I just came across your channel. I am 48 years old and am in recovery for addiction. After an 18 year absence and a scholastic dismissal, I decided this week to return to the college I was attending to finish my Accounting degree and become a CPA. It has been a whirlwind week for me because I had to petition the college for the scholastic dismissal to be lifted, which was granted. I am enrolled in 2 classes, one of them being Managerial Accounting. I am excited beyond belief to be starting this journey again and seeing this video of you with all your positive energy encourages me even more. Like you, I have an addictive personality so I get it. I had no idea there were videos and channels of people who are CPA's and talking so enthusiastically about it Accounting and becoming a CPA. I've watched other channels but yours has really stood out. Thank you again. Jose G
Obviously CPA exam has been a pain in my butt that won't bother me any longer I have gotten my license already thanks to you Mr Dylan God bless you more cuz you made it possible for me
Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard, if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Willard.
Thanks for sharing. It’s encouraging hearing from you being from Latino family. I’m older, and work in construction as a concrete finisher, however; I hope in one year I’ll finish my bs in accounting from WGU. Hearing your story has motivated me to continue and not give up. Thanks alot.
Earned a sub with me. I currently lives in queens nyc and in school for accounting. I enjoy my classes, cant to finish up, get my CPA and work. Changing from construction management to accounting
@@BryanCarretoCPA I should be asking you for recommendations for career advice. We are both from NYC, Hispanic and in accounting haha. I'm currently attending LAGCC.
It’s such an inspiration seeing you speak about the luxuries of passing the exam. I relate so much to your story, also have 2 Mexican immigrant parents, first to go to college, first in corporate environment, 22 yrs old but have already been working, lowkey feeling screwed. But my biggest motivation has been the desire to see the 3 letters behind my name and give back to my family. Much love and Keep doing what you’re doing!!!
Thanks for sharing your story. I feel like I'm late to the career path, which makes me have my own insecurities. Like you, no one in my family graduated from college. I'm trying to be serious about a career and make changes in my life. I hope that accounting can change my life forever, too.
😊You are the most down-to-earth accounting blogger I’ve ever seen. You feel like both a mentor and a good friend. I’m also starting out in the auditing industry and didn’t know much at first. I found your videos while searching for information on accrued expenses. Although you speak quite quickly, I really enjoy your videos and hope you continue making them.
Thank you so much man of God, I truly appreciate you. I too will become a CPA. Any tips and recommendations would be appreciated. For example, if you had to start over, what would you do differently?
Hi Bryan, Congrats on how far you’ve come. I remember watching your first few videos. When you had the realization moment in that accounting class due to the surprise of having the highest score in the class haha. Those earlier videos of confusion really relate to my career as a 23 year old in finance. Any chance you offer advice/mentorship?
Hii... I am also trying for the exams.. But confused will i get good opportunities after clearing. I have recently shifted to US from india with my spouce. I ama chartered accountant in india having 5 years of experience. Please suggest whether i should go with CPA??
