For example when he accidentally let's Rhino out of the helicopter cage, instead of yelling at Miles...he eats pizza and asks Miles to promise to be good, then goes on vacation and leave the city to Miles LMAO!

Fans were originally pissed off because they permanently killed a very well-developed version of Peter Parker in the _Ultimate Spider-Man_ comics in order to introduce Miles Morales as their new protagonist halfway through the series. It was a very abrupt transition for fans and a mostly unpopular decision that heavily damaged the sales of the _Ultimate_ universe for Marvel Comics. In subsequent versions of Miles Morales, however, Marvel has learned that they don’t necessarily need to ruin great characters of the past just to make the new characters good as well. So now they tend to keep Peter Parker around in some form to actually help mentor Miles Morales and work alongside him.

Was watching clips of Into the Spiderverse when I saw this notif pop up. They really did justice with Miles with both that movie and this game and I actually prefer these versions than the comics version of Miles.
So crazy to think he was only introduced 10 years ago. Just finished the game recently and hoping to platinum it after I’m done with Ghost of Tsushima. Love this game, into the spider-verse, and the comics so much. Very happy that he’s more well known now.
What a game. The emotional weight wasn't as great as the first game, but it was overall still enjoyable and worthy of purchase. A fantastic filler until the next full game! And that soundtrack was 🔥.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales was absolutely awesome. Engaging, emotional, humorous and heartfelt. Swinging around the city, just like in the first game never gets old. That’s a huge time waster alone. I absolutely love this game, and Miles is an amazing protagonist. Peter is awesome and always will be, but Miles has become my favorite Spider-Man. I’m definitely looking forward to the next entry with him.

i really thought this game did a good job of really making miles be a friendly neighborhood spiderman, whereas in the first game, peter parker felt like a great spiderman BUT kinda larger than life. Peter kinda protects all of new york and therefore can't be a friendly neighborhood spiderman, but with miles and his relation and focus on Harlem, he really does embody that friendly neighborhood spiderman we love

While I overall like the game, I just can't forgive how insultingly short the campaign is. Not only short, but a bit more cliche than i was expecting. It definitely has some good, even great, moments. But I would not recommend anyone pay $50 for something that is over in roughly 5 hrs. I don't like being kingdom hearted. If you aren't ready to give me the next actual game in the story, then don't offer me some spinoff game. Especially if the spinoff can't even be bothered to continue the narrative that you started. Because now this game is a waste of time. And I hate saying that. Miles deserves a real full length game. And if you're gonna make him a part of this universe and story, then make it matter. Overall, a 7/10
Totally agree, Miles could have easily benefited from having a longer story, especially since he's been around for like, 8 or 9 years in the comics. The whole Roxxon and Underground power struggle was super cliche and Simon Krieger? the most by the books evil business man and I hated that. If the game had been longer, it would have benefited from having a better story. But because this is a spinoff, they have to make it smaller and compact because Miles is still new at being Spider-Man. I'm sure after Marvel's Spider-Man 2, we'll see how Miles has progressed as a character.

I'd say do the friendly neighboorhood side quests before finsihing the game cause it makes that line "That's our Spiderman!" feel more impactful. Like You spent a lot of the game helping people around town, and yeah a lot of them are small scale stuff like catching pigeons or something like that, but it really does show the character of Miles just being a good kid who wants to help people. And he really does earn the Spiderman mantle.
Look through this game, and then going back to the original game, makes Miles' dads death hurt a bit more. I mean it already hurt, but getting to know Jefferson Davis more through his family and just seeing how good of a kid Miles is because of his parents....man it gets ya.
Hope that this is in the bundle for us when we can afford a PS5 come Xmas 2021. I am glad the game is well done even if it is a shorter tighter game. This and Sackboy are the 2 games so far at the console's launch we most look forward to.

I really hope they include Spider-Gwen at some point. There is a lot the could do plus it would just be awesome to have three Spider-People in a game universe and you would J.J. freaking out again. Can we also give credit to Darin De Paul for doing awesome voice work for J.J.?

i really thought this game did a good job of really making miles be a friendly neighborhood spiderman, whereas in the first game, peter parker felt like a great spiderman BUT kinda larger than life. Peter kinda protects all of new york and therefore can't be a friendly neighborhood spiderman, but with miles and his relation and focus on Harlem, he really does embody that friendly neighborhood spiderman we love

Excellent review. It’s cool how they put the Miles spin on it instead of copy and paste.
While I overall like the game, I just can't forgive how insultingly short the campaign is. Not only short, but a bit more cliche than i was expecting. It definitely has some good, even great, moments. But I would not recommend anyone pay $50 for something that is over in roughly 5 hrs. I don't like being kingdom hearted. If you aren't ready to give me the next actual game in the story, then don't offer me some spinoff game. Especially if the spinoff can't even be bothered to continue the narrative that you started. Because now this game is a waste of time. And I hate saying that. Miles deserves a real full length game. And if you're gonna make him a part of this universe and story, then make it matter. Overall, a 7/10
Totally agree, Miles could have easily benefited from having a longer story, especially since he's been around for like, 8 or 9 years in the comics. The whole Roxxon and Underground power struggle was super cliche and Simon Krieger? the most by the books evil business man and I hated that. If the game had been longer, it would have benefited from having a better story. But because this is a spinoff, they have to make it smaller and compact because Miles is still new at being Spider-Man. I'm sure after Marvel's Spider-Man 2, we'll see how Miles has progressed as a character.

@Darth Destroyah then why not call this another DLC pack and cut the price in half? Or at least down to $40? $50 for something you can beat in 5 hrs?! Even call of duty is mocking this game's length. And that's a game that NO ONE buys for the campaign to begin with. If miles gets a 2nd game, I refuse to even consider buying it unless it's at least twice this long

I'd say do the friendly neighboorhood side quests before finsihing the game cause it makes that line "That's our Spiderman!" feel more impactful. Like You spent a lot of the game helping people around town, and yeah a lot of them are small scale stuff like catching pigeons or something like that, but it really does show the character of Miles just being a good kid who wants to help people. And he really does earn the Spiderman mantle.
Impact web is honestly Peter Parker Spider-Man's most broken ability.

Look through this game, and then going back to the original game, makes Miles' dads death hurt a bit more. I mean it already hurt, but getting to know Jefferson Davis more through his family and just seeing how good of a kid Miles is because of his parents....man it gets ya.
I feel like Miles wasn’t as interesting in this game as he was in SpiderVerse. He felt too similar to Peter Parker but without the quips
Don’t expect this Miles to beat ITSV one. That’s impossible but he’s good. I like his gameplay more than Peter’s.
Hope that this is in the bundle for us when we can afford a PS5 come Xmas 2021. I am glad the game is well done even if it is a shorter tighter game. This and Sackboy are the 2 games so far at the console's launch we most look forward to.
