PSA for everybody, this video was published in Ryanair pilot recruitment instagram as a reference for cadets to what to expect during the assessment day and is NOT an actual assessment somebody filmed. However as a cadet myself who went under the assessment successfully, I can assure this is highly accurate from start to finish! Good luck to the assessment everybody, remember - preparation is key!
1:45 "So just as you're about to touch down, jam the yoke forward like this for the roughest possible landing, then move it quickly to the left to get as close to a wing strike as possible. You'll fit right in."
I haven't done the assessments but I have been told you will be asked to give a little presentation on an aircraft you are familiar with (like a C172) and speak a little about the electrical systems, avionics systems etc along with knowing stall speeds, VX,VY etc... You may be asked a little on stall/spin recovery procedures too.
no from what ive been told they give you Easa style charts with ryanair logo so you better be comfortable with reading official charts. I know jeppesn is better and most crew expect you to use it but i have yet to go to an interview where i was given a jeppesen style chart, its always been like an official style one. which kinda goes against normal ops????
Yes, you all should have your Go Pro attached to your shirt and show up for your dream job. Make sure you record your experience in details! Recruiters love this, when pilots show soooo much interest in new job. Make sure you dress extreme casual so it shows how confident you are in your skills and abilities. Make sure you comment extensively during interview, so your video is not boring.
HR interviewer is there simply to ensure ‘Diversity’ and ‘Quotas’ are met. Capability and professionalism takes far less precedence. Go in wearing a 🏳️⚧️ flag around your shoulders and you’ll get the job. The sad reality.

Mate just land hard and you will get the job
@Xibby Same here - I've had a couple but only ever at airports with difficult conditions.
...
😂
LOL
And as far away as possible from the actual destination :)
"What do you know about flaring or soft landings?" "Nothing" "Here´s your contract"
Not a tie in sight.Times have changed.
I thought that this was going to be a joke video about how you can't get the job if you can't bang your plane off the tarmac. 🙂
Did you get the job? By the way, that landing was scary hahaha.
Where’s the bit where you enter your card into the machine ?
Technical interview....
“what do you know about the Max?..”
“Nothing really...”
“Excellent, when can you start?.”
lol
Looks like a job interview for shift manager at McD's.
Pretty cool video. How did you manage to shoot this? Are you already a pilot flying for Ryanair or do you work for the recruitment team?
Great insight! Do you mind giving feedback as to what technical questions you were asked? Thanks

Is that the onion?
So this guy is already type rated?
That sim landing was way too smooth. Better luck next time
Cool.
Did you pay for your type rating?
Of course he did. Ryanair is not going to pay for shit. They will also pay shit wages. Avoid unless you only plan to stay for 2yrs.
@@Rambo9700 I'm surprised nobody tried to sell him some scratch cards
@@Valy18 🤣🤣🤣
@@Rambo9700 Ryanair pilots are on very good money... same salary as all pilots in all airlines throughout Europe

LOLOL really
Nothing for poor fellas! Cost a lot of your parents money to get a interview for Ryan.
The angry lesbian receptionist should get fired
How do you know she was “angry”?

Planning on applying for this soon, I was considering spending a few hours in a tanning bed in addition to the rest of my prep
Failed smashed the aircraft on touchdown
A joke
