    That guy Osiris is truly the best! I found his videos while watching hours of other boring Diamond videos. His videos make it actually fun to learn about one of the biggest purchases you’ll make in your life! 10/10 recommend!!!

    Thanks Osiris just ordered off of Blue Nile. Don't know if I really saved much money. But feel very confident with my order. Thanks to your videos.

    I just found your channel after going down a diamond rabbit hole. I basically bought a bunch of diamonds online in a short amount of time thinking I was getting deals and wasted all money money. I did my own research but it was definitely not enough. I got my first GIA certified natural diamond ring (solitaire) in the mail today and it looked beautiful to me online but is SO depressing to look at in person. 😢😩 I paid $1500 for it too- it’s the most expensive purchase I have EVER made. They have a return policy so I justified it but now I’m just not wanting to return it and deal with the hassle of them possibly not accepting it after it’s been in my possession or saying I damaged it.
    I wish I would have seen your videos before!! They listed it with the info from a GIA certificate (that was 6years old- I’m thinking it’s been more damaged since) and they did not show the FULL GIA pamphlet, just portions- had I just seen the diamond image with the symbols of the inclusions, I would have NOT bought it. I’ve never seen such an included GIA report image!!! It looks like 4th of July fireworks on the entire top corner of the diamond image. It totally makes sense now why the top corner looked crushed at first sight, I thought it was a glare in the zoomed photos and was just so hopeful.
    I wish I would have found these videos sooner but thank you for making them! It will definitely save someone else from my same mistakes😬 and me in the future if I ever decide to buy again😅

      Im sorry to hear you had a bad experience. If you bought from a reputable dealer online they accept returns no questions asked. I have reviewed many ring where I bought myself and returned. No questions asked. Only by online when you can see an actually image of the diamond. My preferred vendors on my site all have 20x zoomed images of the diamonds plus no questions asked refund policies.

    Wow. New subscriber here. Love the content thank you. However, I'm getting cold feet and am going to marathon watch you until I can either justify not popping the question or until I have found the "right" diamond and setting. And you know what? I woke up stress free this am. 😂

      Hahaha well adding stress is not my intention. Thanks for supporting the work. I will try to update some diamonds on my site today so you can see some good deals out there. At least with your new knowledge you can buy more confidently.

    In the Proportions diagram section you're showing
    The pavilion facets, I believe are 75%. Is that a good percentage? Your thoughts 💎😊

    Thoughts on g cal certification?

    • @OsirisDiamonds
      @OsirisDiamonds  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good, typically comes accompanied with GIA, has a cut/light report that goes deeper into light performance.

    I am seeing SI1s but they are showing the inclusion right around the center of the table. Should I be avoiding these?

    • @suchu6127
      @suchu6127 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it's usually recommended to avoid inclusions in the middle for a round as the top view is how we usually view a diamond

    • @OsirisDiamonds
      @OsirisDiamonds  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes one should be careful. Off center is ideal for inclusions. You would be surprised that some are still not viewable by the eye. But if you wish to avoid risk, then have the inclusions off center.

      Sometimes the smaller goods gets mini certs. Little cheaper. This is a business in the end. Smaller goods have less profit margin.

    Is a GIA certificate from December 2019 too old or is it okay? I just ordered from JA last week and it’s still in progress

    Hey brother been watching a tone of your videos and they are awesome. I know with a round diamond you don't want a thick girdle but I've been looking at the octagon and even the true hearts cuts have slightly thick to very thick girdle and was wondering if that would be an issue?

      Yes I can. It is located in the cert. if not there is a special UV light. If it has flour, it will glow.
