made enough for. like 4 bonds . lol takes a lot time but profit is dope had no one teach me how to make cash f2p just getting back mathing and making it happen
