I have watched on TH-cam channel many times about this city and I have observed this city is very beautiful and clean.. Zamboanga city here 👋
It's clean by Filipino standards which are very low. Still dirty by Western standards I'm afraid.........
Looks clean and beautiful buildings 😮 I haven’t been there yet. I love ph
That place looks so clean
Iloilo looks really nice, going to have to talk the Mrs into visiting there one day. Thanks for sharing, Michael...Jim
Welcome to come to the Philippines enjoy your day
Heading back to Philippines in 2 weeks and staying at a condo instead of a hotel when I arrive then at various beach resorts Ive already booked. So excited to be back to look for an ideal place to call home.😅
Texas Filipino has an air bnb that is on the beach and it's quiet . It's about 30 min to 45 min to iloilo city. Promise great people and very quiet and they can give ya places to visit
Wow! Thanks for letting us know this...planning to go there soon! ❤❤🙏🏻🙏🏻
Love the drone footage, very professional
Nice
Lot is outstanding price, should be able to sell quickly..OFW may jump on this,,😊
Just finished catching up on all your videos so far. Just wanted to say thank you for sharing so much about The Philippines. Ill be going to The Philippines, Negros Occidental island in July 2024 staying around Calatrava area. It will be my first time there definitely hyped after watching all your videos. Thanks again!
Another great vlog Michael. I truly appreciate your efforts in producing these!
Wow amazing place, europian vibes❤
Very nice condo but maybe a bit out of my price range. That piece of land looks good. I have seen that traditional dance with the bamboo before on someone's video. Be my luck to get my foot caught in the middle lol.
that condo is beautiful!!
Beautiful City Destination 💯🙌
sir thanks for introducing ph to your followers despite the scorching heat of the sun.
We are moving to Megaworld Bacolod. Hope it ends up as nice as Festive Walk! Condo you stayed in looked great. Drone footage was spot on. All the best from Tysons/D C. (Where all your information is kept ...wink wink 😉)
Keep that safe 😂😂
Nice shirts. Cool when its 100F and safe on the streets!!
That's shirt in the beginning I had spent over 3.5 hours with a jacket over it on a bike in the heat haha it was a write off for sure
We have a unit in Saint Dominique which is beside Saint Honore. Will be there this summer from your home country. Hopefully we will bump into you. We enjoy following on TH-cam. 👍👏👌
I just stayed in this building last week with my Filipina Fiance. This area is going to be something great. Loved our time there before heading to her home town in Antique. Front desk staff at both buildings are great and welcoming. Super reasonable price for the stay for the one we stayed in.
In the building next door all the units seems to have the access to the facilities like the pool. There's nothing keeping you from it.
What was the super reasonable price for the one you stayed in?
@@25Soupy I think our unit was serious $18 per day. So for a place that cost 10M PHP to buy in I would say that's very affordable to stay in Megawold.
That's a very beautiful town and the condos there are really nice. It doesn't even look like you're in the philippines.
Great video and AirBnB tour… Your ‘French’ is flawless 😂
😂😂
Nice Condo Units. Nice GYM. I am sorry but the Dogs. Just my 2 peso worth.
You are lucky to know a lot of rich friends with a lot of perks!
I have never met the people who own the condo, do you mean being invited to a birthday party?
Still going forward with my plan to be there in December, not sure where I will put down roots yet. The only spanner in the works is, I lost my job without reason last week so will have to hustle more for the next 7 months.
Haven’t used AirBnB in the US in years. With the additional fees and rules it became onerous.
I used it time to time still, they guarantee your stay and even give partial or full refunds if you are unhappy.
Yep, they grab your money but when something goes wrong they are just gone with the money and they play with your balls instead of giving a hand🤬🤬🤬!
@@ThatPhilippinesLife that's theorical, when you get in trouble you get some indians on the phone that barely speaks English playing with your balls for weeks😱😱🤬!
I rent my 2nd home in Myrtle Beach during June/July/Aug through VRBO. $3k a week plus $185 to clean. VRBO charges roughly another $1100 in fees. Crazy.
I miss my City, the City of Love❤️ 😍
I heard the electric lines are underground in Iloilo. Looks like it. awesome
Downtown for now is the current project but the hope is to do it all
I enjoyed my time in Iloilo, especially walking along the river
So SM has cows now? Sweet! That place has everything..
Haha pretty sure it's not theirs
WOW that is high on the land , I bought my land in PI. for about 640 per sq. meter .
Subdivisions in Iloilo are 12k to 25k at least these days. Many parts of the Philippines have cheaper land. It's all supply and demand
Wow... so much...??
