Wow. Where to start with Osiris. This dude is a serious GODSEND. I went to a physical store to look at diamonds. I had 0 idea what clarity, color, or anything was. I felt at the store I was being "sold" and did not like that feeling at all. After watching his videos I learned a ton, ordered my ring online, saved a bunch of money (seriously thousands) and got an overall better ring. Do yourself a favor and listen to whatever this guy says. He is spot on with the color, clarity, cut, everything. I personally ordered from Rare Carat as I found the search filters and criteria matched more compared to the other online stores. Osiris, you are the man. Thank you for everything.
I LOVE Rare Carat! ❤ for the same reasons. I knew not only the shape I wanted, but I learned all about what kind of dimensions I should be looking at. The top(called table) the flat spot on the top, should be under 70% and what not. Plus ideal cut and D E F clarity. Diamonds under a carat you can have SI. Slight inclusion- and it shouldn’t hurt the brilliance - depending on where the inclusion is.. and so on. VVSI of course is better. And IF the best. But good to know these things - to save money where we can without sacrificing brilliance Rare carat was super awesome to work with they helped me customize a ring I couldn’t recommend them enough.

I think you should really consider online with James Allen. Most people are fearful but you get more bang for your buck and honestly most people are glad they did it online instead of the retail store. No one ever regret their decision. And you can return It for a full refund so you have nothing to lose. I get it, I can’t imagine purchasing something that will be priced so high. But this is one time where I think an online wholesaler is better than a store front retailer. Remember their job is to sell first. With online, you do your research and then make an informed decision online and get more for your money. Just my opinion. Good luck on your purchase though, whichever way you decide.

Hey Osiris, I live in Canada should I consider buying diamonds from American sites? Is there a reputable Canadian site, I’m 27 looking to buy an engagement ring to surprise the love of my life! Thank you sir!
Hi KF, Blue Nile and James Allen ship to Canada overnight so I see no issues you considering them. I would say use the most trusted sources. I dont know of a specific website that is only Canadian so my apologies if I dont have a good answer.
Hey Osiris, thanks for you helpful vids. As a manufacturing jeweller I'm confused how a similar spec diamond on James Allen is less than our B2B diamond database or our local diamond wholesaler?
Hi Jesse, its wild isn't it. When I was selling a long time ago, I found that very frustrating. Sometimes, online has wholesale pricing. Other times you can get a bigger discount in wholesale.
@@OsirisDiamonds Hi Osiris, thank you kindly for your reply. When we have purchased stones online before and created a piece of jewellery and then sent it for evaluation. The valuer did not mark the stone up as much because he says it was purchased retail and not wholesale.

Hi, Yes I do. I am currently backed up with email due to a vacation but trying to catch up. I like Blue Nile and Brian Gavin as well. I search others too but often find the pricing is higher. So I focus on the best value.
Hey! Was looking at getting a round diamond on a yellow gold band. Was looking for an F color but then heard you say not to waste a D color on gold! Can you please expand a little? I have quite a good eye and I’m afraid the K color will look too yellow?!
Hi Jessica, Yes of course. When you have a yellow gold ring, it will introduce color into a diamond. So once you mount a D color, it will have a warm tone present due to the light reflecting off the yellow gold back into the diamond. Its a waste of money in my opinion. K-J color will be amazing for you with the added benefit of a bigger carat size.
Hermano, Thank you for the tips... Need your help... would you recommend me buying a ring my buddy is selling me for $8,500 . 2.1 CT Color is K with SI1 in clarity. Please need your advise.
Glad I was helpful. Buying from a buddy is tough. You dont know if buddy bought correctly and if the diamond has a great cut. I will say Price is very fair.
Any information on Radiants? 2 ct elongated should be at what depth not to look shallow? Also, does the thickness of girdle affect the diamond? Thank you
Hello, here are my favorite settings for radiants www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/all-diamonds/?Cut=Very+Good,Ideal,TrueHearts&Shape=radiant-cut&Polish=EX,VG&Symmetry=EX,VG&Lab=GIA,AGS&DepthFrom=62&DepthTo=70&TableFrom=62&TableTo=70?a_aid=5a73fd85d5e0d. You want to be in the 1.20 to 1.30 length to width ratio. I will say its subjective and some like the longer length to width ratios. Girdle is an aspect but is low in the list. If everything else checks the boxes and the girdle is a little hick, it doesn't mean the diamond will lack brilliance. It's more of a center mass issue rather than a light issue.

