Fantastic news! I truly admire your professionalism, Mr. Mark Duffy and Mr. Angelo Currao. I am confident that I would collaborate excellently with you as a pilot. I aspire to have the opportunity to meet you in person. I have been following your work for some time, and each time I see you, I am greatly inspired. I appreciate the insights you provide about Ryanair's cadet pilot opportunities. I deeply respect and love Ryanair, believe in its mission, and I am eager to be a part of the largest airline family. Thank you for the inspiration and guidance!
A bit of research would tell you that this is no ordinary tape but Speed tape which is specifically designed for this purpose. It's very expensive and can withstand conditions where every other type of tape would fail. Some more research will tell you the part they are taping is the flap track fairing which is just a cover on top of the actual parts that move the flap. This is equivalent to you applying tape on top your car's mirror housing. But then had you known this, this video would not be so headline grabbing would it 😊
It's a flap fairing, which hold the components used to extended and retract flaps. mainly there to produce a smooth outline and reduce drag. Nothing critical
Yes, you all should have your Go Pro attached to your shirt and show up for your dream job. Make sure you record your experience in details! Recruiters love this, when pilots show soooo much interest in new job. Make sure you dress extreme casual so it shows how confident you are in your skills and abilities. Make sure you comment extensively during interview, so your video is not boring.
1:45 "So just as you're about to touch down, jam the yoke forward like this for the roughest possible landing, then move it quickly to the left to get as close to a wing strike as possible. You'll fit right in."
Easy job, only cost 100k to train for it, then you work very early or very late, you're being tested every 6 months, your medical has to be renewed each year, if you fail it then it's game over, you can be based far from home in a different country... Youre easily replaceable... But sure if everything goes to plan you're basically just pushing buttons 😂
Person of colour talking about his aspirations to fly planes...cuts to footage of fire engine rushing to a call out. I'm reporting this video for racism.
PSA for everybody, this video was published in Ryanair pilot recruitment instagram as a reference for cadets to what to expect during the assessment day and is NOT an actual assessment somebody filmed. However as a cadet myself who went under the assessment successfully, I can assure this is highly accurate from start to finish! Good luck to the assessment everybody, remember - preparation is key!
People nowadays need to stop generalizing what it is like "being a pilot" Even within the group of commercial airline pilots there is a huge difference in quality of life, pay, benefits, roster flexibility, working conditions, quality and lenght of layovers and overall "glamour" in working for a low cost carrier as compared to a flagcarrier. There is probably no other profession where people are treated more unequal while essentially doing the same work.
How conceited of him to think that we don’t realise that travelling by car is more dangerous than flying. Being a pilot doesn’t mean you’re Einstein and the rest of us are…….
Incredibly, many people do believe flying is dangerous. Quite crazy... although I suppose when something does go wrong with a plane, it tends to be big news and quite serious, albeit rare!
It's not conceited of him at all! He's actually quite correct. The vast majority of the general public are actually quite thick (particularly when it comes to aviation), whether you like it or not!
@@jetsetter797 wow you’re as bad as him. “The vast majority of the public are are quite thick”. A broad statement based on absolutely no scientific evidence whatsoever. Why would anyone but a pilot give a sh@t about aviation? If you board a high speed train in Japan or Italy for example do you need to be an expert on trains to travel on one? Heaven help us if you’re a pilot. Having preconceived ideas about things is not a good trait for someone expected to deal with an emergency with an open mind.
This video hasn't aged very well, Aiden
The best family, Ryanair!

THANK YOU!
This is actually very normal to do. It’s considered a temporary fix until they can get it in.

So this guy is already type rated?
"What do you know about flaring or soft landings?" "Nothing" "Here´s your contract"

If it's not a black man from a low income family at the controls then I don't feel safe.
Not a tie in sight.Times have changed.
Failed smashed the aircraft on touchdown
Lolzords this guy was a Jimmy Diddler.
Ridiculous... so... they let you film the process...😂😂😂 please thumb down, "do not recommend"
Is that the onion?
Nothing for poor fellas! Cost a lot of your parents money to get a interview for Ryan.
I thought that this was going to be a joke video about how you can't get the job if you can't bang your plane off the tarmac. 🙂
LOL XD
Wonderful story...and video!

Pretty cool video. How did you manage to shoot this? Are you already a pilot flying for Ryanair or do you work for the recruitment team?
Looks like a job interview for shift manager at McD's.
Absolute predator
I bet you are

Does Russell like to sniff coke off a topless womans chest in Johannesburg before boarding a flight like his colleagues?
What did she do to get the interview 😂
Grow up 🙄
Applied, not sure what else she would have done.
A lot. I know her from Dunboyne and her lungs were probably clogged up she’d been taking so much.