I bought 1,1 hectar of land for 15 Pesos per sqm 😎
@@loulou55... Which subdivision in Iloilo is that? I have only seen prices like that far away from the city away from everything and large plots of land. In Ajuy Iloilo there is some around that price
@@ThatPhilippinesLife
of course it's not a subdivision in Iloilo City.
It was a family deal in a rural area in the vicinity of Janiuay.
Here in Canada, gyms open and soon close.
Really close to pulling the trigger on land in Guimaras! After all you've said about Iloilo, it just makes sense. Close to the airport, so traveling would be much easier. Talked myself out of Anda, Bohol. To far away for major cities. Thank you for your great videos Mike.
When you do, you can meet Jerry here on the video maybe
@@ThatPhilippinesLife that would be great. Your the best.
They keep saying that SM area will connect to Megaworld with a direct road. Who knows more about this?
We paid $1,500 a square meter 6 years ago. Built our home 5 years ago.
I get drenched also. If I walk alittle I sweat so much. It's very hot and humid in Cancun as well. 😅😅😅
I am not sure if Michael was pleased or traumatised by the cows in the City! 😂 BTW start to binge watch all the missed videos of yours Michael because i was so busy past few week's.😊
Those are pasture lands at the back of Megaworld..
I love cows ❤️ 😂 thank you I know it's hard to keep up with me
@ThatPhilippinesLife Michael your unreal pace in uploading of videos is impressive plus you are very consistent ,which reflects your work ethics! 🙌 The beautiful thing is it's now for you, the viewers and for the Philippines and not just for what ever company! ❤️
I prefer an area where I can use all grab services which there are a lot of areas where you can’t
Iloilo has all grab services
I live in ILOILO you can use Grab anywhere
You don't need Grab in Iloilo City.
every second vehicle in the streets is a taxi
and they run by meter even for foreigners.
Grab is for food.... 😁😎
@@loulou55... with grab you know the price you’re paying before getting the ride
@@rma1958 Plenty of grab taxi in Iloilo. Metered taxi is also available, modern and traditional jeepneys, buses and vans.
Hey mike
Yes Iloilo is another world from the streets of Manila or Cebu.. they litterally stop 🛑 at traffic lights..🚥 the street are Immaculate..👍🏾🇺🇲🇵🇭
Are you crazy? Iloilo is small compare to those 2 megacity. Bago ka mag comment alamin mo muna para hindi ka tanga.
Looks great, as i understand it. Megaworld, Saint Honore hotel, 30 minutes from Iloilo..?
I did not know they had a hotel 30 minutes away actually
I would be jumping into something like that condo like a cheap suit. I would be finding something to live in permanently just like that! It might be nice to rent one for 6 months or a year if you like that area? Even try to buy one pre construction and get a upper level unit with a awesome view! and wait for it to be finished. I'm sure they have payment plans.
Yea all the big places have payment plans for the first two years some three
Might be more to do in Iloilo 👍
As always, i am a foreign though i am native here.
Same here. I think I won’t know my way around Iloilo City where I used to study and hang out in the ‘80s.
I thought for a moment i heard Whitney Houston, the real one! 😅 ❤
Mike it looks BOILING there….is it really that bad? How u dealing with it?
Would like you to do a best of budget hotel reviews in each city you travel to.
Are we talking about under P1000? Typically those are the places you should avoid
@@ThatPhilippinesLife places like Go Hotels Iloilo, Iloilo City, urban inn iloilo , city corporate hotel iloilo, circle inn hotel iloilo
@@ThatPhilippinesLife do videos on pension houses like queens in iloilo
@@raymondcox3585 oh ok I looked them up about 1800 to 2000 a night. Perhaps one day sure
@@ThatPhilippinesLife thanks for commenting
In Thailand that's a below average condo. In Thailand the price would also be half.
How does Jerry own those lots? I thought foreigners couldn’t buy land in the Philippines? And how could another foreigner buy it?
It is great to see such developments in the Philippines. I saw somewhere the super rich like Jeff Bezos and even super rich Filipinos in the US are buying out a lot of the land including entire islands. Palawan is almost sold out with soon to be resorts for the rich and super rich.
I am sure they also have to compete with the Chinese and Koreans that are getting in thru a local corporation...??
I am assuming this area does not get hit by major cyclones.
Totally correct. Palawan's out of the typhoon belt, which along with its beautiful beaches and scenery makes it all the more appealing. My one and only visit was January '00 and my guide told me that land was ridiculously inexpensive. If I recall correctly, it was something like P400 per sq/metre. I'm uncertain if there are any active volcano's on Palawan? It truly is 'paradise found'. Well, it once was before the elites bought it up.
