My roots are from Iloilo. My maternal grandmother is from Pasi Iloilo but I was born in the neighbor Negros island, Negros Occidental. Most of the last names from that Pasi starts with letter “P” like my grandma’s last name is Panabe and my great great grandma is Palabrica. I live in Metro Manila now. I am happy to see the progress of my mother island. By the way you are a great story teller, narrator, speaker, vlogger etc. You and Texas Filipino are the TH-camr from Panay island that I watch. Keep promoting Iloilo. Soon it will be on par or even surpass Manila, Cebu and Davao.

Awesome! $480 would not be enough for a roach infested hole in the wall located in the worst part of town where I live...least of all a beautiful apartment in a veritable paradise!
The Philippines is where I hope to retire. It's unique culture, kind citizens, slow paced and affordable lifestyle, and of course, beautiful nature, make it an ideal retirement destination. Such a pleasant city and town. I was in Bacolod but Iloilo has the edge in several aspects. Bacolod, a neighbor, must take a leaf. They have the money but the local council doesn't have a clue how to beautify it. Cheers from Spain! Thank you for showing us.

There are plenty of well-maintained parks, Spanish plazas, beautiful gardened riverside Esplanades with biking lanes, jogging paths, fragrant flowerbeds , trees and palmtrees, bougainvilleas, and there's the new Iloilo City Garden of Love. There are three more City tree parks being built simultaneously: the Iloilo City Beach tree Park overlooking Guimaras island, at the sandy beach area of Villa Beach in Arevalo district; the Lanit tree Park in Jaro District; and the Loboc Mangrove Trees Park and Birdwatching area, also overlooking Guimaras island. All three parks will also have jogging and strolling paths, visitors' resting sheds, food kiosk, and viewing decks overlooking Guimaras island. Also under construction simultaneously are new riverside Esplanades and biking lanes. We're watching here these two new ones: 1)the Sunset Boulevard with biking lanes and riverside Esplanades, 4.5kms. 2). the Dongon Creek Esplanades with biking lanes, 4.5kms. These two new Esplanades/boulevard are very near or just adjacent to the condos mention here in the video by Traveling Tutor. Also forthcoming are the new modernized big public markets in the City of ILOILO. Not in my opinion. Having said that i look for investment properties. They have to have positive cash flow. Its hard to do that with a condo. Its not a complaint or anything its just not a fast enough return on investment for me. I’d be willing to discuss numbers sometime with you if you want. I just am afraid the rental is too low as a percentage to make it work. For me an investment must make a monthly return on my money. Some buy it for a home and it fits perfectly for their needs.
