I just left FL from a 3 week trip where I was everywhere from key west to Okeechobee. it was my second trip to FL and I have to say the fishing down there is a lot tougher than I thought. I caught fish but most were small. I lost a few big bites and I did land a pretty nice catfish and about a 5 or 6 pound peacock but it was a grind in both fresh and saltwater. Also I am from the midwest and that sun down there feels like it's right on top of you for sure. lol
Hey man I live in Florida and I know of a really good spot for bass fishing. You may not want to drive too far to get there but if you are near Connerton there are a bunch of great bass fishing ponds in that neighborhood. My friend caught a 10lb+ bass in a small pond there. I have caught several good bass in there as well and they have a big lake which there are also bass in.