Kind of sucks not to be able to use the pool at least..😊
Turned out she was mistaken you can use the pool and gym
Thank you much for sharing this video! I’ve been living in the US for a long time and I’m going to early retire soon back in Philippines and to have a great life for my remaining years of my life. It’s more fun and cheap but great value for my hard earned dollars.🥰
Looks like Newport next to Terminal 3 in Manila. Not sure of what the draw would be for foreigners since the beaches don't look like anything special in the general area.
yes...I wondered about that??. The sand on these beaches looks like they are brown/grey in color...more like a beach by a river rather than by the sea. I do not find it appealing at all. It is odd, as I assumed all sandy beaches by the ocean were either a golden color or white sands like in Palawan.
@@Dan-xx5jq I wish. In that general area , I like Moalboal Cebu
Guimaras is just near. 2-3hrs north are white sands 🤭 Antique is 3-4hrs away. Beyond that, Aklan and Boracay.
@@alheaineNope Guimaras is just a 15minute boat ride and an hour later you can be on a white sand beach of Nueva Valencia..
The area around the airb&b is like the French Rivera. One could live there and never know there are poor people in the Philippines which is why a lot of foreigners like it. No brown-outs either, as folks elsewhere will be sacrificed, I suspect.
New outro song pleaseeeeeee this one's depressing lol
How big is the lot
Get that air conditioning cranken that will take the humidity out of the air and cool the air.
4K a night would not be something might want to stay at how are the prices there compared to Lapu Lapu that’s where I last stood
Yeah gold's gym. We had a gold's gym in Olympia, Washington 15 years ago but I'm sure there's lots of different gold's gyms is this guy from the United States?
Just curious 😃
Hello neighbor. I'm in Poulsbo WA. Just thought I'd shout out and say Hi.
I'm the Gold, gym owner. I grew up in Southern California so I know how to do a gym properly. That's why were the first to use gym 80 equipment in the Philippines made to order from Germany. There will be no gym like this in the Philippines.
@@lawman3966 Hiya 😃👋
@@markthomasfitness8710Oh wow Sounds great! 😃👍
The dogs would drive me wacko
cebu best place respect people only visiya, and iloilo pepole jealous foreign they are not respect, I was been there they speak with me bad words many men's
Enjoy your video's. But I'm curious how foreigners are owning and selling property or homes over there as your showing?
you can buy condos but not homes, sorry for that.
He probably got a Filipina wife...
They almost always have a Filipina wife
You can only own either a condo unit or a townhouse
@@dankennethjavier6775 you can own a house just not the land if you are only a foreigner with our a local spouse, just lease the land.
is there a shower in Gold's Gym Iloilo? Thanks
Yes it's going to have it all when it opens September 1
So can Filipinos cancel their Golds Gym memberships without being sent the round around or sent to collections?
That's not a thing here
Nice place, but you can’t use the pool???? Deal breaker in the heat of summer.
Later in the video you may have heard that girl told me wrong info you can use the pool and gym
Hey mate, how can I get in contact with Jerry about the property? Very interested in it? 20:51 20:58 21:12
The property tax in mandurriao are increasing…
Property taxes are usually so inexpensive I thought, how much per sq m per are they now per year for a built house
ours in bernwood subdivision is more than 8 thousand a year. 105 sq m2 maybe this year is going to be 9 or 10 thousand.
No dried fish... and NO DURIAN
Northern Iloilo is the Alaska of the Philippines, which means it is a rich fishing ground. Exported products in northern Iloilo are tabagak, pinakas, and other dried fish, etc., while Iloilo facing Guimaras has these world-class mangos, which are also exported. There is no durian in Iloilo Proper, but Mango Panay also has lanzones, RR rambutan, and durian, which are also in north-west Panay, but few.
Iloilo is one of the most liveable city in the Philippines, as it is the rice granary of the Visayas.
With all the dogs barking...the price just got down a lot...
Lol in the Philippines almost every house has a dog so there is no other options except maybe condos
What are the rental prices for a one bedroom?
Not sure there are any. Available in that specific building but in the nearby buildings a furnished studio condo is 30k, 1 bedroom 35k
At SM Styles they don’t have one
How to contact Gerry about his land
Message me ( every social media that Philippines life or Gmail) and I'll I can give you his contact
How much the Condo rent in Ilo ilo ??
67$ he put it in the video.
Hey Mike, Can I ask how much per night? thanks
Oh it was on the screen during the tour.i can't recall at the moment but fast forward around the main bedroom
I don't understand some of the prices in the Philippines. You can get WAY better accommodations in Malaysia, Thailand or Vietnam for a fraction of the price and they're more developed countries.
I don’t understand your ignorance. The Philippines is indergoing a massive infrastructure overhaul. It might seem slow but it’s going somewhere. Those countries you mentioned aren’t archipelago therefore logistically not a nightmare compared that to the Philippines with so many islands and not seamless.
