Awesome video! Definitely agree with your comment about making friends in your field (networking) and the last comments “enjoy life, but make sure to stay focused and on track.” Find that sweet balance! Thanks for sharing your tips!
Well, it just depends. If you can't sit for the exam until like 8 months from now it might just cause you to burn out by the time you get to the exam. But you know yourself best and if you will burnout or enjoy it. So at the end of the day its a personal decision.
i went to a safety school (96% acceptance rate) and graduated with a a barely 3.4 gpa, it didnt seem hard to get into i just applied online to only 1 of the big 4, got the interview which was sorta weird all 3 people i talked to didnt seem to really care they just asked a few questions got bored then asked me if i had any questions (was half of each interview) lmao, did the internship they all said it was a done deal just dont mess up, and then got the job offer between my senior year and mba, i never met any recruiters face to face but ill be honest i think i might have gotten in cause the recruiter who looked at my resume went to my school
Yeah I think that your story is one people overlook a lot. Yes sometimes it may be very hard to get into big 4 but sometimes it is much easier than people think. It really just depends. But yeah maybe that connection did help you out but congrats anyway!
Is a MAcc a masters of accountancy? If so I think its a great idea! Your courses will have some overlap so that will help you kill 2 birds with 1 stone and if you are not working you will have extra time to study.
Do not go into accounting. This field is full of a******* who are passive-aggressive. No one is willing to help you. No mentorship, you are expected to turn in perfection and the only suggestion or advice you have is to follow last year.
Aspiring accountant here, great video, i like the no bs straight to the point. Keep it up!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it!

Yes! 100%! Balance is everything and college is the perfect place to do both. Have fun and build your future at the same time.
Love your video. I'm interested in accounting and think the field has a lot to offer.
Thank you! and glad to hear you're interested in accounting. You came to the right place :)
@@JoeyCPA I hear one has to be proficient at Excel for accounting positions. How did you handle this? There is SO much to it.

Go to WGU and finish in a year instead of 4
Consider joining the military (camaraderie and a fall back income option)
why shouldn't we start studying early?

I’m guessing YOU are the problem.
