Seems like a tech/proof of concept demo. Give it a few years and maybe it'll be a game. With the company's track record, I'm going to say it's abandoned in a few months.

Wow you can just see every little spec of detail put into this game. So much love. Watch out bg3 this game coming to take your title. God the rush I got when he looted that scarf from a filing cabinet, just one look at that cabinet and I knew it had to be something good. It’s just so well designed it was obvious how awesome it would be, god what an amazing game.

This game was made by unpaid hobbyists. In all honesty, it's a miracle that they even released this thing and that it actually runs.

I listened to the dialogue and thought the same thing. Pretty sure the story was an effort performed by plugging stuff into an AI generator after work at a normal job, every evening.

No number of red-flags will wake those people up, not even the surprise genre shift on-launch, which cancelled out the very reason they wanted the game (an open-world survival, not an extraction shooter).

The premise is stupid.
Inside the camp everyone is "we are a community and need to stick together" and outside everyone just shoots each other instantly. Makes no sense, it's like the narrative designers and gameplay designers never talked to each other.
The entire city is a 3D pack you can buy for 300 dollar. They litterally did nothing on this game, just bought a few ressources pack and threw them into the wild.
You put yourself through optional suffering immediately getting this game.
No amount of time can fix this garbage... The reputation of the devs speak for itself

Needs more zombies! Would be cool to see a system in place, (referencing Days Gone), where at certain times of the day, the siren would signal that a horde of zombies were coming, and they would migrate through the city along the street from one end to the other. They could have a couple groups branching off randomly here and there to make it more interesting and you have to stay hidden while they pass, or alert them if near by players are trying to attack you and use them as a getaway to exfil. My opinion though of course.
A zombie survival with hordes by night, morelike DyinLight with exfill options, sounds good! Something callofduty zombies will also never achieve to be 😅🤷♂️🤭🤣
I think the game needs more alarms and sirens....
Tutorial should've started with the combat, healing etc then spawn endless waves and have these guys save you. Show, don't tell.
Also, it would allow the NPC conversations with you to treat you like a badass, or even have some who straight out don't trust a killing machine like you. Then talk about how they have to keep an eye on less emotional people because they'll stick you like a pig the second their logic dictates.
Stop making sense and making the story 10 times better. xD

Dev telling people it's not a scam before it releases and was an obvious scam is easily one of the funniest things I've seen in gaming history. Everyone wanted a zombie survival MMO with some PvP elements and what we got was a shitty extraction shooter where the zombies feel like a total afterthought. So yeah, basically a scam.

I'm not even mad about the fake gunshots to make the game world seem more "alive". Back when I used to develop for Minecraft servers, one of my clients commissioned something similar in the form of a player count spoofer. It would dynamically adjust the player count to boost it just the right amount (not too fishy), as well as adding fake player names to the currently online list (taken from previously online players). Bro was bidding $1000s on server listing websites and had me doing the sketchiest shit lol.

It adds fake interactions to boost users feeling of success so that they'll continue to make content.

With the repeated delays, downgrades from the original trailer and copyright disputes - something told me this game's launch was going to be a trash fire. And they expect people to believe their game will be out of early access in 6 to 8 months? Nope. That's not happening. I'm expecting they'll be in early access much longer and that's assuming they don't abandon it like they have done with their previous titles.

I've never been so hopeful and excited for a game like The Day Before but immediately pump the brakes on my purchase after seeing the gameplay. This game is already flooded with item duping and money duping cheaters and it's only going to get worse.
