Chief, I have noticed that in all your videos, you always are positive. I’ve never seen a negative video about anything, other than the reaction video you did about the “Mariner Trap”. Bravo. It’s nice to see some content out here that isn’t loaded up with negativity. Much love , fair winds and safe voyages.

Exhausted from trying to get help. The world is such a mess. You, however are so generous and educational. I really like your stories Chief. I did this for. many years myself, the last three as Chief Engineer, but I came ashore in 1974.. of course as Superintendent, , I came back many times to Singapore and dry docked our ships at all three of the major shipyards there. Good times they were too.

Nice to follow your life at sea as a mariner. I have a deep respect for your responsibilities and hard life aboard the cargo vessels and admire how each segment profiles your duties in detail. As a retired airman (airline pilot) my global travels are pale in comparison as far as hard duty times and time away such as you experience. One thing I was always grateful for was the "grunt" work was always handled by others who were really behinds the scenes but nevertheless appreciated as things would never move without them. Thanks for the great videos!

Wow, that MSC ship was impressive. Wonder what that baby would be like in a storm. Very convenient that the Port of Singapor is set up for fuel and food resupply. 150 tons of gas oil? wow! Messman is doing his duty in the freezer! Good to know all service was A-OK with the Singapor bunkering barge. Signoff? Heck...I'd stay on with you on any ship, chief~ you are squared away. Plus, I know how to cook!

With these bulk carriers, you generally have two primary ship line agents. One for owners matters and the other for cargo matters. When the vessel is sub-chartered, you may see a third agent representing that sub-charter company for cargo matters. I've seen as many as two sub-charter agents making for a total of four boarding agents visiting the captain. Kinda funny how it works out that way.

Now I understand and I pity them because of the hard and lonely life at sea. Good if they have the chance to have shore leave in every port but most of the time they can't go on shore leave because the work is hectic.