@@Torchiefied My comment is rooted in knowledge and experience, ergo, the antithesis of ignorance. The PH rose colored glasses fan club is more delusional than a teenage girl from the USA.
According to Agoda Iloilo is where you can find cheapest hotel rates in the Philippines. But I totally agree that in other parts of Philippines the prices of hotels are really expensive.
Nobody force you to come to the Philippines.
The free market economy system prevails, supply and demand regulate the market.
Go stay at Texas Filipino!
Philippines couches are tiny, almost like kids couches. If you are over 6 foot it is tiny
I aleays dreamed of livingnin a dog kennel 😊....pretty quiet ? What a used car salesman
There are pretty much no subdivisions you won't hear dogs barking, almost every house has a dog
Can’t use the pool? 👎 pass. Nice unit though.
Hotel = St. HONORE` is derived from French, so shouldn't it be pronounced "San-to O- NO-REE"? ... For English speakers, I think it's "Saint O-NO-Ray." But being Canadian, this is elementary for you, isn't it, Michael? ... Does Iloilo pronounce it with the Spanish twist?
Could I get Jerry’s contact info please? Thanks so much
Message me ( every social media that Philippines life or Gmail) and I'll I can give you his contact
Many condos in China are built like that, open air concept,
Except in China, you might fall through the floor of the building might fall over🤣
@@user-hp9tv3vq5v Maybe , but they were built with Chinese money,
Why do you no longer want to live there?
Time for new things and zero houses in the beach here and that is my new goal
The place looks like Newport City in Pasay. But looks very quiet. You can’t use the Pool? That sucks! Forget that! I hate staying in some properties in the Phils. That charge you so much and yet the amenities are crap!
One thing good about this condo your staying. It’s more roomy. The ones in Manila especially SMDC its a broom closet! 😂
No way ! I was just in Iloilo’s for 2 months. It was totally boring , nothing to do, I mean nothing! Festive walk is a dead zone! I stayed right there and was so shocked at the lack of entertainment. After 10 pm forget it! No bars, no places to hangout. It’s clean! It’s quiet! It’s a nursing home!
☺️👍 Live it up !🎉💸
@@jamescalifornia2964 If you don't want the place, don't come to Iloilo, are you really a party guy old man? . If the place is ugly, ok, a quite little town... ok .... boring place? Ok, there are some who like the countryside. a farm, a quiet place, so they chose Iloilo. They chose a farm instead of a city. Anyway Iloilo is growing this May 2024 started the Visayas Container Terminal.... means Iloilo now can import raw materials ... process it by factories and manufacturer here ... and export world wide.... this important than you because it will create jobs, income, and what you wish party party where just follow...
Oh yea party life isn't here but those who are past the age of clubbing it definitely is very popular.
If you really wanted bars and nightlife, then you should have gone to Smallville. Lots of bars, live music, karaoke bars, and dance club venues. Also, coffee bars and hotels etc.
@@robbarnett537 I did go to smallville several times. Most of the places were shut down. The one had music blasting so loud you couldn’t sit there. I don’t want to trash the place it’s clean, very quiet with great roads . But no entertainment, small population, malls have empty of people. It’s like they built it nice but no one came. Not worth the trip there to me.
I thought top place for foriners moving to the Philippines was Dumagati,no mater what year.95% off American men divorce move to Dumagati.Even the homeless,I sopose they have to make America grate again. If you have American money you are king in the Philippines.
Dumaguete was the top place 2010-2020 but not really much anymore for all the new commers
Yes Dumaguete is a top spot for expats.
But there is a growing number of expats who avoid
such hot spots like the plague. 😉
What is the selling point of this city? I had never heard of it, looked it up on map no nice beaches or nature nearby. So why here vs all the other spots in the Philippines?
Nothing... just forget it.
Please take time for hygiene, the first segment while at Megaworld you looked grubby. I'm surprised they let you in. Air BnB was nice, looked new.
I literally got off a motor bike riding 3.5 hours in the incredible heat with dirt being flung at me...lol this is a vlog not scripted or pre arranged
can't use any of the facilities? rip off!

He has a house nearby already and in a previous video you can see he is building his dream fishing village type getaway on the island next to the city. He isn't get out of anything just freeing up capital
You do a LOT of "commercials" You are getting away from showing cities, country, vistas, etc.
Seriously too much. Doubt you pay for anything now which further is eroding your credibilty
Is amazing the number of "friends" you have that have something to sell - sounds more like scamming
You can literally see my friend 6 months to a year ago in my videos before they had all this...you maybe only started to watch my channel. Anyway I'm happy to see my friends do well. Your idea of scanning is quite strange
Iloilo is nothing special just a lot of crazy traffic.
Good Idea with a Gym, when every house there has an own one🙃🙃
