I was a geology major without much money when we got engaged. But I saved up for a .5 carat G VS1 because I valued color and clarity more than size. (Conveniently, my wife has small hands!)

I love the way that you explained this! Very helpful to a beginner but still very detailed. I can tell you put a lot of thought into it and you have practiced explaining this to a lot of people before.

Great video, very informative. Just a question, I have been looking at some cushion shape diamonds and on the spec sheet they don’t always show the type of cut is this normal?

I really like your videos and I'm learning alot! But I wish that the music would stop after the intro. It's taking focus from what your are saying and it's hard for people like me, where english is the second launge, to really follow with you on everything. But everything els, I really apreciate your videos!

I wanted the cut and clarity to proceed the color and carat size. My diamonds shine very brightly. Even jewelers stop and stare at my ring. 😊

I've a 20.2 gold ring 💍 and on it is EF Ltd 750 D written on it and I don't know what it means except the 750 so went to three different places that buys salvage gold from me to learn more about this ring but of told me that they don't know what it means and one of them said, the D on the right means the maker's name..
But some how I didn't believe them and I was right cause from this video I've learned one important thing,,, which is don't the jewelers in the Caribbean...

Definitely the size, especially shopping for a yellow gold solitaire, to have a warm beautiful ring, I don’t like how the industry in America has turned into this fake gold mayhem as gold is yellow it’s always been yellow it always will be yellow. I think a 2,75ct K color VVS1 ideal cut in 18-24k yellow gold knife edged 2mm band is the most beautiful ring on Earth 🤩 it looks ancient but classy and sharp, sunny and just so beautiful and pairs with any and all jewellery & watches etc

Probably better to decide on a budget and then buy the best (not biggest) you can afford. Even if smaller.

    Which one is better .
    1. Diamond with VSI clarity F color and 40 cents round cut
    2. Diamond with VSI clarity and H color and 45 cent round cut
    3. Diamond with SI1 and H color and half a Carat round cut
Why you consisdered the one you considered ?

I have H color half carat earrings they’re pretty, they’re all fine for different purposes. Tiny diamonds are pretty in bands and right hand rings, but a center piece of an engagement ring obviously should be the bigger one