@@NoName-ll1ti oh yes I watched all his videos and amazing advice. Got my almond 2 carats , round brilliant cut (GS1) ok price from private dealer & im happy. Shopping for 3 Carats round to replace the old one much better higher quality soon. That’s why I’m watching & comparing. But , I’m retired, single & old school when it comes to this category. It’s just my humble way of shopping. Seldom shop online even clothes. But thanks for your advice too. All the best. 👍🇨🇦🙏
I respect that you are old school and understand.
Loving the research. Thanks for the great comment
Is IGI a trusted gem certifier ?
Hi, love your videos, I'm looking to buy an oval style diamond from James allen what would you recommend, I don't want to spend over 4k but are there any options on getting a bigger size as well as a decent color and clarity or what would you recommend.
Thanks for showing some love to my vids. If you want a larger look, stick to a 1.40-1.50 length to width ratio, Si1 and I-H color. Here is a link with all my fav settings. When searching avoid a heavy bowtie - www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/all-diamonds/?Color=I,H,G,F,E,D&Shape=oval-cut&Polish=EX,VG&Symmetry=EX,VG&Lab=GIA,AGS&Flour=None,Faint,Medium&DepthTo=63&TableTo=62?a_aid=5a73fd85d5e0d I hope this helps.
Can you Give me your opinion on GIA certified round brilliant measurements` 5.21-5.24 x3.27mm .55H color Sl2 Cut grade excellent , Polish Excellent. Symmetry excellent , fluorescence none, clarity characteristics crystal, cloud, feather, knot . Thanks peace and blessings. Appreciate your informative video’s and thanks for enlightening and educating people on diamonds.
So you are saying yes or no to very florescent diamonds?
Its a hell yes for me :)
@@OsirisDiamonds thanks
Hey Osiris, these are great videos! Can you do a video reviewing and comparing a company called Vrai?
Thanks Tina, I will look into that.
Hey Osiris, With the white gold ring, can I go with J colour or stick with H?
H color will look a lot better than a j in white gold.
I’m getting a rose gold band what color diamonds would you recommend?

What do you think about a 2ct emerald J color VVS2 on 18k gold solitaire band? I’m worrisome on the color should I go higher?
Hi Andrew, It will for sure look warm. But 18kt has a deep gold color so I think its worth a shot. Its gonna match nicely. If you find an I color thats close in price consider it.
i am trying to buy a tenzanite diamond ring which has "American International Gemologists" pre-sale certificate. Should i trust this certificate ? If possible please do a VLOG on various companies offer these diamond certifications. Besides GIA which one whould be truet?
I wouldnt buy AIG cert. GIA,AGS for natural, IGI for lab are the only ones I would buy.
Purchasing my first diamond, not sure what to get 😆
Looking for a 2 ct Emerald cut from Blue Nile!
Which parameters in white gold would you recommend?
Hi Teresa, Love Emeralds, for sure you need a high color- G color minimum and a vs1. Maybe you find a good vs2 but emeralds show their faults easily. Here is an article for Bluenile where I have some table and depth percentages for emerald there www.diamondcityonline.com/tips-for-using-blueniles-website/
Hi please help! i am wondering my sister just got 3.60gr diamond ring, i google it, it says around 18karat/ carat? And price around $4.000 australian dollar and i went to jewelry shop yesterday and i like one of the ring, cost $4.500 aus dollar, but it says 0.95 Carat TW Of Diamonds In 14kt White Gold, not even 18ct, so i mean why are they different? Means 0.95 is not good ? But why more expensive than 3.60gr ? Thank you.

Do you still offer diamond choice advice?
Any other retailers your recommend beside James Allen.
Hi, Yes I do. I am currently backed up with email due to a vacation but trying to catch up. I like Blue Nile and Brian Gavin as well. I search others too but often find the pricing is higher. So I focus on the best value.
Very helpful. Thank you
You're welcome.
They really ship diamonds via ups or mail?
Yes they ship it insured with signature required. Easy peezy.
what a g!
Nah you a da G! G!
Selling my 3pcs diamonds.
Aym prom Sri Lanka ai have diamond 58c.t
Is there another way to contact you other than e-mail if we were to ask for help with choosing diamonds?
Hello and thanks for reaching out. Yes email is the best way. Sometimes messages go to my spam but I always check as often as I can.
@@OsirisDiamonds thank you, I saw a 8.77x6.42. Its a 1.36 and not sure if it can still pass lol
@@karinachavez2425 It can work yes lol.
@@OsirisDiamonds i know you're busy lol, but if possible can you do a video on what to look for while searching for a nice diamond online? I seen your video on round cuts which helped a lot, but round is so different from the radiant 🤕 thank you
